I am actually very lucky my first official job as an NP is in a cardiology office. I absolutely love the heart and I am so happy at work everyday. I never learned echocardiogram. I was a fertility nurse and was able to do vaginal ultrasound. How can I be certified to do echocardiograms?

Depends. For small private practice this is typical. For big institutions that have more staff you can expect to see 15 or less.
