How on earth have you left out the individual try he scored away @ Saracens in the Premiership Cup loss? Kick return from beyond LI ten-metre line. Palming off Itoje in the process.
Premiership DoR's are quite risk adverse due to the competiveness of the league and Irish have a very good full back in his early twenties who at this time better under the high ball which is quite prevelant in the premiership, they are also blessed with quality wingers so game starts are hard to come by. Irish are managing his development by bringing him on later in games to use his strengths against tiring defences while getting game experience.

I assume he's talking to his co-commentator when he says that; they have sheets of paper with statistics and data so it does not have to be memorised to make commentating easier, by saying 'write it down' he means to make a note that they need to keep an eye out for him in the future, as commentators.
If we write his name down, then we can read that name, when he's announced in the Scottish lineup, and say, there's that English bloke who got capped as a plastic sweaty

This boy is the real deal and is streets ahead of Steward. Get him in now. Same with Radwan. Both these kids should be in the England squad. Steward is like Jonathan webb, very little creativity, and when you're in a WC final you need guys like Arundell, Radwan and Smith....no room for plodders as South Africa taught us in the last final (or lightweight forwards)
Steward is world class in the air and a big attacking threat on the gainline. No need for Arundell to displace him at 15 when he can play so well on the wing too. Imagine a wing pairing of Ollie H-C and Arundell! As for Radwan, he's not test level. At least not at the moment. Eddie Jones and Steve Borthwick seem to agree on that. He's been nowhere for Newcastle and can't defend. Arundell and OHC can, for example.

