I’m a fan of this new breed of moombas I demoed a 2021 moomba craz and fell in love we brought 600lbs of lead and had about 800-1000 lbs of people and I was very impressed with everything about the boat
What a GREAT video! I have a 2020 Moomba Helix, very similar to the Mondo with the same 20.5 length and 102 beam. We too added 500lbs of leadwake, and despite the helix only has 2100 stock ballast it still has stellar surf wave and incredible wakeboard wave. Thank you Wake9 for another great Moomba review.

You’ve gotta get the rear locker 1030s. Big difference and you can use the old bags too. Love our Helix, though wish our boathouse would fit a longer boat.
well with this mondo, it needed more weight forward to get the best wave IMO.
@@wake9tv definitely does - I have the factory bags full in the bow (maybe 800lbs) with a lead midship to get roll needed at 100% all around in bags. Your using lead to get right pitch and roll was life changing for us - Thanks!

I’m looking to go from a 20’ regal to a surf boat. This looks like a very good option
We have a 20 Vtx and it actually surfs well stock and is comparable to multiple 21 and 22 foot surf boats I have surfed behind. I think it is the power wedge that makes that difference and allows a pretty decent ski wake and a great surf wave.

Did you know the supreme zs212 also has a 102inch beam and it has 4400pounds of ballast just wanted to let you know love the video really good at explaining everything
Yes, but that is a 21 foot boat would compare to the Kaiyen.
We are between the kaiyan and mojo. Price wise, seems like the mojo is not too far off. Worth it to jump up to the 23ft mojo? Seems like wave will be better/more potential...

Thanks for the video! What was your average fuel burn during the surf session?
I didn't spend enough time with this boat to measure, I would guess with the 400 engine, between 4-5GPH.

I’d like to see this and a supreme ZS212 go head to head. There’s no replacement for displacement.
So that is a 21 foot boat, so that would need to go head to head with the moomba kaiyen, which has a bit better wake IMO than the mondo. So you would have to do the Kaiyen vs ZS212, that would be fun.
