When I was @ 3 or 4 years old (I am 70 now) on bath night my mom used to start my bath water running slowly and leave me in the bathroom (with the door open) while the water slowly warmed up and filled the tub. I would drape a towel over my head like a cloak and felt like it gave me magical power so no one could see me. I remember the tingles I got even at that early age. Sometimes I would sit on the linen closet floor with the door open on a crack and watch the tub slowly fill and just feel so warm and secure surrounded by this awesome sound. Your recordings have soothed and warmed me again and again and it’s wonderful to know that so many others feel the same. Thanks.
My bedroom as a kid was opposite the bathroom door on the landing. Whenever someone took a bath I would go and lay down on the landing carpet outside the door and feel the warmth of the pipes through the floor as I lay there. Listening to the sound of the bath filling and wishing the sound to never end. Chills on my body but the warmth from the carpet heated by the water pipes. I never forget those times and it still stay with me today.
I commented something more than 3 years ago about how much I watch this and here I still am, 20 years old. I’ve been listening to this exact video for around 6 years now. As I get older, especially because I am truly entering the real world now, I think back to the days I was very young and sitting outside the bathroom door as my mom bathed my younger brother just so I could here this sound. I still use it this day as a sleep aid, but more importantly I put this on when I’m grinding out an essay or project. This sound never gets old to me and is truly my favourite for any need of relaxation.
To this day I’m not completely sure what it was but whenever someone in my house ran a bath the sound created by the water going through the pipes was the most relaxing sound I ever heard. I still remember as a kid being woken up at around 6am by someone filling up the bath and immediately getting goosebumps because of it. These videos are probably the closest I’ll get to hearing that sound again so for that I’m forever grateful.
I love listening to this video and reading everyone's comments. Such great stories and descriptions of how each person curled up and enjoyed the sounds of running a bath. It is a comforting and safe feeling. I hope all of you get that feeling from this great video, I know I sure do.
Thank you for the nice comment. It made my morning. Such wonderful memories and helps knowing others experienced this as well. By the tub was my refuge. I felt so safe and alone (in a good way).
This sound transports me back to my childhood, snuggled in bed, safe, warm and cozy. The youngest of 5 siblings, I would be lulled to sleep as each of the big kids ran a bath before bed. Listening to the water gently muffled by the door gives me wave after shivery wave of hapiness. I listen to this and it not only helps me fall asleep quickly, but it also instantly puts me into a deep state of relaxation and calm. Thank you for this, it's my favorite one by far!
@@kristenhickman4466 but same I’m to fat for it now but I used to sit in a towel and just sit there and fall asleep while I got goosebumps and a tingle down my spine

yes yes, this one also reminds me of a child in the next room tucked in bed with the covers over my head listening to this. It's a very comforting feeling. As I listen to this now I instantly feel a sense of peace come over me. Thank you so very much for posting these.
***** I thought I was the only one that did that with the covers over my head! It's as if we were creating a cosy little cocoon under there or something! Glad to hear there are others out there who love this sound as much as I do.
+SereneandPeaceful I used to hide behind the shower curtains when my parents showered or ran me a bath and listen to the sound of the water, ever since i can't get enough of this sound, it just calms me right down.
I used to do the same thing. I remember we were staying at a friends house on holiday, as a kid, and the bed was right up against the bathroom wall. I never forget covering myself in the duvet and listening to the bath water. Ever since I've been hooked on the sound.
It's funny how we all have similar experiences with bath sounds! Mine was laying on the landing upstairs outside the bathroom while my mum ran the bath, it was always warm because our heating pipes go under the floor near the door. Even now at 22 I take my pillow in with me sometimes and just lay on the floor!! Weird how a bath noise has so much memory.
So true....pillow and blanket in the dark hallway, with just enough light coming out underneath the door...and I’ll take bath running or the shower! The best soothing sound is any water running...
It's quite funny, as a young child, I thought I was the only weirdo who liked listening to showers. Figured out a few years ago how wrong I was. The two most relaxing things are the sound of a shower and a storm(Heavy Rain & Wind, Crackling Thunder, and Flashy Lightning.....I love the whole thing.)