@@attackpatterndelta8949 Indeed, but not many of them have much in the way of punch or step to get over the gain line. Historically Manu has been a 13, but like you alluded to, a paucity of candidates for inside centre has led to him being used as a banger at 12.
I went to primary school with him
How on earth have you left out the individual try he scored away @ Saracens in the Premiership Cup loss? Kick return from beyond LI ten-metre line. Palming off Itoje in the process.
ruclips.net/video/OZom5FOzYDA/видео.html - check this out...
Why is he not starting consistently for Irish?
Premiership DoR's are quite risk adverse due to the competiveness of the league and Irish have a very good full back in his early twenties who at this time better under the high ball which is quite prevelant in the premiership, they are also blessed with quality wingers so game starts are hard to come by. Irish are managing his development by bringing him on later in games to use his strengths against tiring defences while getting game experience.
Really wish as a rugby community we’d stop referring to young talent as ‘wonder kids’ or ‘the next star’. It invariably ruins any chances they have of making it in any meaningful way
The lads quick, and clearly has a great rugby brain. He needs some serious polish if he’s going to make it - defensively he’s a bit of a revolving door currently, and core skills wise (even shown in the second clip) he sometimes fluffs his passes.
With the right space to grow he will be a gem
I can not wait until he goes on the tour of Australia, when the nine and ten will be under the strictest instructions from Eddie to hoof the ball away and never ever give him the ball....sigh....
That boy is special let’s not coach the talent out of him
For God's sake Jones, cap him before he get's snapped up by another country!
The kid looks like he's got it. Be good to see what he does against quality defending, though...
He looks like an Irishman to me! Are you sure his name isn't O'Arundell?
Born in England with English parents, raised in England, educated in England, played all his rugby in England, came through the England development pathway.
I can see why you might think he’s Irish 😏
EJ will wait another 7 years - and by that time he’s either over the top or playing for some other home nation. Or he’ll play him at prop or something.
Bold of you to assume Eddie Jones will still be in charge in 7 years lol
Eddie Jones is leaving after the next World Cup.
Needs a Toulon update to finish
Not only has he got electric pace he knows when to give the pass and when to dummy...
Reminds me a lot of lrz with better handling but not quite the pace
Why do the commentators insist we write down his name and keep the piece of paper? What good is that?
I assume he's talking to his co-commentator when he says that; they have sheets of paper with statistics and data so it does not have to be memorised to make commentating easier, by saying 'write it down' he means to make a note that they need to keep an eye out for him in the future, as commentators.
It is just an English idiom. Harking back to the old pen and paper days
If we write his name down, then we can read that name, when he's announced in the Scottish lineup, and say, there's that English bloke who got capped as a plastic sweaty
You need to calm down guys, it was just one try at the end of a match and defenders were all tired. So let's give it 6 months and see. Everyone in Connaught were going on mad for Hansons try against France which did have an element of luck. Let's give the look lad a few months.
Look at his legs... power
No point in calling this guy a prospect, he’s more than that already. Hope EJ continues to ignore him as he could win Ingerlund the tournament.
Contributes to ignore him ? The guy had played 1 game when the six nations squad was picked
This boy is the real deal and is streets ahead of Steward. Get him in now. Same with Radwan. Both these kids should be in the England squad. If they were from NZ they would already be fast tracked into the team, but England finds excuses not to promote talent.
This is hard to watch as a Tigers fan for two reasons 😂
1: half of this is vs Tigers
2: he is the only 15 in english rugby close to challenging Steward for the 15 shirt
Very much like Jason Robinson.
You've missed the greatest try we've ever seen a number 15 create. Where was the wonder try...?
Different competition m8
He's kinda fast
How odd that no Premiership club has made an acceptable offer to him since the death of London Irish. If he goes to a French club he will say goodbye to England caps.
🤦🏻♂️ leave him alone - just let him play
tell that to Squidge
Seems like on a clear 2 o 1 or 3 on 2, where the try line beckons that this young chap prefers to kick chase rather and maybe reap some potential glory rather than make the pass.
2:31 One of the dumbest things I've seen in a long long time
Why would he play for England when he can Qualify for Wales ?
lol
Poor opposition always makes some players look good. Watched the premiership cup final and Worcester defence had him sorted. Running sideways with no options. He may well be a good player in a few years but up against quality he’s not at the moment.
First touch of the ball in his first test match and he scores against multiple Australian defenders. He's 20. Give him some credit ffs.
too good for england, the coaches don't know how to coach him
Failure to put away a 2-on-1 is in his best moments.... 😂😂😂
Why the hate ? Pathetic
@@christiantopping4386 ThAt'S HaTEspEeCh!!! Yes, how dare I point out that a professional rugby player lacks a basic skill... No wonder English rugby sucks 🤣😂
@@alex_yates you need a hobby mate
@@alex_yates you’re from Wales behave
Doesn't he Qualify for Wales and Scotland too?! What makes you sure he'll pick England?
BTW, his try was good, but it wasn't as good as people make out, in terms of defence, the entire field was a broken mess.
What he did was very impressive, the gas and the actually movement to create the space was world class
Ofcourse the field was broken up he wasn't just going to run through everybody it isn't under13s rugby
Bro if your talking about his try this weekend then bro the quality he showed and the way he moved was insane. And he ain’t going to run through the entire team like u7s
The length of the field try he scored was actually very good. He had to make a few corrections right at the end which shows fitness, skill and agility is very high
Coz nobody wants to lose to Italy... ;-)
@@squidandchips But they do like winning titles do they not? And last time I checked Wales and England are on 39 each! So... why act like England are the All Blacks or Boks?
Have we conviently forgot about Wales' titles in order to suit a certain narrative? Italy has beaten Wales once in Wales! Is that the end of the world? NO!
Come back with that comment when England has only a few hundred players to pick from. Not Thousands!
His thighs are huge for a 19 year old lol
😂😂😂
Heeerrrreee we go overhyping another youngster, stop jinxing them fam you're dooming them to failure
he's only a chap
Media overating a player again
Scottish qualified?, Tonney get him on board now.
Laugh my head off if he chose Wales or Scotland. The English will not be happy chappies!
Wales and Scotland always have to rely on stealing english players. Typical
@@taffyducks544 I think it's outrageous that playing for LI doesn't qualify a fella for Ireland! ;)
@@christiantopping4386 hook, line, and sinker!!
Hes better than Freddie! If you dont think so. Ask yourself wheather or not f
Stewart can do any of this. Arundell will sadly end up with Scotland or wales. Because they WILL Pick him now, and not come up with some "but but Freddie is 100kgs" BS. Arundell is dangerous, Freddie isnt
Freddie is fantastic unfer the high ball and defensively, arundel is lighting quick and more agile whilst still being powerful. The deciding factor is how much pace you need and what game plan you're using!
@@georgemacky5609 and thats the problem with you and english selectors. Freddie isnt good at anything, that Aurendell isnt good at or cant work at.
Just one question. Do you think the All Blacks picked will Jordan for his tackling and high Ball? Or because they knew can terrorise defenses?
@@georgerichter3930 some players cannot defend, despite training, some players are better under the high ball, despite training. If you honestly think Arundell will grow to be better than steward at these facets of the game fair enough, but you're probably wrong, as steward is genuinely incredibly good at securing high balls, and has the size and agility to make those final tackles. Arundells pace means he could do well on the wing, but doesn't automatically make him an incredible fullback (although undoubtedly is at only 19). Last year the paceman everyone was talking about was Radwan, is he slower/faster/better/worse than Arundell? I don't know, but either way he won't get picked for England unless he starts defending strongly, Ashton was dropped for this very reason, so was May originally before he worked on his game. Steward is a much more complete full back but I agree arundell definitely has more potential.
@@georgemacky5609 jonny May only really got game time under eddie, so we dont know if eddie wouldve picked him earlier.
Freddie may or may not tackle better, but i can tell you this: He is slow! Which means, how complete is he really when an average paced back or a really fast forward is going to outrun him 9/10.
Tackling can be improved, to suggest otherwise is silly, i mean you kindadisprovedyour own point with Jonny may having improved defensivelyso why cant Arundell?. And comparing him to Radawan is also silly because they play different positions.
Im not english. And until i saw Arundell, i thought the english didnt have an answer to Stuart Hogg or Will Jordan. Stewart doesnt make defenses adjust like Henry will soon.
P.S you didnt answer my question😉
@@georgemacky5609 He walzed passt Stewart in this video (1:08) 🤣🤣. He outshone him that game.
