I have failed and tried again I found the areas I lacked and worked hard during off time how to do better. I also had some internal exploration and found perfectionism, self sabotage with worry. Worked on that and the internal changes had external power clearing the external environmental sabatouchie. The combination of all this has resulted in strategic growth in processes, a working environment that is more functional than before, less distractions while working because I have healthier boundaries with myself and with people. Thanks for your share...stay well

NIce :) Thats a mature aproach to the problem ;) Its inmature and stupid to take personal the negativity of competition, critiques, etc. Comparing with others with the goal of improvement its a good way of learning. Search for our mistakes and the areas we lack is totallty necessary, but we dont like to find we are not that good as we though.

It's okay to be competitive as long as it's healthy. When one group decides to play dirty and call it strategy, I hate it. Sometimes competition is a good way to improve yourself. I loved your take on these topics, so useful

@@SurvivingArchitecture Some people would keep information given by the teacher to themselves that was meant for everybody else, but that is not worse as someone giving false information, specially with the project details. But plagiarism might be the worst of the worst. They would act like they are only taking inspiration and idea from your work but then they copy it. They would just act like they had the idea all this time, but of course they made it "their own".

HI ! I just came across your channel and I really like this video in particular it is so refreshing mainly because I am in my second year architecture and I find it so dismotivating how much competition really exists within studio hours. even amongst your so called "friends" and your video really made me feel less alone in situations like that. It is especially even harder when those competitive and sometimes mean classmates are amongst the professors favorite students or liked by many wich makes it harder to go to someone within archi school for advice or motivation. Please keep making authentic and honest videos that can happen while in Architecture school ! : )

I am first year in university for architecture and right now I'm struggling with designing a house for a artist that we had to choose from. I have an organic and irregular form which makes it complicated for me to do the construction drawings. I just wish I had a person with me to help me understand where I should head and how to deal with understanding on what to do.

Your video is always inspirational for me! I’m a 4th year landscape architecture student and I put many efforts on my works to be the top student over these four years. A tutor in a studio course was too strict and didn’t give any suggestions to me. I tried many times to improve my works but it didn’t please him, which made me questioned my abilities and achievements as results of luck. Together with the pressure accumulated over these years, the sadness from that studio broke me down and I suffered from serious depression. I’m still recovering from depression but I realised I may take things too serious and lose the joy of exploring landscape architecture. Do you have any experiences or suggestions for telling yourself when to stop in a project? Thanks for your video!
