Additional Tips: Know that you can also improve your employee stats by promoting and training them. This is one way you can buff up a character with low command cost!
Thanks for this, I went into the first meeting having read only the in-game description and had NO Idea what to do--I didn't even realize it wouldn't be turn-based. I somehow managed to survive just by hitting the Level 3 apology right before time ran out. Now I feel like I know what I'm doing.
Yeah I read the tutorial before starting yet still had no idea what I was supposed to be doing during the meeting. Failed pretty quickly but the failure cutscene was so hilarious and expressed my feelings so well I couldn't be mad. That said, still had to look up wtf to do so thanks for this!
Thanks for the information. I was feeling pretty overwhelmed by this mini game; I had NO idea what to do or how to survive. The game has an irritating habit of diverting your attention in five or six different ways at once, and it's tough to keep up with it all while progressing through the story.
This video was really helpful. Somehow I missed the rock paper scissors relationship between the colors. I was attacking the shareholder shields with the same colors. This video is awesome.
One thing that the video doesn't mention is that after you break down the shareholder's defenses, you can feel free to damage with any of the other team members - you don't have to stick with that one. So that might help.
First look at the color of the argument. Then check the colorful icons of your employees. Red can beat green Green can beat blue Blue can beat red If you broke the argument, attack em by looking at which color their icons are. Works the same as argument colors. Special thanks to Kibbles
TY so much, having this vid be with the english version of the game helps too. I just started playing the game on game pass and am falling in love with it.
This was the best description of how to handle this I have seen on YT. All the others are either to "wacky", with dumb puns, or are so far into end game not covering early tactics its already confusing.
Thanks for watching. You might also check out my most recent video on this channel, where I break down all the various systems in Like a Dragon: ruclips.net/video/DNy_zMKvNfU/видео.html
Thank you so much! I made a more comprehensive guide for Like a Dragon that might also be helpful for you: ruclips.net/video/DNy_zMKvNfU/видео.html Enjoy!
Oyea and this video out of all the gides I've seen for this is the most detailed and helped me understand this the most soo it shows me it looks far more complicated than it actually is because I didn't understand the color coordination and different collers for different caricters
are you supposed to lsoe the first meeting? i wasn't even able to choose an employe to talk it just popped the question and the time ran out before i was able to choose any of my employes.
What other game allows you to have a chicken, an ape, a huge vacuum cleaner, and a 9yo child as managers of a billion yen company? That’s why Yakuza is the greatest game series ever😂
Thank You, the in game tutorial for this is terrible and the first time playing the mini game you are thrust onto a screen with a timer counting down and a bunch of icons and gauges on the screen that aren’t explained. This is what I needed.
Absolutely use Goro Majima (eye patch) and Seonhee (purple hair). The both present high charisma and only require 4 and 6 pts respectively, very low for such impact, get em - worth every penny. Best damn board members for these meetings, period. You really only need to use Ichiban's Level 1 apology to refill your energy meter. Spamming Goro typically works but occassionally switch to Seonhee when people resist his initial retorts. Near maxing profits, I would max raise my best employees and fully train them for that added boost to keep all the extremely profitable and upgraded properties in the blue. Most of the focus was on swapping and upgrading properties until Rank 10 or so, then I started giving raises and training - billions in capital to work with. Couldn't find a way to extract it to Ichiban (amazing if I just overlooked that) but each shareholder meeting at Rank 1 pays out like 3 million yen, pretty solid. I made tons in save/reload Poker in the hidden bathroom Casino as well, Texas Hold'em doesn't take too long to learn and it's pretty fun but hard to get epic hands - amazing when you do. Royal Flush is the peak of luck, some supernatural level luck.
Did i miss something or does this game completely lack a tutorial or even an explanation of rock-paper-scissors mechanic? I saw the symbol which i read as rock-paper-scissors in the UI but i had no idea how to apply it. The whole fight is very overwhelming during first time with timers and stuff.
I prefer this than Yakuza 0 Real Estate Royale. In Yakuza 7 I only need to spend few hours maybe 3-4 to complete the minigame. In Yakuza 0 oh man it's as if it was separated game. First 3 Was easy and fast as I progress to end it became super grinding and time consuming. Yes the money I gained is way way higher for some reason Japanese people back in 80s are rich in game meanwhile Y7 is poor. Oh I started the minigame as soon I got it.
Whoever the shareholders "lock onto," will take damage if the shareholder isn't convinced. They'll take damage based on the shareholder's persuasiveness and this can potentially knock your employee out of commission if you're not careful.
Honestly even with this guide I STILL don't want to do this mode. Been enjoying the game so much and made it to chapter 13 (where I need to get 3 million yen) and I know that this mode is a good way to get money.... But I find it so overwhelming, agitating and unnecessarily complicated. I just got into this series after playing through Yakuza 0 (100% the property mode) and kiwami 1 then I get to this great game and the mechanics of this mode just sours it so much for me...
If you're not into it, you can just coast through and complete it without thinking too much. You can still finish it without even really knowing what you're doing. Learning all the aspects of the game are just meant to make the experience more enjoyable, not bog you down.
Yeah I liked the cabaret mini games from the earlier titles but this one basically broke my momentum on this game and caused me to stop playing for awhile. I had a similar experience with final fantasy x when I got to the blitzball tutorial.
Fantastic video, thank you so much. It would have been helpful to pause and go over some things like where it says "counter chance up". The first time around, it's kind of confusing and hard to see the text. Nevertheless, you have got my approval rating over 50% sir I will be giving you a thumbs up.
DONT USE AUTOCARE care manually! I’ve noticed auto care would hike the price about 4 million yen more than if I was to do it manually with my high level employees

