Dude you cant jumpscare us with how much of a banger the music choice for Castle Grounds was. I had to actively resist throwing it back due to how much of a jam it was Ok but fr, happy to see you posting more showcase videos! Mario 64 tracks as Mario Kart levels work better than you think they would. Shoutouts to Waltz for his ports of not just Mario 64 levels but various mario levels in general. His ports are amazing and hes also just geniunely a really nice guy.
Always interesting to see levels from other games turned into Mario Kart tracks! They don't always work out amazingly, but the ones chosen for this video seem to be on the better designed side, and work as both tracks and references to their original counterparts. So yeah, nice video!
It’s awesome to see these levels as Mario Kart tracks! Waltz has especially made a lot of awesome Mario 64 tracks, and that transition from Shifting Sand Land to the Ancient Pyramid is incredible. Also gotta say that Peach’s Secret Slide is really cool!
Thanks for the reminder that I still need to finish my version of Wet Dry World (and the jumpscare of one of the worst blind jumps I've ever been responsible for lol)
Nice collection of tracks! One bummer though is that, because both water levels are my favorite levels in SM64 (I love Big Boo's Haunt very much too!), I maybe had too high hopes for them? Because FSR they're both featured in the PC Mario Kart fan-game, which... let's be honest, doesn't look the best. I mean, come on, you could do SO much with a sunken ship and a hidden treasure cavern that used to belong to a pirate! MK7 or MK8/MK8D would work PERFECTLY with anti-gravity and massive elevation changes, and, don't forget -- underwater racing! Real mist opportunity there.
@@davidgirou3710 believe me you won't be just as disappointed as me when i saw they remade it in MK8 and they didn't remake it but some Fake knockoff track.
My favorite levels recreatied in mario kart are Whomp fortress, big boo's haunt shifting sand land, wet dry world, tall tall mountain, tiny huge Island, tick tock clock,
While not shown in the video, lap 3 is a loop cut short. The castle painting leads you back into the room from the start of the race and it ends at the bottom before you jump into Peach's mural. It doubles as a callback to the orginal and doesn't make the track feel too long, especially on lower CCs.
I love how its just Ds Tick-Tock Clock being there haha! 😂 Although I would have prefered if you used the ds version for this video, because the remake doesn't look anything like the one in mario 64 🤔 P.s. I make alot of Mario Kart PC tracks. For example I just finished remaking ALL Snes tracks 😊 (Haven't uploaded them yet)
Hey all, check out a Visual Montage that I made for CTGP Deluxe, a Mario Kart 8 project! ruclips.net/video/ykfjV6pogw8/видео.htmlsi=D8kv4C2h1mtL0uGS
I'm pretty sure that castle grounds being just SFX is just from the editing, but it sounds hilarious when paired with the fast mario kart gameplay
Feeling very honored to have a lot of my SM64 ports in the video. They were all very fun to make
Yeah they were awesome man
Dude yours were the best by far
The visuals and transitions between games really get me excited.

I love how Tick Tock Clock just stays exactly the same
Ironic is that is not exactly like the original level in sm64.
Yeah cause that'd SUCK@@RockStoneLee19
@@RockStoneLee19because it was in mkds
I appreciate tick tock clock just being the actual track lmao

So yeah, nice video!
There should be a custom map where lap 1 is Peach’s slide, lap 2 is Cool Cool Mountain’s and 3 is Tall Tall Mountain’s.

Nintendo should stop attacking this channel, specially the Mario Kart 8 videos
22:42 Damn this fanmade track looks stunning 😱🤯🤩

Real mist opportunity there.
Edit -- I typed ''mist'' oportunity wrong on accident, but Jolly Roger Bay DOES feature mist, so... kind of a happy accident, I guess.
22:42 Technically, there's already a Tick Tock Clock brought to you by Nintendo
yeah they did amazing on the DS version of the track. it felt close to the actual level.
Yeah, but I was almost sad that they put the official nintendo one, I would have loved to see an actual remake of the sm64 level
@@davidgirou3710 believe me you won't be just as disappointed as me when i saw they remade it in MK8 and they didn't remake it but some Fake knockoff track.
I really hope there's a track based on the slides for Mario Kart 9!
Rainbow road:❌
Rainbow ride:✅
Dang, the water levels and big boo haunt really got the short end of the stick huh, I was so excited for big boo haunt too😢
Just adding a drumbeat to the Cool, Cool Mountain theme made it surprisingly more fitting.
I meant that it made it more fitting for racing.
22:43 Creator: Nintendo
My favorite part is trying to guess which level will have a custom track in any of the games
Like I was so confident that there had to be a Mario Kart 8 track for Jolly Roger Bay
mario kart 7 custom tracks will always do it for me. theyre just so nice to look at. let me know if you make a mario kart 7 custom track only video!
didn't like jolly roger bay
Rip bowser in the fire sea and bowser in the sky🪦
0:33
Top screen: Castle Grounds
Bottom Screen: Toad Circuit
Tall tall mountain slide either wasnt in sm64ds or is wiped from my memory
1:51 That's not a Chain Chomp, that's a 3!
Great. Now for the contrary: Mario kart 64 maps as mario 64 levels. plz anyone?
Bizarre question, where did you get the audio file for the castle grounds ambience? Been looking for that forever.
Hey! I just looked up: Super Mario 64 Outside of the Castle Ambience and extracted the audio. Was looking for that for a while as well haha.
@@MarioPower55 I see, dunno why I never thought of extracting it
I still remember the OG Whomp's Fortress and Bob Omb's Battlefield from like 2011 and 2012 or so
My favorite levels recreatied in mario kart are Whomp fortress, big boo's haunt shifting sand land, wet dry world, tall tall mountain, tiny huge Island, tick tock clock,
well there is no track for bowser in the sky would love to see that 1 as well but good video
Why'd you cut lap 3 of the Peach's Secret Slide track in 8 Deluxe? I can't find any other uploads of it

@@Insidious_NX Oh, I see. That's a neat design choice
Jolly Roger Bay was something else...
Mario kart pc is underrated tho
It is insanely depressing how for both water levels they weren't even in an actual Mario Kart game 😭
Mario kart pc is really underrated tho
Oh man! I need to play!!
i was honeslty expection jrb to be more into mk8 or 7
No bowser in the fire sea or in the sky, curious
Tú trabajo es Excelente
How do you get Mario Kart wii ctgp?
Didn’t like the one for jolly Rodger bay
Why are most of the tracks in mario kart wii and not the other games like mario kart ds and 7
Why are Bowser in the fire sea and Bowser in the sky missing?
Yooooo he featured MKPC in another vid
Rainbow cruise should by mk10's rainbow road
The Waltz episode 🔥
Por favor lleven a terapia a Waltz, un día de estos terminará haciendo una pista sobre la selección de archivos del juego
P.d. Conozco a Waltz, no vayan a tomar a mal mi comentario, el sabe de que lo hablo

Jolly Roger Bay was always my favorite SM64 level.
Not too impressed with how it’s presented here. They used Super Mario Kart graphics for it…👎👎👎
It's Mario Kart PC, a web fan game and a really good but also underrated, i would recommend playing it
