Hi both me and my friend that purchase the mini bumbag on the laught date direct from Louis Vuitton and both have 13 stiches so dont make people worry that they have got a fake bag direct from Louis Vuitton 🙏🏻
Hi. I didn’t say it was fake but I do think it has inconsistencies with the product displayed online. And there are obviously quality issues. As a long time LV buyer stitching matter.
Yeah I looked at a ton online, some had 13, some 14. Maybe they did it to throw counterfeits off. Not a big deal the only way it would be is if only one was off, like that, but if you have a lot 13, or 14, it's probably normal
@@Tussna-gb7yc I didn’t notice that but I was going crossed-eyed trying to count all the stitches on all these bags. I think if you’re happy with your bags then I wouldn’t worry about the inconsistencies.
There are 14 stitches on mine. I received the mini bum bag this week. I have the OG bum bag but I’m considering returning the mini. It’s so small and with my 5’6 height it falls right underneath my breast. I’m so torn because it’s super cute
@@leilarose981 LV is known for traits that are right down to the stitching. Always have been…, did they change that? I don’t know but why would they produce such a mere inconsistency. I am curious to know where the 14s are made - my 13 was made in Italy.
@@ShrinkingRutz there was a very small window of opportunity today to pre order this mini bumbag. Maybe those made in France or USA are made with 14 stitches idk.
I just found this video now. I had ordered the bag from a seller in Australia but the front pocket was sooo crooked. She had her husband open it and send me the pics as she was out of town. I ordered it from Australia because US/Canada was sold out but they weren’t. I made a post about how bad the pocket was and someone pointed out there was only 13 stitches and it should have 14. So then I wondered if the bag she got for me was a fake. I found another seller in Canada who sold me hers for a couple hundred over retail and it has 14 stitches. After I bought it from her my SA was able to find me one and it too had 14 stitches. I don’t think the seller in Australia showed me a fake because I saw so many crooked issues with this bag. The stitch count had to be miscommunication between factories. Weird.
The person who stitched your bag started sewing a little bit farther in from the edge. It is obvious if you look at the lenght of the thread and the leather flap. Stitching is bad quality with stitch length varying greatly. I always check the stitching on bags and clothes.
It's weird I'm waiting for mine now. I ordered from lv online. But i just looked at some for sale on ebay, some had 13, some 14, and they're all made in Italy
With Louis Vuitton we have always been about the stitching and the date codes and just have those, if you will, “old-school” Louis Vuitton mentality so its natural to always look for those things. It’s important to you if you’re a veteran Louis Vuitton fan of their products so of course it would be natural for us to look for these things. I am glad that I sent mine back and maybe one day I’ll get lucky and get one that is good with no quality issues but they are out in the world with inconsistencies which isn’t like the brand.

@@erickanew Just not typical of LV.
on Lv own picture on the website some has 14 and on one picture the bag has 15 stiches 💭

It’s definitely a cutie! Congratulations sounds like you scored a good one!
My I ask where your 14 stitch mini was made?
Maybe those made in Italy was made with only 13 stitches

@@HandbagDiva Yes I agree. I repurchased directly from LV and the one I currently own has 23 stitches.
Is the date code supposed to be month or date first with the microchip?
@@thanhhaicong6876 I am not sure, I believe it’s serial number. You have to have an NFC app to scan it.
My stitch is cut off, but it was the only one i could exchange. The first one the flower was cut off.
I’ve heard that LV makes small changes on the website because of counterfeiters.
@@Honeygold31 wow -I’ve never heard that…., that strategy would be helpful to know.

Yes. I had two spaces on each end more than the bags with 14 stitches.

The one I had was made in Italy. My goodness I always wanted Italy made now with this I’m not so sure.
@ShrinkingRutz I just saw a video of a fake mini bum bag & it had 14 stitches. LV is probably making it with 13 or 14 to throw off counterfeiting
@@erickanew At the end of the day if it is purchased from LV all should be good. But I would keep receipts (proof of purchase).
Wow~ 👍❤❤❤⚘
I purchased my bag from the LV boutique and it has 13 stitches.
Enjoy! It’s a cutie!
I thought the same thing about the stitches when I watched your video 😬. Mine has 14.

I don’t really get why the count of stitches matter. It might just depend on where it’s made. Relax
Traditionally it mattered but now that LV has a different ways of authenticating items it may not as much anymore. Back in the day those mattered.
Please remember, these are hand made. 🤷🏻♀️
I do. Please remember that we are speaking of a luxury brand.
