It almost looks like a city that has been there for a million years or more. It is probably a great location to meditate about our place here on Earth.
Yea, definitely! It's a really great spot but you have to catch it when there aren't a lot of off-road vehicles. I've been there in both scenarios.....they tend to make it harder to meditate - LOL.
Loved your video and drone shots! I do have a question maybe you could answer, those night shots, were they visible like that with the naked eye? Or it’s just easier to see through a camera lense? And also if the view is always like that? Or just during some times or the year? Thanks!!
Thanks, I appreciate that! The night shots are taken at a longer exposure so the camera is able to gather more light than you can see with your naked eyes. It's pretty bright but not as bright as it looks in the video. The milky way will only be visible at certain times of the year roughly March -Oct so the view is always different and it will be best viewed at different times of the night during those months. There are optimal times to view it and there are charts online that can give you more details than I know - hope that helps!
Thank you for not taking a dump (metaphorically) on the area. This place is home and very special to a lot of people. Sorry you got crowded out of the Pinnacles. Annoys the hell out of me too. 👍
You're welcome - I've only been there a couple of times and the first time I didn't see another person, so this time was a bit different for sure. But it's a really great place and I look forward to going back!
Was there in early March, very few cars, but had a severe wind storm that partially collapsed my tent. What time of the year, what day of the week? I’ve never found it crowded midv week and early in the year..
Greetings from California ;) Thanks, I'm glad you liked it, it's a pretty cool location! When you were there did you make it over to the Alabama Hills? Another cool spot that I like photographing even more!
It’s very nice of you to share this night shot. This was gorgeous. Now I want to go and experience it by myself haha (Have you ever been to Lassen Park to check out the night there ?!)
Thanks, you should definitely visit if you have the chance! I've never been to Lassen Park, although it's been on my list. There are so many places and so little time... ;)
