    I love ❤️ Ruth Pointer, she is not only a very beautiful lady, she is very funny, and love ❤️ her low voice, singing Neutron Dance and Automatic. Love ❤️ all the Pointer Sisters, they are very beautiful ladies, dynamic and high energy, great harmonies, great singers. Congrats to Ruth keeping the legacy going with her daughter and grand daughter. R.I.P. June, Bonnie and Anita.🙏🙏🙏💙🥰

    Ruth Pointer and Barry Gibb have very eerie similarities. Both were the oldest siblings with three younger siblings of the same gender also in music. All of the younger siblings died sooner (with the youngest dying the soonest in each case, June and Andy), with the oldest sibling outliving ALL three of the younger siblings.
    Ironically, the deepest voiced woman and the highest-pitched falsetto man have so many other similarities. Truly eerie, like a yin-yang of sorts.
    Ruth Pointer and Barry Gibb should do duets, in the form of joint tributes to all the younger siblings that have passed.

    Hey Ruth Pointer....you're still beautiful and still as exciting as the first time I heard of the Pointer Sisters
    in the early '70s when you were singing in Georgetown/Washington, D.C. What an amazing family.
    I know they LOVED you at the Grand Ole Opry!

    When they first started singing/recording, they sang jazz and '40s nostalgia songs. Only later did they turn to pop.

      There very first hit was called, " Yes We Can, Can" , which was sampled by rap artists and I believe it was also part of Barak Obama's campaign song!

    I would love to read a book written by sister Anita. Ruth exposed a lot of her demons in this book with some funny comments throughout, but she wrote nothing good about June and for that I give her book a thumbs down.

      June suffered from Depression and drug addiction; but was a Good person who did a lot for the Group & others. Guess Ruth only Focused on the Negative things about her which is very unfair.

      @Tanisha Mcclendon I can't find any comment that said she was "wrong!" including mine. It was Ruth's story to tell as she saw and lived it, but it is the readers right to comment on her book according to our understanding and interpretation of what she wrote. Simply put, she wrote nothing positive about June in her book and it was loaded with June's demons. Good for sales I guess! I don't disbelieve anything she wrote and some parts of the book were hilariously funny, but there must have been something good to write about June. Thankfully my wish came through in Anita's book. Same sister, same problems, but Anita's book was fair and balanced.

    • @orane3549
      @orane3549 3 года назад

      @Tanisha Mcclendon Your point is well taken. It's just that when I read Ruth's book and saw that nearly a third of the book was devoted to June, but I couldn't find a single good thing written about her, as a fan of the sisters and their wonderful music, I honestly felt hurt (no lie) and believed this was Ruth's chance to settle a score with the most admired sister in the group (IMO,) knowing she could not defend herself. Every fan has a special liking for each sister, but I believe if a survey was done, June would come out on top. Again, just my opinion.

      She did not want to write about them unless they all agreed on the story being told, even when it came to their late sister June's memory.

      @@orane3549 Well, it seems we are responding to each other a year apart. I've heard about Ruth's book and from the comments I've heard, they were all unfavorable and I even heard comments on how Ruth viewed Bonnie as well. I finally broke down and ordered the book to see exactly what everyone has been saying in the last two years. If I don't hear from you until 2023, if the Lord is willing, I will await your response and give you a take on my perception of " Still Excited".

I refused to buy it and borrowed it from the local library. However I bought "Fairytales!" by Anita and Fritz Pointer the day it was released and it's a perfect keepsake. Hope you have read that as well. Your turn sir............ 🤣🤣🤣