Every morning of my youth my sister would beat me to the bathroom for first shower or bath. I would end up laying on the floor wrapped in a blanket sleeping waiting for my turn. 30 years later, the sound of the tub or shower running behind a closed door instantly makes me sleepy.
This reminds me of my childhood. The room i had was right next to the washroom, and everynight my brothers and sisters would take showers and i would fall asleep to the noises.
Great video! When I was a kid late at night when someone was taking a shower I would lay in front of the door on the ground and just listen to the water run until they got out.
I always thought I was the only one in love with this sound! So glad I found this video. My room was always next to the bathroom aswell and as a little kid, just laying in bed with your head covered and against the wall is just the best sound ever! Sometimes I would even go into the bathroom with the person taking the shower/bath and just cover myself in towels and just listen on the warm tiles of the bathroom floor.
When I was a child, I use to sit near the tube while it was filling. I use to wait until my hands were splashed with the drops and I waited until my body was full of goosebumps. Then, I’ve covered me with my blanket. I use to love this sensation!!! Still do it!!! Sorry about my english...
@BathtubLovingGuy Sometimes, I wish someone in my family shared this feeling, but they didn't. Now I do it with my daughter and my dachshund Coco!!!God bless you!!!👩👧🐶🙌🏻
I used to be tired in the morning for school and would take a bath in the morning, so while my mom was either fixing her coffee or getting my school clothes ready for me and I would always get a towel and cover up on the floor beside the bath while it was running. Then I would fall asleep and be woken up by my mom telling me to wake up and get in the bath.
Zachary woodward growing up I lived in an old house that didn't have a shower so every night I was able to fall asleep to running bath water since my room was right next to the bathroom. I miss those days lol
i still do cus the sound in real life is slightly better but this video is amazing like it’s the best video i’ve ever gotten that’s most similar to the sound
Hi,Thanks for this one:) I found that if I put this on with my head phones while I'm riding my exercise bike it puts me into a Zen-like state and the time just flies by:) Thanks so much!
years ago i recorded the bath as it filled, chopped it looped and EQed so it would be just like this and i could listen on the bus or anytime. so glad im not alone
I found this video back in late 2015/early 2016. Looking back on how long it’s been since I found this video I kid you not I have probably listened to it while going to bed over 400 times. Holy shit that sounds weird, but it may be true.
LOVE this! When I was a little girl, my daddy would come home very late from the family restaurant/bar and I'd hear him run a bath (he hated secondhand smoke on his skin, back when all places allowed smoking). It would always soothe me to know that he was safely home and the bath water sound (like this) was so relaxing. I wish he was still alive to tell him about that and this video. I know this is getting fancy, but....have you thought about adding a shorter one like this, where the water shuts off and we can hear the movements of a person in the water? It would mainly be the sound the bathwater makes as the body moves within the tub as a person washes...with water wringing from a washcloth? That was the sound that followed my father's bath filling. Then there was the draining sound. :)
Until 4 years ago when i was 13 i always loved running the faucet while having my eyes closed. It made me forget about everything else that bothered me and it was like i was living in my own special world where i could relax and feel free of any disturbances. We all care mostly about everyday problems, but if we could just take a break to relax then we would understand how tiny and insignificant these problems are.

I remember that sometimes I would lay down against the wall in my room that was against the bathroom and listen to the sound of shower running. The wall so happened to be where my door was so me curled up in a blanket falling asleep was not the best thing as someone opening the door onto my sleeping body to check on me kinda hurt. Still did it though, the sound of water running like that is like a moth to a flame for me.
Oh My Fawking God. You are a Genius. I have always wanted this. and now it is here. so thank you for uploading this much appreciated. I am going to sleep like a baby tonight. OMG. I'm so excited to sleep now.
this really is one of the best ASMR videos I've come across. this is one of the most relaxing sounds ever. the last few nights I've had the best sleep I've had in ages and its thanks to this video
+Dan Harris - Thanks Dan, glad the video has helped you get some better sleep, that's why I uploaded these videos. I think I need to create some new ones soon, maybe a longer version of this!
