Thank you so much for this!! I am studying for my third try -- took FSOT in 2011 and failed, 2012 and passed but failed the essays. Now I'm 33 with 13 years' experience abroad and I still want to devote myself to the foreign service as a consular officer as much as I did when I was in my twenties. I look forward to taking the exam again in Madrid.
Your work and life abroad should help. Practice your writing; it is the easiest and best thing to improve not only for the FSOT but also your Foreign Service career. Good luck!
@@kathrynbouchard6688 Hello! If you don't mind, can I have a copy or links of the resources you used to prepare and study for the FSOT? It would mean a lot! :)
Thank you, for your service to the United States as a Foreign Service Officer. As a college student enrolled in an undergrad degree for political science, with a minor in economics. I've already done an internship in a consulate for another country and it was great. I'm planning on doing other internships in this field as well. What else can I do to stand out from the pack who also apply apart from studying hard to pass the exam?
No, the Khan Academy course is neither affiliated nor geared for the FSOT. However, it is a good place to bone up on history, economics, writing, etc. Good luck

Improve your writing. The Department rates clear, fast, and succinct prose very highly both in the FSOT and the Foreign Service.
@christoskomsios2860 How did things go? Any updates…
Your tutorials are very helpful! Thank you! Can you provide the link for the Con/Kahn Academy? The site I found had no reference to FSOT.
