I was brought up in the 80's where chinese start to realize english is the bridge to the rest of world. and after 40 years, you can sense the englishlization is still on the up ramp, in another 10/20 years, it will be virtually indistinguishable from english in England, hopefully, but hope u can sense the trajectory. would you consider China as part of British language wise after scottland, and ireland and wales? :

Let alone there is a hygiene issue, but potentially more severe issues like hidden cameras, etc. There are a lot of chain hotels, international or domestic, available everywhere and the stay quality is more likely guaranteed and some of their facilities are surprisingly fun.

I am sorry about your accommodation in Sanya. But don't let it spoil your holiday in Sanya. Hainan Island is the last Chinese frontier where it is still like the American old wild West, a bit rough.
