- The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is about to take its chronicle of a young demigod's quest to find Zeus's lightning bolt on the road. Recently, the cast - including Chris McCarrell and Kristin Stokes, both of whom starred as Percy Jackson and Annabeth in its New York production last year - gave the press a preview of what audiences across the United States will expect. See McCarrell, Stokes, and the rest perform three numbers from the Rob Rokicki-Joe Tracz musical below. The national tour will begin in Chicago starting next month.

Edit: Also today I got to open my other Hanukkah presents that I didn't get yet since my sister got back home from collage today. And on my list I asked for tickets for the Lightning Thief tour, but I didn't think I would get them. But when my parents handed me and envelope saying that it was for me and my sister I knew exactly what it was. So now I get to see the tour and I'm so freaking excited

Chris McCarrel is a perfect Percy Jackson. The songs are amazing also. Percy Jackson and annabeth chase are my fave characters. I wish they could make the sea of monsters as one of the musicals. This musical is the closest thing to the book than the movies were

Do it, I'd do it if I had money to buy the tickets. Besides, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. Besides, experiences are much better than material worth. Most of my classmates are buying IPhone X for Christmas, but you know what I'd do with that money? I'd pay for me and my family to go to the musical, and maybe go to Disneyland with my friends. You only live once.

It’s kind of crazy to see Kristin here. I was never around when she was here, but I’m part of mother’s youth theatre in the Bay Area in California, and knowing that Kristin started in a place I’m at is so cool. Her AND her sister Courtney Stokes are super talented. It’s amazing when you actually know someone who’s living the dream and actually out there kicking ass doing it
When I saw that asian guy with highlights, I immediately recognized him because of his roles in the musicals he does in texas state university. The university posts video clips of the musicals they perform. I’m glad he’s getting a huge role in this one
