  • Our hike to Phraya Nakhon Cave near Hua Hin Thailand didn't go quite as planned... But even with an unexpected change in plans, the whole family made it to see the pavilion in the cave! We highly recommend this adventurous day hike, if your health will allow it. It's just a 50-minute drive from Hua Hin center.

    Langurs are cool. They are chill and hilarious. Like golden Labradors compared to the pit bull that are macaques. You'd be blessed to encounter langurs in the wild.

    Hi. Is it also nearby the Lotus Lake you went to?

      Yes, you can visit both on the same day if you start early enough.

      You can do it! The hardest part is when you are almost to the top. It felt like my heart was beating out of my chest. But our 3 year old managed fine and our 8 year old would have run half way up if I didn't keep telling him to conserve his energy. Have fun! 🌺 Heidi

    Sorry if this has been covered in previous videos, but what has your strategy been so far for educating and socializing your two oldest kids while moving from place to place? They seem really well-adjusted, but I was curious if you ever have concerns about them not being able to make longterm friendships growing up, and if so, what you do to mitigate that?

      Hi, no worries. It is a common question that we get. If you haven't already please watch this video about and interview with another traveling family and international schooling. ruclips.net/video/hYfeyKqkHww/видео.html
      We don't know what their future will be but we don't really have any concerns as our children are always happy to talk to new kids as they meet them. Also, since we live in the digital age, they keep in touch with their friends and family members via skype and other forms of social media. So yes, they do miss friends but they've learned how to interact with others and be social. I think that is the key and fortunately for us, it has come naturally for them since they have lived abroad for a good portion of their lives. I'm not certain I am answering your question so feel free to elaborate.

      @@KenshoQuest Thanks so much for the reply! I'll check out that video you linked.
      That's really great to hear. Though we're originally from the US, my wife, son (who turns 9 this month), and I have been living in Tokyo for the past 5 years. I'm in the process of transitioning to a career where I may be able to work remotely, and we've gotten really interested the idea of slow traveling as family in the near future.

      Hi Kit, we're excited for you and your family. You are already doing it by living in Japan. And what a great place to start! Also, pre-pandemic there were meetup groups of world-schoolers and others. I'm sure those will be meeting up again soon. Just another great way to meet like minded people too. Good luck on your career transition.

    Is the Phraya Nakhon cave creepy inside?
    Planning to visit but afraid of dark and snakes 😂

    • @KenshoQuest
      @KenshoQuest  2 года назад +1

      It's not very dark. There is just a small passageway that's dark before you enter the center, where the sun shines in 🌞. You could bring a flashlight just in case. 🌺 Heidi
