Not even a Brewers fan.. Born and raised 15 min north of Yankee Stadium and a Diehard Yankee fan, but Iove Bob Uecker. His dead pan humor is second to none. When I would have a bad day, I would play his clips of his funniest moments and it would cheer me up greatly. Got me through the darkest of times. I refuse to use past tense. His legacy will live on forever. There will never be another! What a career!! What a life! Goodbye Mr..Baseball!!😢😢
His brand of midwestern hoke was so well delivered that even big city folks loved the guy,..he was incredibly funny with the dryness of his wit, of his 14 MLB career home runs, one was off Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax,..for a few years before Koufax was inducted into Cooperstown, Uecker would rib him anytime their paths crossed, Ueck would say to Koufax “gee I hope that home run I hit off you doesn’t keep you out of the Hall of Fame”!!! Uecker was an all American classic,…Rest in Peace Mr. Baseball ⚾️
He had pretty good energy earlier in the game but you have to remember the brewers led 2-0 in the 9th and the Mets only had 2 hits to that point It looked like Milwaukee was going to win the game and the series Then the closer gave up 4 runs and only got 2 outs Uke, and all Brewers fans, were stunned Add to that he knew he had cancer…..
@@tylerjerabek5204 thank you. This is what happens when non-baseball fans make stupid comments on eulogies, and have no clue what the context of that call was. Bob was fighting back tears, like all fans were.
Thanks for everything Bob. We already miss you!
Bob Uecker, Vinn Scully, Ernie Harwell. Good ones you invited into your life on the radio every Spring. No more. RIP
Let’s also not forget Dave Niehaus.

I don't live in Milwaukee but I read Catcher in the Wry. He was one of a kind. RIP Mr. Baseball.

He knew that was his last call
He's still making calls from "the front" of the ultimate pressbox.
Thanks for the memories Mr ⚾ RIP

I wasn't aware he sounded that bad at the end of this past season. It was long past time to retire from how that sounded.

He was upset the Brewers lost. He was emotional. You had to be at that game. All Brew Crew'ers including Bob wanted to cry. It was a huge loss.

Ueck showed up when he wanted to
Uecker never missed a beat ever!
