- Is anybody else loving gen:LOCK as much as I am? The music is so great, the action is great, everything is just so great! It’s definitely going on my list of favorite shows.
All the lyrics here are the official lyrics provided by Battle Tapes. Yes, even the part that says "Seventeen wasn't all the easy." I know it sounds like he's saying "that," but he confirmed for me that he is saying "the."

Randomly stumbling back upon this reminding me of how much I loved season one… and the pain of reminding myself never to watch season two.
Apparently they tried to make it “adult”. I think I recall someone saying there was a sex scene followed by a main character committing suicide. The kind of “ruin the plot and story to make it more edgy” type of awful. I’ve refused to watch it to avoid tainting my memories of season 1.
It's definitely very unfortunate. I've avoided watching it despite having access to my parents HBO Max account.
Totally forgot that it got renewed on HBO Max instead. Wonder if that was the main reason for it crashing and burning or if it was doomed to ruin itself regardless.

I mean, if you go to their Spotify, the top section says in massive letters "Here for gen:LOCK?" and then has Belgrade listed. I don't think they're that confused.

Gray tweeted in October 2016 that he was using this very track as writing music! They then used it in the first announcement teaser at RTX 2017.

This song is not only pretty catchy and give a sense of hype for the next chapter. But when you acquantieced with TWO chapters already, this OP's lyrics also gives you some insight about the protagonists, the antagonists and what is going on in the series.

Unlike other RT series intros, Belgrade wasn't made for gen:LOCK, and actually predates it, so any lyrical relations to the show is RT writing them that way, not Battle Tapes having insider knowledge.
Yeah this song was long before genlock, battle tapes songs are just very suitable for the theam

Back again to this song, five years later. Lamenting over what could've been for one of hte hypest shows out of Rooster Teeth won't get me anywhere, and I can only rewatch the first season so much... But I can listen to this song over and over. See that fire ass opening in my head, dream of the struggles and moments that could've been.

I only wish the show wasn't FIRST exclusive but from seeing the cast it is understandable.

I think it's more the content. Language more than anything. Cammie has a bit of a mouth on her and RUclips tends to not like that
also, if you don't mind it, you can watch Reaction videos to each episode. channels like MurderofBirds have been posting their reactions to each episode so far on youtube (one week after the FIRST premier, so episode four will probably be on Murder's channel this coming sunday), so you can watch it all there, you'll just also have to watch Arnold screaming.
It's not first exclusive only the latest episode is they become free a week after launch on their website

I can only recommend it. Even though RWBY is still my favorite RT show, some of the RvB moments are better then anything RWBY has ever done. And if nothing else, it just shows how far has Rooster Teeth come as company.

Honestly, after all the drama involving Volumes 6, 7, and 8 of RWBY, gen:LOCK honestly wasn't that bad.
I still think RWBY is my favorite RT show, but GenLock is also pretty badass
But last half of season 6 was god awful and season 5 wasn't too great

I feel that all of rooster-teeths time, effort and money have all gone into gen-lock. Rwby ain't been the same since Monty's passing.

@@FoxDemonMaster I was done after ep 3 and would rather just ignore the show until all episodes are out. Just so I can binge watch it later without having to keep waiting every week on what happens next. As the main story doesn’t even peak my interest at this point anymore.
⚠️ SPOILER INFO⚠️ :I was disappointed that the union is nothing more than a bunch of cultists that perform self sacrifices just so they can enter heaven. I thought they were like some kind of mercenary faction stealing resources and technology for world domination. The union could have been something as simple as a rogue American army that wants to destabilize all forms of government and their reason for doing would be bcuz they want to start all over for the whole world.
What a let down in my opinion. If ppl still enjoy it than I guess that’s good for them but as for me I’m done with that show. The characters are bland and the show feels as if though they skipped like 3 or 4 seasons with the way the story is going.

Even though really simple I love the beginning with the image cutting in with the beat and then the flash towards to main segment. Hype.

This is such a kick ass song!..I saw teasers from the series, and click adds showing the all star cast. They made it look really stupid. I didn't bother with it, then I saw it floating around yesterday and thought. Bugger it, will give it a look. Well, we were pleasantly surprised....me and a mate binged all 7 episodes in one sitting!...was really impressed!, this is quite a awesome show with such a cool soundtrack. I hope it gets a second season..bring on the season finale!!.

Has enough time passed for me to say, "I miss Gen:lock?" Now, the stuff that had to happen to get Gen:lock, not so much, so I certainly don't mind them taking their time if that's what they're doing. But at this point I've heard about as much news about a second season as I have season 2 of Nomad of Nowhere, which is to say "F" and "all," so I'm kind of thinking the show might be dead.

The opening is my jam XD I started headbanging while watching episode 8 today during lunch, got some weird stares and people asking "is that gundam?" I fucking love Cammie McCloud, her accent, foul mouth and her bunny mech. the chemistry between chase and Yasamin is nice aswell (yes i looked up those names on the wiki. you barely hear any names aside from kazu and chase)

Yes it is. The sometimes lower frame rate can be distracting at the start but I personally got used to it after like 10 minutes.
It is SO good. I actually got my ma to watch it and she HATES cartoons but she LOVES this show.
I'll admit that it has its problems (for example, most characters are kinda flat so far), but it's still really fun, intense and engaging! Sounds definitely recommend!

Gen:lock is really good. It is very different from RWBY, obviously it is on Earth, but it also has action every episode so far (episode 4). They also pulled a volume 3 in episode 1.

Man it really sucks that Gen:LOCK got cancelled that show was awesome and had a lot of potential. I really liked all the stuff about copies of people living on as AI and really wanted to learn more about the Union, beyond the fact that they use WMD grade Nanotech.
Did it get canceled? I haven't heard that news yet. Where can I find it?
@@noox13 It was not canceled, they just have not announced an release date for season two yet, which makes sense since they are busy with the Atlas arc of RWBY currently. My guess is that we get season 2 in 2021 or 2022.
