This was exactly what I needed! I bought some tiles from Italy intending to use them as a decorative feature over my stove. What I didn't count on was that the grouping of four was way too large for the available space. My contractor came up with the idea to frame them so this is very helpful! Thanks so much.
Great project. But fyi according to some how-to mosaic websites- mdf will retain moisture so it isn’t recommended for use with mosaic tiles as they will eventually come off. Wediboard or go board supposedly works well.
Hi Chris, So happy to come across your video. I am an artist myself who just finished a ceramic / multi-media mosaic that needs a mount. I think it weighs about 20 lbs. It is 16 by 20 inches. Any flimsy frame in say Michaels won't do. How can I find a lad such as yourself that does work like this and how much can I expect to pay for a good mount?? thx Paula

Is there something else to adhere the tile with, besides hot glue? I would be afraid that the heave tiles wouldn't hold.

Hot glue!? Guaranteed the tiles pop off and shatter.

I agree. Hot glue isn't very strong, or permanent.
