Glad that she's been sanctioned, finally. It's sad when a Jewish person/woman engages in such horrid and r*cist behavior. I remember seeing Amy on Fox and calling others derogatory terms and thought nothing would happen to her (she's got all the protection, White, Jewish, female) so this news is rather pleasant surprise.
While some of her previous public comments have been a little, perhaps impetuously, impolitic - without being at all untrue - and so have engendered exaggerated and reflexive ripostes and frankly vitriolic condemnation from the left, she remains an admirably strong and thoughtful advocate for hard won western, authentically liberal, civilisation values and conservative philosophies derivative therefrom … Her final statements are really thought provoking
"an admirably strong and thoughtful advocate...for hard won civilisational values" - that she certainly is. Thank you for your comment and I'm glad you enjoyed hearing Professor Wax's thoughts!
Good interview. Perhaps I missed something though. I agree that like she said, there is only 20% of pop that can be top 20%. The problem is the compensation is hugely unfair as the curve between the top 20% and bottom 20% clearly demonstrates a large degree of 'unfairness'. Both sides would '.need' to, lets say, give a bit, which is not what happens. I did not hear any reference to that, other than I believe she mentioned complication in compensation that went not elaborated or I missed. LOL. Thanks. o
Thanks for your comment Diana. I think maybe Professor Wax was trying to address some of your point in part when she was stressing the need to rethink our assumptions about work and promote the dignity of Labour. Because there are differences in competencies there will always be a degree of inequality, but the question then is how much inequality do we tolerate in our societies? It might be an interesting topic of discussion for another podcast!
I like Dr. Amy Wax but if you are going to use Ayaan Hirsi Ali in the title she should also be in the interview. Deceptive. I hope Ayaan isn't going down the right wing social media rabbit hole but it seems like she is. Alas.
Her recent piece on abortion is deranged. The fall from grace for Ayaan is heartbreaking as she was once a voice of reason. I am deplored by the level of misinformation and lies presented in that Substack article.
Well, even if to put things like that you should want to know your enemy. At least for learn how she would throw you out from the country and how to prevent that.
Prof. Wax is a legendary American. Delighted to see her interviewed.
Whenever I see a new Amy Wax video, I click...
Good choice, glad you did!

An interesting interview that I had to listen to in its entirety in one sitting. Keep them coming.
Wax just might be my favorite jew. She's a national treasure
Excellent.
Sounds exactly like New Zealand education

Fascinating.

This woman hate people like me, why should I listen to someone who wants me out of the country?

I don't blame her one bit
