Dude's very good at what he does. He also works in a shop where management understands that modern equipment is an asset. I ran a big Gidddings and Lewis HBM back in the day and we had NONE of the things you see in this video. Junky, beat up hold downs, limited and worn out tooling etc. No nice, accurate set-up blocks and fixtures. Every job was a shit storm. Somehow managed to turn work out but it was the damn stone age compared to the equipment in this video. This is not meant to take anything away from this guy. He is a top notch set up man and very skilled.
It must be taken into account that the machine with which one works in these videos is conventional and with many years of work behind it. The tool is very different from the one used in the latest generation of CNC machines, but it is still very functional and works at full capacity. Regards my friend.

O sr é fera mesmo parabens , olhando parece bem mais facil doque na realidade onde eu trabalho de torneiro compraram uma deste mesmo porte uma sao rocco, e fiquei uns 2 meses eu com o fresador trabalhando nela na caldeiraria pra fazer os serviços semelhante ao seu e deu pra sentir na pele trabalhar com peças que muitas das vezes nem cabe na mesa e na maquina nao e facil.

This is a friend. Before starting the task you have to have the piece well centered and conveniently tied so that it does not move. The second phase is to be clear about the process to follow as to where to start and finish the work as well as what type of tools Cutting will be used. As you say all this configuration takes time and sometimes more than the machining of the piece itself. Thanks and best regards.

EL METAL RaymondMenendez solo echo en falta en el vídeo la construcción de la pieza, pero imagino que será porque de la construcción y soldadura se encargará otra empresa y vosotros del mecanizado de la misma. Aún así me hipnotizan estos videos

Hola Juan.Esta gran estructura se utiliza para construir vías férreas.Va colocando los railes junto con las traviesas.En el video la maquina está en los comienzos de su montaje por eso no se ve con detalle todos los elementos que incorpora.Saludos.
