Im in my 30s and play guitar and making music since my childhood, i still dont understand how they make this soundtrack with that technology. Masterpiece.
The Epilogue at 22:54 is wonderful. In this scene in the game the hero and heroine both gazed at sunset and talk about philosophical things like why do people kill each other and hunger for power. For me, this is one of my memorable ending. Good work by devs and creative art.

That's the beauty of that era. The limitation, combined with the newness of the actual tech, lead to compositions that just haven't yet been matched. It was an amazing time to be grow up.

Played this for the first time tonight. Got to Level 5. Music at 15:44 was what motivated me to finish Level 4 on my first sitting. Best track in the whole NES trilogy.
MrRobosquad specially the ending synth. It leaves me nostalgic. After I finished the game years ago this song was still in my head for all these years.
Lava Tunnels might be my favorite song in the series. When I was learning the game, I had no issue starting from Act 1 knowing I'd get to run through the lava tunnels again!

NG III was the first one of the series I ever owned. Ended up finishing it. Got real show-offy later and beat it in exactly 30 minutes one time. I didn't find I or II until almost a decade later!
As a player I got really excited the first time I heard 15:44, especially for the drum. When later paying more attentions to the intermediate/closing plays, I immediately noticed that 19:59 and 24:35 were as good, with fantastic counterpoint for midi.

Love all of the NES Ninja Gaiden soundtracks for different reasons. This one definitely felt futuristic, but also has some older (at the time) influences, to me at least.
02:15 and 15:44 are so intense and badass. I used to hate 05:27 because I struggled a lot at 7-2 when I was a kid, but it later grew on me. 10:26 is also pretty good.

The Ninja Gaiden games on the NES all had great music. Tecmos sound for the NES was badass. Crisp breakin beats.
