  • Public Service Announcement on potential misuse with rotation/locking mechanisms on the Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 and possibly the similar Maxi-Cosi Emme 360 car seat. We have observed this issue on several Turn and Go 360 models.
We do not have enough information to know how common this issue may be. We do know the force required to incorrectly rotate/swivel the seat can vary from person to person, can vary over time after break-in, by direction of rotation, by how securely the base is installed, and possibly by different production dates.
The concern is that a parent or caregiver who is not familiar with the correct usage of this seat might accidentally misuse it by forcing it into an unlocked or unsecured state. Misuse in this manner seems more likely than with other rotating carseats we have evaluated.
Our longer PSA confirms this on a separate Turn and Go model: • PSA: Safety 1st Turn a...
We have been advised by the manufacturer, Dorel Juvenile Group, that recent production changes to the Turn and Go 360 have doubled the force required to overcome the block. We have not yet confirmed this.
