I was delighted to find this video for the Viking Husqvarna 120 model sewing machine! My mother-in-law bought this same machine years ago and has sewn hundreds of miles of thread on it. It's a very quality machine. She can no longer sew and I am now setting up the machine in my home but the basic instruction manuel was missing for things like simply threading and bobbin winding. I thought the video was a huge help and want to thank you Brian, for producing it. :)
Thank You Brian. I just bought a Husqvarna Claire (Australia 200 edition) and I can't find a manual anywhere, so I found that this machine of yours is quite similar to mine and your explanations were very useful. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for this! Purchased a Viking Husqvarna 150 E model today at an estate sale and couldn't figure out how to wind the bobbin. Your video was really helpful.
I bought mine second hand for about £60 over 5 years ago. This machine is heavy and stitches beautifully. Much better than an over priced Bernina. Well worth the purchase.
I got this exact same machine at a garage sale for $5 an it's been sitting in my closet for a year because I didn't know how to use it. Thanks so much for posting this video it was very helpful :)
I have owned this machine for over 30 years....It is a work horse and works as well today as when I got it in 1979..I think that was the year....definitely before 1981 when I graduated college. I came here cause I need bobbins..only thing you didn't know ..I only have two...dark and light thread. You people who got it for under 100.00? kudos.. I spent $700.00 and have never regretted it. You are right...I am looking at the Brother CP7500 but I don't want to get rid of this very reliable machine
Thanks sew much. Lol. I am a seventh grader and am learning how to sew for home ect. We have this machine at home but we never use it! This video taught me just that! Thanks again.
I have have this sewing maching for about 40 years. I always have enjoyed using it and it did not have any problem until now. It suddenly stop spinning after I tried to sew thick fabric. The motor seems working but some part inside of machine seems loosened . Do you know how to check the problem?
Thanks for that demo. Someone on Freecycle gave me a Husqvarna 150E - w/o a manual or foot pedal/power cord so I had no idea how to thread or operate the machine. Your demo was very helpful because your machine is very similar to what I have. Will see if I can buy the power cord on Ebay. Thanks again.
Hi Brian, do you know how to disassemble this machine? It either needs oiling or something's broken. As try to 'accelerate' for a while it does nothing, though I can hear the static electricity; then, suddenly, it goes brrrrrraap! Was basically looking for disassembly videos. Thank you
Hello! I just bought this machine in second hand. I can't turn off the "winding" mode. So, The needle does not go down or up. Can you help me? I’m sorry, my English is so baaad (I’m French 😝) Thank you very much !
I have the 190 model. I bought it second hand for about £60 in England. They are very rare. It's an amazing machine which can sew through several layers. I managed to sew through over 16 layers of fabric!! The machine didn't whine once!! To me this is a better machine than the Bernina machines (which in my opinion are highly overpriced!). If you can find one, its definitely worth having.
I would liked to have been shown the actual winding of the bobbin. Not sure mine is working properly. And, you forgot to mention the thread cutter. Otherwise, very helpful.
Brian, I have a Husqvarna Classica 105. I am sooo sooo frustrated b/c I need it to work- now. I know I have threaded the machine properly, and I know the bobbin is threaded properly,- at least I think I know! ? Ugh... I continue to experience birdnesting. It's terrible. Any words of advice? Ughh.
Thank you for the tutorial. Haven't used my 120 in over ten years pulled it out to sew masks but discover I only had one bobbin. Ordered some online that were suppose to fit. They didn't. What size bobbin do I need and does anyone know where to buy them?
I'm looking for some instructions on how to oil my viking classica 105, from the mid 90s. One of the vikings they told me didn't need oiled, but then when I took it to get fixed a few years ago, said, well, they kinda do need oiled. I hear a clanking kind of noise, that makes me think it needs oiled, but can't find instructions anywhere on how to get into it. don't want to pay 100 to get service if i don't have to.....it old machine, not sure it worth that. Thanks.
Nice video although I'm still fucking ENTIRELY lost on how to thread this thing. I don't use this machine, but my other one isn't working and I'm in a bind. Please, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TELL ME HOW TO THREAD THIS LIKE IM A CHILD AND/OR IDIOT. Much thanks. EDIT: HEY how do I even drop the foot. I know I sound like I've never used a sewing machine before but my other one is a Singer Scholastic model 717 and I've never so much as touched another one.

Thanks for the demo. I have have my 120 for 30 years and it is still going strong.
I have one, and am not used to these "modern" machines. It doesn't seem to need oiling. Is this correct? grateful for an answer.

Is it possible to use a different pressure foot ie a quilting foot?
Hi Brian, excellent video! Can you tell me just how slow is the speed on this machine? I'm planning on driving a distance to purchase one.
Thanks!
