Thanks for this series. Really enjoying it. The statue of Oñate was removed in June of 2020 after protests by the Pueblo people. As someone else mentioned here, the statue was in Alcade, New Mexico.

Great documentary. But I think you have two Mary's confused. Queen Elizabeth's Catholic elder half-sister, Mary, was queen *before* Elizabeth. She was known as "Bloody Mary" for her oppression of protestants in England during her short reign. The next in line of succession to the throne *after* Elizabeth was her Catholic cousin, Mary Queen of Scots. She was the one that the Spanish hoped would replace Elizabeth and return England to Catholicism without the need of an invasion. However, Mary Queen of Scots was executed by Elizabeth when a coup plot by sympathizers of Mary was discovered. This execution was the final straw that led to the attempted invasion by the Spanish Armada (which failed).

not a criticism, However, Acoma Pueblo is pronounced phonetically Ah- Koh - Mah ( correction with respect) . As a New Mexican, Genetic genealogists from New Mexico have verified through YDNA -Paternal testing ( ( New Mexico males) from 1598 forward ( testing done via Family Tree DNA- New Mexico DNA project) are 80% European (Spain, Portugal, and one distinct family from Greece, etc.) on female MtDNA ( Maternal almost exclusively Indigenous ( either from Mexico or from Native American females from primarily the Southwest (Pueblos). Thank you for video and information. LMW 🇺🇸.

Ya I noticed some questionable historical statements in the video as well. Also such as no Spaniards settling in Texas even though Texas is a Spanish name (Tejas). Teaxs culture is all based off of Spanish culture, from the cowboy attire and cattle ranching to Texas chile.

It was the Jumano who gave the horse to the Apache.
So that they could protect themselves against the Comanche.
The Spanish gave the Comanche the horse in return for them to kill the Apaches.
