Wow wow wow ,that was fkn superb, ive been meaning to watch this for weeks .thoroughly enjoyed it .
I met baz once at the stadium of light up here in Sunderland and just said hello , i always loved the stranglers and have seen them a few times .
Some great stories in this interview, love the fact baz is a massive neil young fan as I am too .
Love the picture on your wall , welcome home stokoes boys on the wearmouth bridge, I remember that, just after we won the f a cup against leeds .
But most amazingly I also had a soft spot for man city for exactly the same reasons as baz , Dave Watson, Dennis tuart and Micky horswill all moved from Sunderland to man city.
Haway baz , bring the stranglers to Sunderlands fire station venue for a couple of nights .
Great show smiley , very entertaining on this very quiet nightshift on hartlepool docks . All the best

They played a gig for me in Bournemouth around the same time. They were good mates. Such a shame

I was at that gig as I’m friends with Esther. I did the first gig for them on that tour. Took them for a curry beforehand and sat next to Baz. I didn’t know him very well before that, but he soon had me chatting away and crying with laughter. A lovely, friendly, down-to-earth guy. The sort of person you want to have a beer with, not because he’s the singer/guitarist in the best band in the world, but because he’s so likeable and such good fun.
