I am 53 and I have learned that friendships are for a season….now I don’t care what people think or how they react……….be yourself and people will love you the way you are…..you are beautiful person stop over thinking 🥰
Godspeed to your healing, book friend 🫶🏾 It’s an everyday, all day task. My Dad has been my Angel for some years now, and all I can say is that time really does heal. Whew! The only way out, is through… and you WILL get through ❤️
Really enjoyed this vlog! ❤ Healthy eating can be so tough when we're adulting but i agree that we must do what's best for our bodies! I was raised as a carnivore, became a vegan at 17 yo, went back to eating meat when i had my kids (age 22-28) and made the switch to vegetarianism back in June 2022. My mother is currently on dialysis 😢 so i know what you had to witness your Dad go through! I lost my Dad too (liver damage) and just recently, my gma passed from gastro issues. I've reached my mid 30s and make sure to put self care as top priority in my daily routine. Wishing you all the best on your healing journey! 🤗 p.s. i've had the ebook version of MAAME since the beginning of this year! 😅 Hoping to read it before 2024 ends!
I loved Elevator Pitch by Evelyn Leigh. I think you'll love it. The story is so well done with depth and the spice is warranted. Absolutely a book girlies book.
Definitely relate to the friendship conversation. Been on the same boat all my life . Always overthinking things so exhausting. But I truly believe those who are meant to share space will be solid in accepting 💜
So glad you bought The Great Alone! It is still one of my top 3 favorite books and has been since 2018. 😅 I understand your anxiety around people and friends. I often have those same thoughts about how I'm perceived by others after an encounter. Did I say the right thing? Did I say too much? Repeating the whole convo in my head and on and on. What helps me is to just try not to dominate the conversation or try not to interrupt others while they are trying to get their points across. It sounds obvious but sometimes we get so passionate about a subject and don't give enough pause for others to speak up too.
I can’t wait to read the great alone! It looks so good! & thanks for sharing your perspective on what helps you with this! Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this way 🫶🏽🤍
you can,t beleive how fast i clicked. i have been waiting for this video all day love your content soooooo muchhhhhhh. may god bless you more and more very day
It was the first real chilly day here in Berlin and I came home after running errands extra looking forward to a cozy vlog from you 💙 So thank you as always for all the love and care and time you put into your work! I feel myself headed towards a book slump so I'm desperately trying to ward it off with holiday reads. The joy of this season (although tinged with lots of sadness) is what carries me through the colder months. My list is nice and long, thanks to your recent Christmas books vlog! 🎄✨
Thank you for talking about health! ❤I’ve been struggling with stomach pains and after a lot of tests the doctors think it’s all from my anxiety😩 I just turned 30 and I want to try eating differently and see if it helps 🥰
I swear turning 30 was when I really started to dive into my health so I feel you on this! Now that I’m 32 I definitely have so much I’ve learned, but so much I still want to learn too! So sorry you’re going through this 🫂🫂
I have an autoimmune disease and found your conversation about the carnivore diet really intriguing. I’d be really interested in seeing more of that content and how your body responds by adding certain foods back in. I also wanted to say my periods were also very heavy and one thing I’ve found that has helped me significantly recently was switching to clean ingredient tampons/ pads. I’ve found that my cramps and even flow amount have been better. Maybe due to just less inflammation from the bleach/ other chemicals in the previous products. Loved this video btw! 🫶🩷
I am a bit under the weather so this is the perfect day to wrap myself in a blanket and rot in bed while watching an hour long vlog ❤And yes you should definitely bump Elevator Pitch to the top of the list! It sounds so cute and I love the representation!
My dad has been gone 9 years as of April this year. Its finally getting to where my sister and I can say dad would say this or remember when dad did this without chocking up. But when it comes to my late husband, i still have days where i just cant deal. His birthday was the 29th of October and it was worse this year than last year when it was the first thing i had to do with him after he passed last year. So, you do you! Deal, how, you have to deal and use your man as your rock!
Congrats on reaching 50k subbies! Sending prayers for strength and understanding during this difficult time. I break my reading slump by reading manga. Please try the "Sweat and Soap" manga series from your library. It is a romance manga that is really sweet. They are quick reads that make you smile. The series is relatively short. All dialog.
I just picked up Love In Winter Wonderland as part of my Christmas reads which I always start the day after Thanksgiving with my goal of 3 books read by Christmas Day. I pre ordered A Legend In The Baking. I use my Kindle Unlimited membership to read most books Elevator Pitch is one of the books on my KU list.
I have two very close besties. They live in other states be we always keep in contact and do our best to see each other. They are my only friends bc there is an amount of trust and respect. They are my ride or die gals. I rather have them than a 100 others. Trust is very important to me. ❤❤❤
I’m finishing up The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. Started it in the summer but put a hold on it because it was giving fall/winter. I was half way through and knew I had to start picking up all of Kristin Hannah books. So excited to get to The Great Alone because I’ve heard nothing but great things about it. I’m reading books I can’t wait to read and doing a reread of Archer’s Voice this month (Nov.) because it’s my bday month!!!🎂♥️
What is a good deal on a book? I've only become an avid reader five months ago. I figure anything under $15....? But I don't know. What do you consider a good deal?
Yes we need so much more protein and healthy fat. It took me 2 weeks to get full off of protein and fats, like my bod was undernourished. My nails stopped breaking off and I was pre diabetic too, so this helped. Sugar is addictive. Going to buy my steak tomorrow, I never was a steak person.
“Park Summer Avenue” by Renee Rosen was a fantastic read (although, I don’t think the author is black, but I could be wrong). Still, a great read that I think you’ll enjoy. It’s similar to “The Devil Wears Prada” 💜
Sis, this is so off-topic but I love your addresses. Can you share where they’re from? Would love to purchase one and continue to be your authentic self to gain authentic friends. You are more than enough as you are. Love your channel.
🩷Yeah, different strokes for different folks on healthy journey for everyone. Sending you and your family care today ❤️. I love slow burns and friends to lovers.OMG this will be my first "series". I keep saying, "I can't wait to read it (A Ledgend in Baking) 💗. Wow Elevator Pitch sounds good. Hope to read it as well.🩷
