    Thank you so much for this video! Wanted to let you know - I was watching this vid at work (shh it was on my lunch break) and I wanted to look up your channel on my phone so I could subscribe, and it was bizarrely difficult to find via search on mobile for some reason. Obviously I did eventually find it, but possibly adding a second word after Joanne to the channel name might help? I searched "Joanne skincare" and didn't find you until I added more search terms

      Yes, I’ve heard that as well! This is likely due to the healing effect on the dermis. I’m considering trying it 2 more times before I try IPL

    i just got the Secret RF treatment and V laser combined at a clinic in South Korea (only because I live in Seoul) for about $170 😭😭 Why is it so insane in the states. I saw this video because I was interested in how other people were reacting as everyone at rhe clinic said it was extremely painful but it wasn't very painful for me much at all. This was super informative! Thanks!

      Yes, very expensive but it depends on the state and place. My only cost $240, but I wish I could pay $170. So far I only need 3 treatment of microneeding

    After living with acne scars for 20 years- I know there is no "cure all" for acne scars. You can improve the look but not get rid of it 100%. I stressed a lot about my scars but after 10+ years I began to realize that I'm the only one in this planet that stress about my acne scars. Even my mother doesn't stress about my acne scars LOL. At least there are more options for acne scars than 15 years ago (only treatment was CO2 laser which was no no for my Asian skin type).

      Microneedling RF or just microneedling is safe for Asian skin and the people of color because it uses heat to stimulate collagen vs traditional CO2 laser resurfacing actually burn the top layer of your skin to stimulate collagen and elastin. I've done both laser and microneedle rf and I can honestly tell you there is no difference between the two treatments both produce the same results so don't let anyone from the doctor office or some medspa trick to believe one is better than the other because it's just a tactic they use for marketing you to get your $. However, the only thing I notice with laser resurfacing result are instant immediately, but the problem is it cause discoloration and it takes months to heal. On the otherhand after you done microneedling rf your face will look like nothing happen, but the result doesn't kick in for at least a week later and it will continue to stimulate collagen for at least the next several months, so you have to be patient going in this route.

      As a Asian, I have had 10+ CO2 lasers before. The post treatment hyperpigmentation is not something you should be worried about as it will all fade away in two to three weeks later.

    I feel that I had a scam back in a few years ago. I did MN at a MD’s office, it was an esthetician who did mine. She did not prep me with anything, basically went straight into the procedure, also, I never got the chance to speak with the MD for the consult 😅. it was a very painful experience for me, to the point I had to ask her to stop, and ask if she could use some numbing cream. then she said, no because that will compromise the result. since I really wanted the best result possible out of it, I just took her word for it.

    I'm an esthetician of 20 years and sunscreen should never be applied immediately after m.n. I would never recommend going with someone on Groupon and hearing that they put sunscreen on you tells me they do not have the experience one would want for procedure like this.

    Hey, i have a similar “line” on my forehead from a huge cystic pimple, its because of the volume loss and tethering underneath the skin. Idk if youve reached out to a derm, but subcision might help. Im looking to get a subcision in the nyc area in the next few months as well. I think rf microneedling is super helpful with the superficial layers of skin but the dimpling effect is probably something much deeper inside the skin.

      @marshmallow.fireside Hey!! So I ended up having a phone consultation with my derm office and they said subcision is typically used in combination with dermal filler. I personally don’t love the idea of filler or Botox inside me, so I think I’ll be going forward with microneedling for a few more sessions to see how it works out 😣 however, I’d love an update from you once you get your procedure! 💕

    • @marshmallow.fireside
      @marshmallow.fireside Год назад +1

      @@j0annepan hi! I had it done about 2 weeks ago and im really happy with the results especially for the forehead. I didnt have filler placed anywhere in my face. I am planning on getting sculptra in my cheek area because i think that area could use a little extra volume since i had a couple “craters” there. But otherwise the forehead scars that were similar to yours have been completely “untethered” and i really dont even see them anymore. However, i went to a specialist who uses a specific technique for subcision, and i think that was the reason the results were so good. It pretty much looks like i never suffered from severe acne anymore.

    Hi..thanks for the information it'sgoing to be huge help in my recovery process..I did the procedure yesterday but I ended up having grid like marks or what u call it as needle marks which are dark in color all over my face similarto what u had on your jawline..I wanted to know how long will it take for the marks to go away? Will it ever go away I'm scared that what if it doesn't. It's literally imprinted all over my face and I'm extremely stressed. Your input would be appreciated..thanks!!

    • @j0annepan
      @j0annepan  Год назад

      Of course - the marks went away within 3-5 days for me, and they were pretty unnoticeable when they were visible! I think it depends on the needle depth that was used, mine were 2mm

    If you have major acne scarring trying the RF Microneedling two or three more times isn’t going to be enough. You will really need to have the eight to ten treatments to see the results.

    How are you doing now? I've heard so many horror stories about people who have this and then end up getting fat loss and looking old. I got so scared lol but I'd love to go to someone who's already had good experiences

    • @j0annepan
      @j0annepan  Год назад +1

      I haven’t actually gone back to do another session! However, my scarring is less severe now, mainly textural issues. I didn’t see much facial fat loss, but I have naturally slightly chubby cheeks and I’ve also been on a small weight loss journey. Any differences in facial fat would likely be ascribed to the weight loss, rather than from the RF. My aesthetician only used 2mm, which is on the shallower end of needle depths. If your face naturally carries more facial fat, it might not be as significant of a problem. I only did the one session, you don’t need to do the 3-10 recommended by professionals if you have the patience and time to see long term effects from just one session. There’s no harm in waiting.

      thank you so much! I also have chubby cheeks so that's why I got more scared lol. I appreciate your input and will definitely take this into consideration since my scarring is affecting my mental health :(
