- The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion presented by Michelin attracts some of the rarest cars and gives some 550 owners the chance to compete in their vintage race cars against cars from the same era and class. It’s the only place in the world where you can expect to see a $40 millon 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO square-off against a 1960 Chevrolet Corvette.
While the largest chunk of cars participating will be sports cars and prototypes from the 1960s and 1970s, there is tremendous variety. Get there early enough, and you can see cars from Pre-1940 battle it out on Laguna Seca’s famed corkscrew turn, sporting wooden wheels that flex and groan over bumps and through corners.

That Gulf Porsche 917 is the epitome of true race car. Blue paint with orange stripe is iconic.

i go to this event almost every year and i love it. 100$ per ticket is a bit expensive but where else are you going to see a ferrari 250gto
Goodwood three times a year, even saw one crashing in a race.
There are races with 15 of them in it, so this is here is peanuts compared to Goodwood.
roywhiteo5 Disneyland is currently $120.00.............. So this is kinda of a bargain for grown ups.........
Roy, join SCCA and volunteer in Timing and Scoring. Great people , great fun, you get in free, and you can go places fans can't. I did it for years before I moved from the Bay Area, and I miss it a lot.

Goodwood revival, has Ferrari F250's and Corvette's racing together, along side GT40's, DB4's and many others.
neil1150 Of course, but instead of driving from the Bay Area for half a tank of gas, he could fly to London, make his way to Goodwood, fork over some serious change for hotel rooms then reverse his trip. So yea Goodwood is great. But from his perspective, this event is just about all there is.

The roll bar on that #4 white car is so tiny.
this is the classes i play alot in my GT Legends game..its quite fun (sadly mostly European tracks)..there are addons for cars and tracks tho

Super dull racing! Not a patch on the classic racing at Goodwood, where they really push the cars and often make contact!

The Chevrons could be such beautiful cars if they had made the rear just a tiny bit less ugly. I could name 20 tanks with a prettier rear right away!
For 30 grand you can buy a Lola T70 body an chassis kit car.

Where did they say 60 Corvette? There is a '69 Corvette in this race. The red white and blue #78.

Caleb Davidhizar , Oh that is a description of the whole event (The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion) not this particular video. Notice it also says 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO which isn't in this particular video either. I think the description is a copy/paste from the 4 hour video that this segment was a part of.
