If you're going to do this and want to dual boot Windows and Linux, you're in for a ride. Just make sure you have a backup of your data first. You also want to turn off BitLocker in Windows before wiping the TPM - if you don't, your Windows disk will be nonrecoverable.
@@inio true. BitLocker is a full disk encryption solution that's on by default for most installations. It keeps the encryption keys stored in the TPM, so if you wipe the TPM your keys are lost. The only solution then is to get the recovery code, but if you haven't already saved that somewhere, your data is permanently gone.

i3 is x11.
@@Emancipatriot that does not answer my question...
@@daniellaurin9566 he probably has covered i3 at some point.
How do I get the same bar on top as you mine look really simple and scrolled through all options and there’s nothing like the one you have
very professional indeed, just by looking at the thumbnail with its anime character, i can say it's very professional... ...if you work in anime production...
My install scripts interrupted when it's patching theme, what can i do now?
So.. is this a New desktop enviroment? OR Another altered version of KDE? I like the way it looks I'm actually going to try it out on a vm.
I'm just curious, yes I know there is documents.
its a dynamic tiling window manager with modern looks.
I followed every steps you showed but am facing an error continuously and that is when am logging in am continuously being promoted to the login screen even if I give the correct password
same for me, i use Candy maybe with corners this Glitch is solved
@@albertojoya7420glitch will solve, and to force enter press ctrl+alt f1, or f2,f3 to enter in tty and type Hyprdots
Hi. I've heard that it's really hard to use Wayland with an nvidia gpu. How did you get it working so well?
thanks to the unofficial Hyprland Nvidia Patch only for arch.
Here is the link: wiki.hyprland.org/Nvidia/
It really depends on your hardware config, some combinations work just fine, some not at all, even with the patch.
@@no-prophetI have always used arch+hyprland on multiple machines including a little Chromebook
Could you please tell which one is better and stable hyprland (other one I am talking about is one of your previous videos)?
Asahi Linux + HYprland.
Nice ! although, is not for the average user , this is for a LVL 35 boss user
Yes it is.
I'm always looking for nice desktop wallpapers - what's your resource?
Here is the source to the wallpapers: github.com/prasanthrangan/hyprdots/tree/main/Configs/.config/swww
Can i install it my pre-existing Arch with GNOME Desktop Environment aside?
Yes you can. But it would be better if you go with Clean installation.
I'm newbie in Linux installation andI wonder know why in my case, status bar always disappear 🙁
my 15year old thinkpad is gonna look so good
I actually dualbooted windows and arch with some steps done from your dualboot video and then continued the final install by aechinstall, everything was fine but now after reboot, there is just grub commandline , what to do? Also after manually booting into arch Linux drive partition from boot menu of laptop , it just says nmcli command not found or something
Please help , I'm also unable to boot into windows now as it just crashes to blue screen
Was almost dual booting but all videos just show formatting a full drive.... By dual boot you mean both OSs same drive?
so mainly this is only for dkms nvidia hardware or will it work with out modifiying if using amd rigs?
I think it work better with NVIDIA. for more information you can see dev instructions: github.com/prasanthrangan/hyprdots
Insane
Its so cool, if i desactivate the animations main+alt+G, is more faster right? Because i only have 8 gb of ram and an hdd and sometimes is slow or just freeze the screen
Yes you can do that.
I have a problem, hyperland and grimblast packages failed to download and then failed to build. I tried to re-install but it gave me the same result. I tried to find a solution to the problem, but whatever I found sounded so difficult or didn't really relate to my problem. What should I do? Somehow delete the hyprdots already installed and re-install? Or try again, or is there a problem with the packages. Heellppppppp
Are you trying this on top Arch Linux ??
Also follow my other video Installing Hyprland Manually:

@@kskroyaltechDon't know what top Arch Linux is, but I installed it using this video. I am knew to linux, never had any experience with linux before and I know that arch is for advanced users but I just liked it for some reason and decided to get it. I already solved it btw.
Modern maybe, but I'm not getting anything professional out of this. After tinkering with this for two hours just trying to get my mouse cursor to appear, I gave up and went back to X11. I'm assuming that hyprland has a ways to go.
Just wanted to point out that screen sharing works out of the box with the @prasanthrangan installation script.
How can i test it?.... Do. You mean screen sharing in apps like discord
The login fails on the login screen but the password I am putting is not wrong as I can login into the same user with same password in tty. What is the problem?
Same problem
Hola amigo, buen video. Quería preguntarte si crees que funcionará en mi portátil con un i5 8365u y sus gráficos UHD 620 integrados, ya que veo que se requiere una tarjeta gráfica Nvidia.
@TherranCL muchas gracias bro
si amigo, yo lo tengo instalado en un portatil con i5 de 5 generacion y va como la seda, es muy ligera
I tried installing the scripts 3 times; each time it says errot: target not found. Any clue why?
wallpaper link? or maybe i am just ignorant to check and they are in the video description? thanks regardless!
hey man, for some reason he doesn’t link it in this video but if you go to his endeavor os video showing hyprdots he links the wallpapers in the description
Bro please make tutorial Installing bspwm or awesome to arch. With waybar
Do you use external monitor? Its a pain to get NVIDIA work with Wayland
No I dont. See this documentation: wiki.hyprland.org/Configuring/Monitors/
Could you please tell how did you connect to your arch installation via SSH from your Mac?
Make sure your Arch Linux is connected to internet.
And install this package:
sudo pacman -S openssh
sudo systemctl start sshd
sudo systemctl enable sshd
then type *passwd* and set a password for the root user.
Then find the ip address of Arch with the below command.
*ip a*
look for the network interface with associated IP Address.
Then on remote computer use this pattern to connect to Arch VIA SSH...
*ssh root@IPADRESS*
Thank you! 🔥
Thanks man. Although archinstall gives errors when selecting btrfs. It's my 4th try🎉
Try with EXT4 then
@@kskroyaltech i had installed it with ext4. A video on how to setup snapshots will be appreciated (with ext4). Thank you 😊
Is there a way to configure the keyboard to ABNT2? I tried and couldn’t manage it; I’m new to Linux.
all the windows open up way to big and the terminal closes straight away (virtualbox)
If you're going to do this and want to dual boot Windows and Linux, you're in for a ride. Just make sure you have a backup of your data first. You also want to turn off BitLocker in Windows before wiping the TPM - if you don't, your Windows disk will be nonrecoverable.
Is that true or making jokes?
@@inio true. BitLocker is a full disk encryption solution that's on by default for most installations. It keeps the encryption keys stored in the TPM, so if you wipe the TPM your keys are lost. The only solution then is to get the recovery code, but if you haven't already saved that somewhere, your data is permanently gone.
@@davidyoder5890 Yeah it's not finding the grub configuration for windows for me. I think windows is still installed though, so is there any way to get it?
@@PlzRefrain to recover Windows you'll need to boot your computer with a Windows install disk. Once click "Start installation", press shift+F10 to open a terminal. From here, you can try these in order:
1) "bootrec /fixboot" to fix the boot process, but it grub has overwritten the Windows bootmgr, it won't work.
2) "bootrec /rebuildbcd" to try rebuilding a damaged bootmgr - but it the above command failed, this one probably will too.
3) "bcdboot C:\Windows" to completely rewrite a new bootmgr.
Thank u very much man!
After installation its only gnome, i don't know what went wrong.