Dan Harris Hi there, I am actually an approved driving instructor and I have wanted to post an ASMR driving lesson video starting with the very first lesson and if it becomes popular then I will actually post an ASMR on all lessons covering all topics right up to test standard! Do you think this would be something folk would like? 😊
SoundsToBlowYourMind yea definitely was thinking making it as real as possible so that your mind is taking it in as well as relaxing so your learning the subconscious as you relax (if that makes sense) lol
Thanks William, glad you enjoyed the videos. If you felt head tingles from the other videos on my channel, you probably experience a thing called ASMR. Look it up, there are thousands of other ASMR videos on RUclips that you might enjoy as well.
I don't feel them all the time yet when I do it's in my arms and neck mostly? Is this ASMR? It comes on kinda random and to be honest it's only with the bath and shower stuff and even if I'm not getting tingles I still just love it. Perhaps I just like that noise? Not sure but as far as your bath and shower running vids go you're (literally) a life saver. I've got medical shit and bad anxiety and this puts me to sleep/calms me down all the time :) Thank you!

The beginning where you close the door gives me the most tingles I've ever experienced. Just the way the sound changes from clear to slightly muffled is amazing. I keep replaying it lol thank you for uploading this (:
You are welcome! When you say "tingles" do you mean ASMR tingles (in your head / scalp) or is it more like "frisson" which means chills / goosebumps / shivers up and down your spine ? You have also given me an idea for a new video!
SoundsToBlowYourMind Both kinds actually. It starts in my head and then my whole body gets chills. A new video sounds exciting! I shall look forward to it (:
This is the best sound ever, only followed by sleeping in a tub with running water with a deep sea diving kit I mean I've never done that second one but close enough
Please can you do some more! I love all your bath water sounds they are amazing. I feel so relaxed when I listen to them and they help me sleep, I listen to this one when I’m in the 🛀🏼
Yes! Always listen on the bathroom floor, with real water running, with the OTHER real water fountain AND recording of Bath Sounds! It really reverberates, I get chills and can trance-out.
This is where i started, one night i couldn't sleep and i used to listen to bath sounds as a child. so i searched this up, then i found an ASMR vid in my suggestions. and now i can sleep again :)
Casper Bird I was about to say sadly you can't do that when using mobile devices but now I'm thinking maybe you can make a playlist and only add this video because I'm pretty sure there is a loop option on playlists
Years ago, there was that webpage called My strange addiction/addicted to the sound of running water. I might be wrong but I think some comments here were there too. Does anyone else remember that page? Anyway it was a very cool "blog" to read and it would be nice to have it back.
OMG! I thought I was the only strange kid that would turn on the bath water (whirlpool, washing machine) close my eyes, put my ear against the rumbling porcelain, then float away on a gurgling brook. I’d get this delicious tingling all over my skin but my mind stayed safe in a warm blanket.
i always feel the exact same way. after the research i did i believe this sound reminds us of being in the womb with our mothers. obviously that sounds hard to remember that long ago but thats what the research i read told me lol
I've always wondered if there's an evolutionary explanation for this. I heard somewhere that staying close to a running stream of water can make it harder for animals to follow your scent. I wonder if our ancestors were evolved to relax/sleep near rivers/waterfalls for this reason. Just a thought.
Both maybe! :) " Evolutionary Psychology: Species evolving around water Developmental Psychology: Prenatal development in womb Sensory and Perception Psychology: White noise account Behaviorism, specifically classical conditioning: We develop a learnt association between the sound of water and relaxation. "
You have THE BEST sounds for sleeping. I've subscribed to both your accounts. I have anti-ASMR, if that's a thing. Like nails on a chalkboard. But like so many others, the sound of a bath filling behind the door reminds me of calm times as a kid -- my room was always across the hall from the bath. I think the door filters out the worst of the high-pitched noise. The best time ever was when we had some dire plumbing problem (IDK what, I was like 10) and the guy had to come out at 10 PM and water had to be running. No idea when the plumber left b/c I fell asleep right away, which was and still is unlike me. This is way better than the cheap mono version I recorded when I got my first old clunky cassette recorder in the 70s. Yay for the future.
