This is actually great review. I own this model and I find you were bang on with most of your points. Well it is a very heavy guitar, it's balanced well and doesn't produce any neck dive. Also, I don't experience any problems with the placement of the neck pickup. But, many players have different picking styles, so I could see it being a problem. That being said, the pickup itself is useless tonally. While it might look cool I would have preferred just having a single bridge pickup like the older satin purple M model.
Thank you! I really appreciate you watching :) The way I pick has me hitting into the pickup repeatedly. I agree 100%. Single humbucker guitars for the win.
Hey I have this as well, sink that middle pickup in, it still has plenty of definition and it gets it nice and out of the way for picking. Really helped me, it was the first thing I did. And then I made a black pickguard, highly recommend that also 🤙🏼
Another great vid that hit all the points I'd be looking for. You seem to have an eye for detail and that helps me because I find a lot of reviews on youtube to be overly long and not dive into the cosmetic quality and so forth. Looking forward to the next one!
i really like the mid position neck pickup on a seven i have an old sc207. the heft is nice too. i remember picking up an ibanezrg7421 that i had my eye on and thinking "naw" because it felt so lite and cheap by comparison
I had the older black version with the emgs like 5 years ago. Good to know they're still super heavy lol. Wish I still had mine. I love esp/ltds consistency. I haven't had a bad one yet. Also, I agree on the pickups, not a fan of the fishman modern either. I have the SC607b1h and was fully expecting to have to swap the pickup but it's awesome
I wish I had the black version too hahaha. Yeah man, for some reason I can't seem to like the Fishman Fluence Moderns. They sound like an ice pick, especially in my E-II NT-7B. EMGs just sounds smoother to my ears. That being said, the Stephen Carpenter and Matt Heafy signature Fluences sound awesome. I really want an SC607B1H. I just wish they made them with a gloss finish.
@ocdguitarreviews lol I definitely don't need that, but I love seeing stuff like that. I'm really curious to see what they're going to do with Mick Thomson, but I'm sure that won't be for a while. Already warned my wife lol
@@DaddyDisgusto I will be the first person ordering the Mick Thomson signature if they drop one lol. I best warn my girlfriend. I agree though. These probably will come out later in the year. I hope Mick opts for a hipshot or tuneomatic bridge, because I'm lazy when it comes to string changes.
@@hideyourface kidding aside, I really appreciate it! Unfortunately, my tendinitis has been really acting up. I'm hoping to put some more footage of me playing in my next video.
lol ESP makes the best battery covers. it's magnetic and you push the cover in. I think your ESP guitars are older designs with the plate and 2 screws.
For a while I was hahaha. I was finally able to conquer my guitar addiction in January. Stay tuned...I'm planning on reviewing every single guitar I own.

Thank you for the kind words! I'm thinking of reviewing Kiesel V220 next :)
Great guitar man! I love that finish and i'm glad you do too
Thanks man! I'm a sucker for flashy finishes, especially green ones lol.

@ocdguitarreviews yea man, I agree with all of that haha
@@DaddyDisgusto I hear ESP is dropping some new models this Monday. Fingers crossed for a Stephen Carpenter 9 string lol.

nice review Dylan. 👍🏻
Thank you for the continued support Craig!
Who named this model, Ibanez??
You would think, right? Hahaha.
Cool color, design and binding but a plastic nut for that price is shameful.
I bet you hate Relic guitars. Lmao. That OCD would drive you nuts 🥜. Hahahahah.
You are one hundred percent right lol.
Do you work at a guitar shop or something ? That’s a lot of money to be throwing around for guitar reviews lol
I wish! I was working three jobs for a while to finance a guitar addiction, but it left me with no time to play. I wouldn't recommend it lololol.
@@ocdguitarreviews hahhahaha 😂
10 pounds isn’t heavy my guy. 17 pounds is haha I have an EGC that is 17
17 pounds?!?!? Sign me up hahaha. Is it one of those aluminum neck guitars?
No playing?!
No, I can't play. I actually buy guitars just to look at them.
@@ocdguitarreviews Shame, I like your playing 😂

What do you mean?
Damn dude you just buying guitars left and right? 😂

My wife thinks it looks like astroturf
