    So....an accidental broadcast of a practice drill involving a spacesuit...the next day a spacewalk is scrubbed due to spacesuit "discomfort". Scratching my head here....

      This comment is like someone getting confused about being told that a tsunami is not going to destroy a city, and then sees one kid get knocked over by a slightly larger than average wave

    How where they planning on getting him to Spain? Space walk delayed next day and an astronaut with decompression sickness. Sounds to me like they were filming the space walk in advance under water and one surfaced too fast ...

    The man is dying and no one can help him.
    She is relatively calm, although she has to stop several times to take a very deep breath and tries not to panic, but her voice trembles badly when she finds out that the situation is critical.
    Unfortunately, they all know very well the risks of being a spaceman.

    It's kinda crazy that they are asking questions regarding fitting masks inside of closed visors as if they haven't tested every emergency scenario imaginable on earth years ago and continually.

    • @Anymal104
      @Anymal104 4 месяца назад +5

      well it's not like everyone has the exact same face, it's all custom made, and you reallllly want to make sure that if someone puts on a mask that they can fully relly on it functioning properly, wouldn't want that to fail while you depend on it to keep you alive

      It's a ground crew drill, aren't they kinda doing the exact thing you're criticizing about them not doing? They make up extreme scenarios to practice how they would handle them

  • @GranularTime

    Having served as a Medic in the United States Army, I have engaged in numerous training exercises focused on casualty care. The question concerning the placement of the oxygen mask in proximity to the patient's face indicates to me that a well-defined protocol should have been established, rather than relying on improvised solutions in the heat of the moment.
    Is it conceivable that they have never encountered this DCS scenario prior and are only now attempting to devise a method for administering oxygen to a patient equipped with a helmet? Such a notion seems implausible, given the assumed rigorous training and preparation typically associated with NASA operations.
    This seemed to me to be an actual emergency.

    It reminds me of that audio recording from an unknown female cosmonaut that was alone and lost in the space as she was melting...
    The audio recording was captured by two scientists and released to the public, but the soviet officials said: _Do not worry, it was just a simulation._
    No.

    • @CustomWorship5149
      @CustomWorship5149 4 месяца назад +4

      I'm pretty sure that that audio recording was faked by those 2 scientists.
      The Soviet spacecrafts at the time and the technology were entirely unmanned and were just probes (IF I remember correctly) at the time.
      You can look up more about this in an animated video on this website (RUclips) called "Myths of Lost Cosmonauts."
      It's a video that has the thumbnail with a shot of a flaming smoke trail about the Earth with blackness in the background.
      Hopefully you can learn more and enjoy the things about space and the stars and other such things!

      Accidents happen, and especially when it comes to Soviets.
      I remember in 1986 they were constantly repeating to european scientists that everything is fine and that nothing bad has happened, and three days later, nuclear clouds arrived to Europe.
      Always something terrible when it comes to Soviets.
      But NASA as well.
