    Thanks so much George on the Coles Notes-esque video on essential words and phrases! I added them to my translator app as favourites so I can reference them easily. This will certainly come in handy when I head to Tokyo first week on November. I’ve watched many of your videos to help me prepare for my upcoming trip (first time to Tokyo and hopefully not the last). Keep up the great content George and Heidi! All the best!

    This is quite a random question but… can you walk around with your coffee/drink? Like if your window shopping and get a coffee, should I finish it before leaving where I got it?

    • @KenshoQuest
      @KenshoQuest  4 месяца назад +2

      Most people finish food/drinks where they bought them. It’s less likely to spill it on someone that way.

    If you're just going as a tourist the important word is onegaishimasu.
    Kudasai is supposed to go with another word- the something you actually want and you're supposed to know what to call it. It requires vocabulary.
    Onegaishimasu can just be used standalone.
    blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
    y/n?
    y
    And once they do what they're doing you can infer what the blah blah blah is and maybe say daijoubu next time instead.
    Or if it's immediately obvious you told them the wrong thing, then you get to use the trifecta.... onegaishimasu.... aaa... sumimasen, daijoubu desu!

      Hi, without knowing someone it can be hard. But you might want to check both VRBO and airbnb as they might be the easiest. Otherwise, there are apartment rental websites, but do note that for most places you need to pay extra fees to rent compared to most countries.

    But with "te form" and objects kudasai is always better right?
    Ex: "Camera o mitte kudasai" or "Tasukete kudasai" correct?

    • @KenshoQuest
      @KenshoQuest  5 месяцев назад +1

      correct, always use kudasai with te form.

      Hi, it works on both iPhone and Android. I agree with a lot of the reviews. The device is great for directions and using at places like at restaurants but for actual conversations, the translation can be slow. Hopefully, this will be improved.

    Ha it was funny when you gave her the detailed directions and she just let you go on and on and then pulled out the translator and asked you to repeat it all over again.
