Not trying to be a hater or anything like that. But it does make me feel some type of way when people buy a shoe for the hype instead of buying it because they actually care about it or care about the story or even know the story behind the shoe. If you don’t know why the shoe is made the way it was made...if you don’t know what its called, if you don’t know why certain details are there, if you don’t know the story behind it; don’t get the shoe. Some People that actually are Spider-Man fans that want the shoe dont get it because people that don’t know jack about Spider-Man or the story behind the shoe entered raffles and stuff just because it’s a jordan and because it has hype. Smh. Don’t get shoes just to get shoes. Especially if you don’t even know if you like them or not.

I hear you bro.. I don't see it as hate at all.. 70% of the shoes I own are Jordan 1's my favorite silouite. I will never buy a shoe if I dont like it, but some I have to see in hand to see if I like the shoe or not. (This one grew on me). I like spiderman but Gambit is my favorite superhero lol. I dont feel like you have to know everything about a shoe just to purchase it. Some people buy what they like some buy to resell and some buy for the hype. As long as you making your own money buy what you want.. as for people in raffles or these apps if they want the shoe they know what they have to do.. if you dont do the leg work you either have to pay resell, Wait till after the store releases the ones that were not picked up or just pass on them. People get upset cause they cant get the shoe off the reservation app but did they do the leg work to get the 10 mins at each store? Did they go to the stores that pass out tickets? Etc.. I know what you mean just trying to give you my prospective.. really appreciate you watching and the convo!

Trey D Kicks i totally get you. And this isn’t a direct hit to you personally. You’re a shoetuber and I mean part of your job is to review shoes. I am talking about everyone that when the pics first surfaced were like “those are wack, they ruined the Chicago’s” but the moment it came out that it is a Spider-Man shoe, they were like “oh ok them things are fiiiireeee”. I personally strongly dislike hypebeasts. So that’s what I was referring to. Especially people that have NO CLUE or care about Spider-Man or the movies or even why the shoe looks the way it does.

I'd keep them for the leather quality if you're gonna wear them. If not, there's no reason to have another pair of red/white/black shoe.

just got the Spider-Man for a week and I love them. Leather is actually very nice but.... Its look like a kid shoes...
As a sneaker head and big nerd...I can completely appreciate the colorway, materials and execution AND the subtle nod to the Comic book world. Because I’m not a huge Spider-Man fan I love that the design doesn’t have spider webs and sh*t all over it 😆 For real! I wouldn’t have been as excited for them had they done that...but because the nod is in the 3M dot pattern...which harkens back to the comic book pixelation coloring from back in the day (Google Vintage comic pixel coloring). I love them! I’ve got another pair of 1s (not more Origin) delivering this week but I’m not taking these off for awhile! Great video man🤘🏾

Dope review as always fam... I have the carmine 1’s and Chicago 1 lows so I had to cop. Got lucky on the footlocker app but had to drive 1 and 1/2 hours to pick up!! Dope kicks and it’s much better in hands imo. Chicago’s next year, also a must cop. Now if you are a collector, then I would say keep, but again since these were limited they would definitely go up in price or you could use as trade bait for something you really want. You never knows, it may come in handy down the road. All in all I would keep but the decision is in your hand. Keep up the good work. ✌️

I really love this shoe. I only just recently got into Jordan's and besides the Banned colorway these were my absolute favorite. I also love the film and spider-man has been my favorite hero since I was a kid. The 3M dots don't really show great in normal light but they look REALLY good in photos with the flash on

I picked some up just barely because all the sites were locked down, and the Footlocker I go to gets some of the special releases and they only had 6 pairs! I don’t have the original AJ 1 in any color so I’m keeping mine, I you already have them then I can see why you would not keep them, but the ice blue sole is dope to me.

Personally I bought them mostly because im a spider man fan. so if you don't care for the character then i guess you can sell it. but like you said the material is better on those and it shows tbh. i also like the red much more on the origin 1s. looks more premium.

Yeah, you’ll notice the pixelation in the movie too...check out the Sunflower video (Post Malone), you’ll see some great representation of the coloring.
Ima have to disagree with you about the OG Chicago they were decent leather better than the 2013 pair... the 2015 was a remastered version I think everyone is tumble leather crazy ...I miss the soft smooth leather like they use to be every shoe was not tumble... dope review I’m from New Orleans so the master p intro is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 lol

Trey D Kicks in general although it’s a tribute to Miles shoe in the Spider-Man film, Jordan brand went KINDA lazy on this shoe...let’s be honest here. Sure, it has good leather quality but with that Icy Sole they could have added like a SPIDER logo or something, like how they added a line in those Jordan 3s a couple years ago. Even the insole is normal and only a limited number of shoes will come with that Spiderverse box. That’s just my two cents haha

Keep the spider-1s because of it's leather quality and uniqueness. Leather quality on the current Chicago 1s isn't the best. Besides, the Chicago 1s will be dropping out again next year and possibly better quality than the last pair.

I'll be honest, I don't see these ones restocking. I thought I saw somewhere that the quantity on these was one-tenth what they produced for the Concords, which would explain why you had a higher level of difficulty copping (as did I). I took an L on the Concords (was out of town working, so only had SNKRS to rely on), but I was somehow actually able to cop through SNKRS on these. The quality is there, the rarity is there - don't sell these. Like @thelox2020 said above, you'll regret it.
