So far the Cares Act has been signed into law by President Trump, the House of Representatives and the Senate. Congress proposed the stimulus checks and stimulus packages in March.
We are now waiting on the Hero’s Act to pass so we will know whether stimulus money will be paid to the American people. We are waiting to see if essential workers will be paid hero’s pay or essential workers pay. We are waiting to hear on federal unemployment, back to work bonuses and PUA weekly income for unemployed people.

I know a lot of people are unhappy and unsatisfied and hurt by this news of us getting screwed again. But I hope all the negativity is aimed at the gov't and not at Stephen. Did you claim her on your 2019 tax return? If she wasn't claimed as a dependent than she can get the stimulus. May just came later in year after she files a tax return if applies or by filling out a non filers through IRS website when it opens up.

$1,200 back when Covid was barely a problem.
$600 several months later when Covid, and the problems it's caused, became a thousand times worse.
However, it's better than the nothing we've gotten during the past several months. I shouldn't have said "The nothing". They did give all of us something almost every day, every single month throughout this entire stimulus saga. They gave us daily frustration.

$600 is like a slap in the face! seriously.... living 8 months on $1200 & now its $600? NO economy is not going to get better soon!
What's even worse is they gave $1200 because they thought people needed that for the economy being shut down for just 14 days! That come out to $85 a day and roughly $15/hr (40hrs/week). That was in the beginning of April, so we've had roughly 36 weeks since then and now only getting $600 which comes out to $16/day or a measly $0.42/hr.
Why waste time waiting for these inconsiderate set of leaders we have when you can just apply for relief funds from RFUSA and receive upto $4000 as relief funds.

$600. They need to pay us back pay for the months they missed so we can get caught up. The expenses didn't stop during the months they missed.
They aren't I was really hoping for that also. I have been living on 1/3 of what my normal pay was since September 05. I had to file a new unemployment claim because my year was up and my unemployment dropped another 100 a week due to the loss in income for the last 3 quarters of 2020. So even with the 300 added to what I will be getting now i'll be at 50% of my normal wage. My job will not come back until the vaccines distribution is over due to the fact that I work in live entertainment. So hopefully by MARCH!!!! But the experts are saying no big shows until fall.

@@monmixer My Daughter is in the same boat as you with unemployment! She didn't get the extra money every week this last time when President Trump reinstated it, after the time limit was up! Because her work didn't close down because of covid this last time, they closed because they had to file bankruptcy! She works as a x-ray tech at a pain clinic! She was off for months and months because of the covid shut down! Even though she works in the medical field, she's considered non-essential! Then she finally got called back to work for 5 weeks! She waa so happy! Then one day everyone got a letter saying this would be their last day, because they had to file bankruptcy! She worked there for 19 years! So when she had to go back on unemployment because they were closing down for good, she didn't qualify for the extra funds because it wasn't covid related! She's doesn't like to be off of work, even if she is getting some money for staying home! But being on unemployment, she's losing between $800.00 and $1200.00 a month not working, depending on how many hours she worked! I pray she gets a job with decent wages soon!

Hi have you gotten your $10k relief check yet? I heard there's a government organization that's giving out relief funds and it is only applicable to citizens in the US. You could try applying for it.
I recently got the rental assistance. They paid 3 months of rent, water/sewage, and utilities directly to my landlord. That was such a blessing and a huge weight off my shoulders! I encourage all renters who need help to contact their local community action office. This is usually the office that does HEAP and PIP for you! Merry Christmas and God Bless!

the behind rent goes to the landlord not to renter . directly to them my friend said umi should be grateful I'm getting anything at all then she tells me she got several thousand in back regarding the rent . but she didn't get stimulas, cuz she had well over 75 000

I pay about 1200 a month in my daughter basic bills, and that not counting any of her school expenses. I never spent that amount on her when she was in grade school, just saying. College kids need money too!
Boggles my mind that people think a dependent should get a check. A dependent means someone claims them on a tax return and financially supports them. So then why should a dependent get a check ?
The fact that we kept hearing $1,200 for so many months. And $600 or $400 unemployment retroactive from July to September. Now to give people $600. And 11 weeks of $300 non retroactive is a slap in the face. It's just disturbing and it's a shame. This is a black mark on the face of the American government forever. They basically just left the American people drowning for 9 months and didn't give them any help. People have nine months worth of bills that most of them cannot pay. And if somebody is about to lose their place & they're given an extra month of a moratorium on eviction. That's just adding more money on top of it. The average person is $5,700 behind in rent. So somebody please tell me what $600 is going to do? That is a drop in the bucket!! We can do so much better than that!! I'm embarrassed for the U.S. right now!!!

Many of us had our hours cut at some point or even multiple times, and have often had to loan or give money to desperate loved ones because they were unemployed or in a similar situation...it’s just absolute hypocritical stinginess. They have endless funds for bailing out corporations or banks or cutting taxes for the wealthy who don’t freaking need it - but when people NEED money to get by, to pay for a roof over their heads, to EAT - I swear Republicans are the most a$$ backwards and the more someone needs help the more they clutch their chest in horror and turn their backs away in disgust. My mother died last night in her sleep, my family is torn apart over it. We may lose our house we may lose most of what we own and 600$ is not enough. Its sad they fought over this for 9 months and people are dying over this. Thank you for the update as always. Im hoping this all works out i have so many bills i have to pay.

If he lived with you and kept the age of 17 for more than 6 months of this year then you were the supporting financial parent for most of the year (6 months or longer ). It’s like getting married on December 31, last day of the year. To the IRS you were married 12 months. Check with the IRS by calling and asking an agent.

Even if they pass this I will still not qualified, thank god so far financially husband and I er been great. He still have a job and full hours, also I am a grad couponer we haven’t had the need to buy nothing aside from food every two weeks. We been healthy and I just pray for everyone else, this is truly a slap on the face for those who lost their jobs and are running out of unemployment benefits.