I love this game however my advice would be just play it. You’ll pick up the nuances as you go and to be honest it’s hardest at the start. As you get better staff you’ll end up destroying these meetings easily. Only reason I don’t keep playing it now is because end dungeons makes many times more than this.
Bro I fired everyone I could bc it was red on employees. I have no idea what I’m doing. Some of those employees were told to and I can’t get them back??!
Thanks a lot man. I don't think the game explained it very good and the mini-game is rapid so you have no time to learn it as you go. I did the first meeting without watching this and I failed miserably lol.
Everyone, all you need to hire is the monkey. It's a zoo substory you complete in the park. The monkey will destroy all shareholders no sweat, promote the monkey's management skill as you run the business and you'll do just fine. No need to do any rock scissors thing either. The monkey is op, kinda like moonveil in Elden Ring.
I hope Its not yet late put someone in your board the lower the command as much as possible Hanayama (substory 18) is the best there and those starting 3 old bags remember Green>Blue>Red vice versa it will break the shield in one shot, dont spam attack if the share holder is Green attack her/him only with RED spam
Thank you so much. The games "tutorial" was dog shit and I panicked during my first shareholders meeting, dropping my rank to 170. Hopefully this guide will help me rise up!
@@ChillKaijuClan I think the most useful 0 guide you can do is how to farm money by taking on Mr Shakedown. Honestly, the real estate and cabaret do not generate high enough money in comparison. The main things to prepare for when at a low level is to have the enemy encounter finder, preparing with stamina xxs, having appropriate counter moves/heat actions, familiarising with attack patterns and spam weapon/environmental object heat attacks.
Hire the ape from the zoo substory you complete in the park. The ape is op - it's like having an Oppressor Mk2 in GTA or Moonveil in Elden Ring. Shareholders will be too easy to destroy with the ape.

Red can beat green
Green can beat blue
Blue can beat red
If you broke the argument, attack em by looking at which color their icons are.
Works the same as argument colors.

its also shown in the color wheel
it also says "WEAK" ontop of the character you choose when you switch them around, telling you who takes down their defences instantly
This helped, i didn't know how to counter them until you pointed out that the little icon things tell you which ones you can counter with.
all you need are a chicken, old lady and a really persuasive person.
If this isn't a haiku, it should be.
That chicken is so strong

This minigame feels like it was designed by literal aliens. I've never encountered such an inscrutable piece of shit minigame in my life.

what do I know about any thing right of course you bring a chicken and a giant vacuum to a bord meeting
180k for a chicken is a bargin for how cute omlit is

Damn. I never noticed the color bubbles on the side. I just always base the employee I use with the highest persuasiveness. Geez. Thanks for this!
the chicken is a senior director I love this game
Bring one of each colour. Check the bottom left of the speech bubble. If it says "weak," that's the character you should use.
