I travelled to Lahsa several years ago, but couldn't visit the Potala Palace due to sever high-altitude-sickness, and I flied to Chengdu on the second day after visiting Jokhang Temple and Norbulingka. Very glad to see the inside part of the Potala Palace from your video. Tibet was in a slave society before 1951, and you can imagine how much fortune, resources and labour slaves the former Tibetan ruling class cost for building such a massive palace.
There was no record of there ever being slaves in Tibet. However, there were servants throughout Tibet which means they were compensated for their labor.
I’m a person from Chengdu, China I went there when I was very young. People there are really friendly and warm-hearted. I enjoyed butter milk with sugar, it tastes really good.
Feel so glad for you too to make the trip there. Travel to China, one of the must, beside the usual. I also want to go there, could have but didn’t. Cheer mates!
