Another technique that's good for one shots is to take a part from the middle and set a loop region/loop points. It differs on the DAW, but if you set it up right you can hold down one shot samples for a much longer time than their length.
I've done that with ableton's Sampler, but in addition, you have an envelope or LFO which moves the start point of the loop forward. It adds more of a decay so it's not just statically ping-ponging the same bit over and over. Fun to do with a triangle LFO, or a waveshaping LFO to create swells and such.
tip1: OTT is great for this, though sometimes it's over the top (lmao) tip2: there's a fork called paulxstretch that's a plugin too! (and it has dark mode) tip3: use your sound as the impulse in a convolver, might help elongate!
Using delay with reverb could be another good technique for having sounds sound longer. Similarly, using straight up granular synthesis could make sounds sould longer. Although this technique might not retain the same sound. But rather, turn soumds into pads, drones, textures, and the like. By the way. Great video. This will definitely help a lot of people. It's one of the things i wish I new back when I was a beginner.
yo ive been messing with a technique i saw eliminate do with reverb wet automations, first i did the "sucking in" thingy ( add wet before hits/end of bars), and then i started messing with automating the wetness over the envelope of a sound and it gives some nice results
I’m pretty sure anybody who’s watched his streams goes “oh yeah. I forgot that reverb swells into snares and stuff are absolutely the sauce” also, did you know that fl’s reverb is called “reeverb” for some absolutely non existent reason. I’m constantly reminded every time my autocorrect reminds me that there is only one e after the r and that fl is just kind of quirky and zany. Some would say wacky. I would say reet-a professional audio work station used by professionals.
If you use the minimum values for grain size and flux with the texture warp mode you can get some pretty cool sounds. If you pitch a sound all the way to 48 semitones you get this cool bitcrushed sound.
I sometimes like to use a convolver. Maybe take a part of the sound that recurrs, or just straight up convolve it to itself or a processed version of the original sound. I don't have much experience, so it's just a thought
Honestly I think pre-elongated sounds have much more personality… like when they get too long they might hurt (the ears). I think average length is good for most people and something people should be happy with.
I'm an Ableton guy, but i have to say Pro Tools's elastic audio is way more accurate and creates a lot less artifacts when streching a sound, mind blowing isn't it 🤯
To be fair, this is targeted towards English-speaking audiences. Asking him to make the video longer at risk of the RUclips algorithm slapping him isn't reasonable

Tbh you could just load the sound into serum and then use the wave table if you wanna go that route. I haven't tried it though
this is the best thumbnail I have seen a while. thank you.

I want to say that the way you add the sound effects and how they look is such a gamechanger man. Definitely deserve more followers
Thanks man 🙂

ye bro reverb swells are awesome! try using an envelope follower for that technique to automatically match the envelope of the sound

Is making a pp waveform something we've all done? Cus I thought it was just me. (Context: was messing with producer friends)
Idk bro, but it's a must do if you want to be a serious producer! 😄
your context made this extra gay lol messing with your producer friends huh?
How to make it tho
@@Oversampled if you want to be a serious producer, get the NANI saturation plugin. Thank me later.
Incredible work !
Ableton = Hold Shift while the sample is in warp mode, and drag the right side of the sample to stretch.
Terrible way of doing it
My god, I've been trying to recreate a sound forever, and just listening to a lengthened sound sounded really similar to it. Thanks.
I feel 69x smarter after watching your videos
It can be a bit tedious but once doing it right, the results can be amezing.
Am very interested in high quality audio stretching algorithms😁
1. Compression
2. Paul Stretch
3. Reverb
4. Tail Layer
5. Feedback Loop
6. Boost and Limit
7. Warp
Vocalshifter is right there
I had a small sound, very small, after this it just got massive!
The best music production channel in the whole RUclips 🔥🔥
Peter Parker is back 😘😘
Love from India 💯❤️❤️
Love you bro ❤

If you want even longer PP sound try using OTT at 100%.
Oh yeah bro! And multiplying otts too
@@Oversampled and then you will also multiply your output of children!
Bruh I've been tryna figure this out for a whole year thank you so much
Glad I could help!
Manipulator plugin: smear fader is another cool way :)
IIRC, chucking a sound into Simpler and/or Sampler in Ableton gives you lots of lengthening options.
Thank you for helping us make "it" longer 😏
so useful tips
Looking at that waveform I wanna take this as an extra for the previous video ✌🏼
Thank you so much you are the genius
Cool video, but can you make carbonara?
I sometimes like to use a convolver. Maybe take a part of the sound that recurrs, or just straight up convolve it to itself or a processed version of the original sound.

sometimes for any type of dry vocals stretching in melodyne can help
Ok dude that's great content I came for
This is so much easier than jelking for weeks

More of these sound design videos
Neoverb... I have to remember using that, since I have it. Seems to make everyone's PP longer.
When will you make the midtempo?)
Honestly I think pre-elongated sounds have much more personality… like when they get too long they might hurt (the ears). I think average length is good for most people and something people should be happy with.
well what if you wanna use this to make chords but the sound is like a pluck??
Where did you get this serum skin? Did u make yourself? it looks amazing!

After one day i already see results
How much cm? 😏😂❤
@@Oversampled Now it's solid 20 cm, my gf says she enjoys it so much. Thanks for teaching me that.
@@synthsyndicate nice bro! 20 is huge and I'd say it's the perfect size, happy for you! ☺️

This is sarcasm right...?
It's not actually, i compared all DAWs in terms of audio streching and i gotta say PT wins by a lot actually
how did you used compressor without sound flat, did you used anything else to preserve the dynamics?
No, only the compressors that are on the video with the settings that are on the video. For me it sounds flat 🤷♂️
Those waveforms lollll
hey where is your accent from? it sounds familiar..
Hold the shift after warping the sample and you can extend out the sample.
I don't use ableton so idk what that means
@@RainaPCB What do you use?
@@Seuthra fl just switch to stretch and your set

Has anyone Purchased the "Pancz" plugin from oversampled? its not listed on his website. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP lol
I've stopped selling plugins, but I think they will return under a different company's name, look out for updates!
@@Oversampled thanks for the reply I hope they do! I really like the demo version

I used the one that's on the screen and it worked nice :)

if we can extend our... uhmmm with the same trick, I would be so nice
