Honestly i criticised the fuck out of it till i actually fully leveled it and realised that if u just set expectations aside its quite fun . Its not what bard should be and u feel like a rebelious teen playing it but its good
I still wish they would've called Machinist "Engineer" instead, because I don't doubt that the 4th phys ranged (coming in 8.0 most likely) will be something like Gunner or Corsair (I DON'T CARE IF IT'S COPIUM), and frankly MCH spends most of its time pulling gadgets out of their ass instead of actually using their gun. *They even pull a second, completely different gun out of nowhere, functioning as a shotgun for their spammable AOE button. WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST USE THE ACTUAL GUN FOR THIS ANIMATION?!* Anyways, Viper has set the precedent that it's okay to "re-use" certain weapon types so long as they're held differently or come in unique sizes. How you pronounce it is fine, honestly, because it reminds of me of "machina" from FFX. Also: You say Dancer has unmatched mobility, but I argue that Ninja has even better mobility than Dancer thanks to +10% movement speed, two charges of Shukuchi, and the gap-closer button that is Forked Raiju. You may not believe me, but during the Llymlaen fight, where she knocks the whole party back and you have to run back to her dodging mechanics down a tunnel of water? Yeah, I skip those mechanics completely, so long as I remember to Raiton first.
OOO that was in my summary, I said all of the ranged dps have unmatched mobility x and i dont think its cope, we are desperate for another physical range and im hoping for Corsair to. its what i thought viper was going to be !
I so mindlessly suffered through leveling BRD and MCH that I don't even remember doing it, and only to 70 just to get Goddess of War title. I legit don't remember ANY of the story, and I haven't even touched them since I did it.

Unironically, having a giant beyblade automaton that casts flamthrower and explodes as its finisher would make for a interesting and fun AoE alternative to Queen Automata. 😂

I've watched the entire video and he didn't even explain "Why you should play ranged DPS in FFXIV Dawntrail". Actually, there is almost no reason to bring physical ranged dps into parties now. Why? A BLM and Picto, double caster comp deals so much more dps compared to that measly 1% dmg buff given to whole party for running physical ranged dps. They need to buff physical ranged dps or it will start to fall out of favor. I see some party finder just put physical ranged dps/caster for savage reruns on Tuesdays. 😂 They are so weak now, it is laughable. In fact, running 2 caster is way more dps than running 1 caster 1 phy ranged dps. For example, BLM is dealing about 26k in savage raids. Dancer, being generous, 24k. Now to be able to to offset that 1% party damage, you will need the caster to be dealing about 8% more than the phy ranged dps so. 2000/24000*100 = 8.3%. And this is being super generous with the calculation. It is actually less than 8%. So why even run physical ranged dps anymore? For parse? I don't know. Probably for that 100th/99th percentile parses.
Let me guess is it because it’s EASY? I’ve been beating samurais and reapers in DPS as a machinist… I’m a black mage main and I can do about 97% as much damage as I do on BLM as MCH, but I don’t even have to be awake to do that…

No they don't, they are underperformers, mages hardly ever stand still to cast unless black mage under 90, even for support they are mediocre. For all intends and purposes they are the diversity hire of the group, for that role 5% bonus. They should just roll them together with the mages and perhaps give them an expensive resurrection and a big circle lb

I just had this conversation with an Omni 90 friend, cause I was trying to figure out which RDPS I should level to 90. He recommended Bard.

As much as I love Bard, I have to admit it doesn't really get fun until 60+.
Its just not bard, not like it should be in ff but if u put that expectation aside what we do have here is still kinda fun honestly
