Transfagarasan Romania Scenic Drive 4K 🇷🇴 | Northern Part - Mountain Road (Best Road in the World)

💎The most beautiful road of my travel on a road trip in Romania, an enjoyable part of my Europe tours. The Transfagarasan is a spectacular twisting road through the Carpathian Mountains in Romania, and thanks to Top Gear, is one of Romania’s most popular destinations. This spectacular mountain pass, Romania’s second-highest paved mountain route, is a real treat for drivers as it passes dramatic forested mountains, alpine lakes, and historic castles, connecting north with south. It’s no surprise that Jeremy Clarkson (the famous Top Gear presenter) pronounced it “the best road in the world.” 🚘🏔️
💎This road trip takes place on the Northern side of Transfagarasan Highway close to Fagaraş Mountain top and Cartişoara. That part of the winding road is famous for its' breathtaking mountain peak views, Balea Lake and lots of thrilling hairpin turns. There is poor visibility after reaching to the mountain top due to heavy rain and fog. Still, there are many picturesque views during my driving tour. Drivers of this route mainly consist of tourists, bikers, and adventurers. Because Transfagarasan is meant for only scenic driving, not for going somewhere... 🐴🌳

and sad news, if you have never driven/ridden this road, that opportunity may be over, it has been reported that one of the old bridges collapsed recently... bummer...

Oh no, that's really unfortunate! I am sure, they will rebuild it for the new season...

@@RelaxingRoads4K it looked bad, bridge right before a tunnel. Could not pinpoint where. I hope they do too and now really wished I had ridden it this summer when I was close!

oh, it is a bummer. Where did You get that info? if it's true then hopefully it will be rebuilt soon. But we have some news, we made a full laserscan with accuracy of less than 1cm of almost 98km of the road in August 2023. We will use it for creating a virtual laserscanned Transfagarasan for Assetto Corsa simulation and also some other sims soon.