I'd like this one with the door shut all the time. For some reason the beginning with the door open gives me a gritted teeth kind of reaction, but once the door is closed, my brain goes "ahhh" and all the noise in my head shuts off and I start feeling drowsy. (Also the first part with the door open makes me need to pee 😓)
One of the best ASMR videos ive heard you have Credit for this! This is Amazing relaxing enjoying this so much im lissening to this even when walking the dog! A big thumbs up! And im going to spam the link on other channels people need to hear this! Now its time for me to sleep tho Gn and thanks for this Amazing sound! ^__-
+Collette Marie I have just created a new play list called "Just Bath Sounds" which has this video, plus the two hour bath filling video. If you go to my channel page and find the play list, you should be able to set it to "play all" and switch on the "repeat playlist" function, so it will play both videos over and over until you want it to stop! ;-)
Whenever a bath was run I'd lay down a towel next to the tub, fold another towel as a pillow, then lay down and cover myself with a third towel, pretend I was in a cave, all safe and sound, press my ear up against the bath, while blocking my other ear off, and feel the sound of the running water reverberate through my body, sometimes peak through the small patch of light near my feet, like the entrance to a cave far away, sometimes rest my arm out on the cold tiles on the floor or the side of the bath, I await the one who has done the same...
sometimes i'd lie down without a towel below me...on the freezing cold tiles, but have a towel draped over my whole body, right next to the tub, while the hot water filled up, and splashed its tiny droplets over ...the amazing asmr/frission/chill up my spine was amazing. its 10pm in Melbourne Australia, im just about to go into my en suite and have a hot shower in the dark, with a faint light from my bed side lamp minutely shining in.
When I was @ 3 or 4 years old (I am 70 now) on bath night my mom used to start my bath water running slowly and leave me in the bathroom (with the door open) while the water slowly warmed up and filled the tub. +Dan Harris - Thanks Dan, glad the video has helped you get some better sleep, that's why I uploaded these videos. I think I need to create some new ones soon, maybe a longer version of this!
I second this.
Go for it Snowball! Are you going to film that inside your car ?
SoundsToBlowYourMind
SoundsToBlowYourMind hal love you

Hunter Paige the is so nice
SoundsToBlowYourMind I get both of those when I listen. It almost sends me into a trance. I swear it does.
This is the best sound ever, only followed by sleeping in a tub with running water with a deep sea diving kit
I mean I've never done that second one but close enough
Chevo I have. It is pretty claustrophobic at first, but keep deep breathing with a scuba mask. It can be extremely enlightening.
Please can you do some more! I love all your bath water sounds they are amazing.
I feel so relaxed when I listen to them and they help me sleep, I listen to this one when I’m in the 🛀🏼
Ashleigh Higgins you have just opened up my eyes. I never even considered listening while in the bath. I'm definitely going to try that soon!
Hunter Paige I love listening to it in the bath helps me relax more specially with just candles on
Ashleigh Higgins I tried it and it is sooo relaxing. I didn't have any candles so I used my scentsy thing. 10/10 didn't want to ever get out lol
Hunter Paige amazing isn’t it 🤩
TheReal Dovahkiin169 Awesome, glad the video is helping you sleep!
i enjoy this sooooo much!
thx a lot!
i just got a shower!
but this is awsome!
This was awesome thanks man
oh wow this is so so nice. thank you!
abby lovelace Your so nice...hah owned
my son has colic and this has helped him to relax
my mum and dad would take showers for work, and my bed is right behind the wall that has the shower so id just lay in bed while listening to it.
emily same here
I would love a longer version of this :)
I agree!!
+SirEdventure im sure someone could loop it? That would be great ^^
I have always wondered why youtube doesnt have a repeat option you can turn on
EnglishPeanut posted this. Right click on the video and then click loop
Casper Bird I was about to say sadly you can't do that when using mobile devices but now I'm thinking maybe you can make a playlist and only add this video because I'm pretty sure there is a loop option on playlists
This is the one for me works every time cheers !!
this is amazing, you have the perfect sounding bath!
Thanks for the vid man really helps with sleep and anxiety!
Reminds me of last year when I'd fall asleep on the wood floor outside the bathroom while my mom ran a bath
Years ago, there was that webpage called My strange addiction/addicted to the sound of running water. I might be wrong but I think some comments here were there too. Does anyone else remember that page? Anyway it was a very cool "blog" to read and it would be nice to have it back.
I hadn't heard of that site. Was running water the only thing on there, or were there other strange addictions ?
