Thank you! You wrote exactly what I was thinking. In my opinion Angel Olsen and Emmet Kelly are just awesome in this performance (both are a Gods gift to Will Oldham's music).
I like how Will is always changing up the arrangements of his songs, even if it’s just a little bit. I think that’s how he’s been able to release so many albums of re-recordings of his older songs without making it sound like he’s run out of ideas or going for a cash grab. Although I have to admit, I Have Made a Place was a very welcome record after such a long string of tribute/cover albums and albums of re-arranged and re-recorded BPB songs. It was getting to the point where I didn’t think Will had any new songs in him anymore.
(cont) mic is going to pick-up highs a bit more than lows. This is a concert so the audio isn't mixed or mastered, but the quality of the recording is very good. A lead singer's vocals can be framed in diff ways, I prefer wood-grain, some people prefer paint.
I disagree, I think Angel's vocals are a great addition, the job of the supporting/back-up singer is to frame the lead singer's vocals in a way that compliments them- the back-up singer, if you call it that, should not always be extremely quiet. The song is timed in a way that the vocalists aren't singing over each other, most of Angel's vocals take place during a point where Will is holding a note, and even when they aren't, both singers are easy to distinguish. The issue is that a camcorder
I'm not sure what I'd do without this man and his music.
I'm not sure what to do with this man and his music.
I’ve never seen a guitar with a Hofner bass-style body before this.
Music as it should be played and song. No autotune no bullshit. One artist his instrument in his voice.

One of the finest around.

IMO he sounds 10x better live

@44selkie : non. Mais il ne s'est pas moqué de nous: 2h de concert, juste une toute petite pause avant le rappel.
👏👏👏👏👏👍
please... let it go please.
I made a sound upgrade video, but I'm unable to contact this user to ask if it's okay to share... :(
Top, avez vous la set-list de ce concert ?

But don't you think it's a duet ?
Surely that's why she's right up at the front of the stage ?
Anyone know what guitar that is? Same guitar as on the Telerama show, methinks, but no idea make or model...
Looks like McCartneys bass. ha
