Glad I found this video. I literally just bought this from Aldi last week. Never made bread in a machine before have always used an oven. I saw this like you for 50 bucks and said I got to get this. Great demonstration thank you.
Excellent commentary! I can't wait to try your gluten free bread recipe. I also did not find the first loaf using their recipe to be good. It was a non-gluten loaf. I have since gone online and used other recipes. Also...I bought this bread maker in September and used it once before misplacing the dough hook (face palm!). I reached out to the warranty email and told them exactly that (that I could not find the dough hook) and they sent me a brand new bread maker! In the interim not expecting them to send me a free dough hook, I bought one on Amazon. The replacement part works perfectly so I now have two machines. It's my first bread maker and I am very pleased with the price and subsequent loaves I have made in it.
I just bought a bread maker from Aldi on clearance for $25. The newer machine is a bit different. For one, it has a smaller lid over the main one where there’s a compartment for nut/ add-ins to go and they’re automatically added in at the right time. There’s no gluten free recipe (guess they figured out it was bad 😂) and there’s no chart for program times, which would be so helpful! It has 19 modes, a couple are different than yours. Same settings for color and weight. It says the pan and paddle are dishwasher safe. I made GF banana bread. If I knew how to manually add time that would have been helpful. (My first experience with a bread machine). It was still raw in the middle. I transferred it into a baking dish and finished it in the oven. The machine didn’t budge while mixing. Honestly I don’t know how often I’ll use this but I’ve always wanted one and at $25 I couldn’t resist! I’ll be doing some research and experimentation. Thanks for the GF bread recipe!
That’s a steal. I ended up boxing up our $300 maker and using the Aldi one full time. I just like the way the crust comes out golden with the Gluten Free recipes
@@TheglutenfreehomecookJust unboxed mine (after 5 months). My gluten-free bread came out… and went right into the trash. I tried the one in the book and used corn flour (as opposed to the oat flour). May I ask what recipe you used? So disappointed.
I just recently purchased this Aldi Ambiano bread maker. I made my first batch yesterday of whole wheat bread. I did screw up when adding the ingredients. I forgot to add the oil until after I had added all the dry ingredients. I gently added the oil around the edges of the bowl. The bread came out fine. It seems very moist. It tastes fine. Can't wait to see how the next batch turns out when I add all the ingredients in their proper order. ;-)
That's the best-looking loaf of gluten-free bread I've ever seen. I had a bread machine once & gave it away. My kitchen has no space. I mostly used it for mixing/ kneading. The loaves were too small & compact. I experimented and took the dough & baked it in a regular size bread pan in the oven. You get a beautiful loaf of bread that no one needs knows the bread machine did all the work!😊
The thing about the rise is very interesting. That's one of my biggest struggles with making bread without a bread machine. If my dough rises at all, it falls. So this is one of the problems I'm seeking to solve.
😊thanks for the review. As a european I struggle w the bread in USA.so much added sugar.I ve tried the ezekial bread...but its like eating sandpaper ! Off to Aldis...if it makes cakes too ...what s not to love!
First loaf was great but not enough raisins so I added more to the dispenser last time. Well, the second loaf has even less because when I opened it up it had baked and all the raisins were on top of it. Like the dispenser opened after it got done cooking. Debating whether to persevere but now I’m not so sure. My Ambiano is bigger than yours; it has a sloped front.
I've had 3 different bread makers and usually, unless there is a very sticky dough, I just wipe it out with a damp towel. If you do have to wash it, just a little soap and hot water and gently use sponge or plastic scrubber. Rinse and wipe dry, then replace in the machine; same with the paddle; (be sure to treat the paddle like the bowl, as it is also coated with the same non-stick coating).
I had a sunbeam bake house bread maker bought from a thrift store. It did well but I made a double batch once and it didn't like it so had to buy a new one. I ended up buying the new ambino bread maker today. Hopefully it does well. I'll be getting rid of my sunbeam if it does really well.
Hi David, when I saw you too had a Gluten Free Brick uh I mean loaf [ I had the same results using Ambiano recipe.] Used the link you provided it was very good. thanks for sharing it. Great job on the video.
I had a chance two days ago to buy this for $15!!!!!!! I didn't and I went back today to get it but yep it was gone. I'll probably buy the Elite Gourmet one. Looks alot like yours.
Oat flour really struggles with hydration, try replacing about 1/4 of your gluten free flour with oat flour in your favorite recipe and adding a little more water.. The taste of oat bread is amazing, it’s one of our favorites.
Excellent video. I saw the Ambiano Bread Maker at Aldi for $49.99 at Aldi which sounded cheap for a bread maker, so I wanted to see a review to find out if it was worth buying. The bread maker I saw on the Aldi website sneak peak ad, looks different than your bread maker. I am looking at the ad on August 28, 2024, which is about 11 months after you posted your video, so maybe it's a newer model.
I had the same question. His looks different than the one Aldi has advertised for upcoming next week. But I would like his recipe for gluten free bread.
I bought the one advertised last week. It's awesome. I've used it daily. First time using a breadmaker and it's really simple once the booklets are read and I've used 2 of the recipes in the book. The white bread and French bread.
@davidgatzen1543 I hope you're able to get one. The 2lb setting makes really tall white bread so the sandwiches definitely hold more in😊 the French bread is the same. I am going to try the 1 lb setting with the French bread next to see the difference. Today, I am trying the dough setting to make cinnamon rolls.
I was able to get one 50% off! Because it was the last one! Haven't used yet! Ill be my first time making bread. Im going to attempt to do sweet bread.
Okay, so I am REALLY stupid here, but I can't figure out how to set it for the first five minutes to remove the plastic smell! He skipped through this process in the video -- I am so not good at this, UGH!!! HELP!!
@@wileyp.i.4437 the model used in the video has an option number 15 which turns the oven on without waiting for the bread for proof. I would see if yours has an option just called “bake” and run it for 5 minutes or so until the smell is gone.
@@Jillyjogs there’s a new model that’s at several of my local Aldi for $50 and several people have posted on the Aldi Facebook groups their stores have started clearancing them to $25.

Is there a proof setting? Thats the only reason im hesitant on buying
There is a dough setting which I think would proof but I haven’t tried that yet. It also has a separate setting to just Knead.