I remember that page. I used to love reading it.
Great sound! Love it. It reminds me when I was kid on Sunday nights and the bath time before going to bed or diner.
The acoustics on this recording are very good and soothing. Great job on this!!!
This is absolutely wonderful! Thank you for this video!!!
I am 😁
OMG! I thought I was the only strange kid that would turn on the bath water (whirlpool, washing machine) close my eyes, put my ear against the rumbling porcelain, then float away on a gurgling brook. I’d get this delicious tingling all over my skin but my mind stayed safe in a warm blanket.
I may b repeating myself, but are u aware of any studies made on the impact of water, running, in tubs, nature, etc on people’s relaxation?
You are not alone.....there's lots of us out here that feel like you do.
i always feel the exact same way. after the research i did i believe this sound reminds us of being in the womb with our mothers. obviously that sounds hard to remember that long ago but thats what the research i read told me lol
@@CHASEMCLEAN I feel like it’s deeper, more spiritual than, “it’s the womb”, somehow more than anyones’ guess.
Ahhh
Those tingles
I listen to this one and other videos every night! I want another one of these from the hall but with the door open😂 I’m difficult
There's already a video like this one with the door open on this channel 👌
@@ee-cam thank you! I will look harder for it
I've always wondered if there's an evolutionary explanation for this. I heard somewhere that staying close to a running stream of water can make it harder for animals to follow your scent. I wonder if our ancestors were evolved to relax/sleep near rivers/waterfalls for this reason. Just a thought.
Wrigggy not really. I think it comes from the time we are in the womb.
Both maybe! :)
" Evolutionary Psychology: Species evolving around water
Developmental Psychology: Prenatal development in womb
Sensory and Perception Psychology: White noise account
Behaviorism, specifically classical conditioning: We develop a learnt association between the sound of water and relaxation. "
I wish I could download this on to my phone so when I'm on a train I can just plug in my head phones and relax is their a way to download this???
Ahh,so relaxing.
I remember the Times is layer outside the door of the bathroom when someone was taking a shower........good times😴
Julissa Ellis me too.....loved doing that back in the day....very soothing and comforting!!
This is wonderful. You're very good at what you do. I especially liked your SK video, which is my favorite version. :)
Thanks!
I use this everyday for my kids
That's awesome Maria! Glad you found the video useful!
Peace! Thanks for the calming music!☯❤☮★△
Thank you for this video
Romans 10:9 = Eternal life++
Can you do one from the same viewpoint but catch the faucet turning on?
Been using this on & off for 4 years now... such bliss. Thank you
Unable to loop on iPhone and iPad. Please upload an 8 hour version! PLEASE
Make a playlist with this video multiple times, so it will keep playing. That's what I did. @Abov3TheClouds
Sally Smith (: two words for u +1 subscribe
epic!! so relaxed zzzz
is there any way I can loop this for like 8 hours.
You don't even know how happy this has made me.
Right click on the video then click loop. Enjoy my friend
I didn't know you could do that, thanks for the tip! That will save me from making an 8 hour long version which would be a pain to render and upload!
wow you should put that in the video description so people know
Mr. Shane Nepz ii
Thanks Gandalf! Glad you enjoyed! Maybe if you send the link to Saruman, he will chill out a little bit ;-)
That's take me away when i was a kid
2023 , amazing
You should loop this!
Collette Marie it is looped, otherwise wouldn't the tub overflow since its going for *ONE HOUR*. I mean that must be one huge ass tub
I know I want it longer
+Collette Marie I have just created a new play list called "Just Bath Sounds" which has this video, plus the two hour bath filling video. If you go to my channel page and find the play list, you should be able to set it to "play all" and switch on the "repeat playlist" function, so it will play both videos over and over until you want it to stop! ;-)
yay!!!
love it.
Asmr. Very fancy door. Washing machine sound... i think theyre rich
January 20 2019 and I am still listening.
January 22 2020 and I am still listening.
January 21 2021 and I am still listening.
July 30 and I am still listening
when the door doesnt have a handle 😂😂
Were you just in the bathroom the whole time?
Is there a way to loop this while using a mobile phone? Thanks
I can hear a very distant sound of a woman singing with headphones. Strange.
