With the war against Ukraine, Putin has strengthened and united NATO, reduced Russian oil and gas exports, weakened the Russian economy, brought about the fall of Assad and thus the loss of Russian bases in Syria. As a result, Putin's war and weakening will also lead to the end of the Kim regime in North Korea and the Mullah regime in Iran.

A Russian uprising likely depends on a generational shift. The older population, shaped by Soviet-era resilience and fear of chaos, tolerates suffering. Younger Russians, exposed to dissenting ideas online (vpn), harbor frustration but remain cautious due to repression. As the older generation fades, the youth’s growing dissent could reach a tipping point, turning passive frustration into action. But it will take some time.
Won't happen as Russia are taking large areas of land daily .but if the Russian were being pushed back then things might have changed then but it's past point of no return for Ukraine so why let more mem die when your already loosing large amounts of land
Nearly a million people involved in the war and many more who are close to it. What do you think they see? They see that much of what they've heard is true. And they also see the “made in USA/Germany...” label on what killed their friend or relative.
Isn't it more likely to depend on there being people within the elite circles who have reached breaking point? It's difficult to see how ordinary Russians could rise up effectively as the starting point. They'll need to know there's a viable alternative they can support before they move. That's why getting rid of people like Nemtsov and Navalny - and Prigozhin, from a different perspective - has always been a core element of Putin's strategy to retain power. With no legitimate alternatives, ordinary Russians have no-one to throw their weight behind, so there won't be any uprising until the elites coalesce their support around one of their own.

NATO is threat not just to Russia but the entire world but for Russia the threat is immediate. If country like uk, Germany etc are to want to go to war with Russia alone do you think Russia would be threatening with nuclear weapons? Obviously no because that would be a fair fight or war. For Russia a full scale war with NATO is a nuclear war and NATO will not fight a war with Russia that they are not the one who started it because Russia is weak to start a war with NATO. Russia will suddenly use nuclear weapons first in a war with NATO and the target will be one of those weaker Baltic Nation if that did not stop NATO attack on Russia more will follow but uk, France and USA with nuclear weapons will most likely not be attacked first they'll decide whether to retaliate with nuclear weapons and the ultimate distraction and serious nuclear exchange will start from there or they will just decide to stop the war. The unblackmailable Trump point is a really important one, but it just occurred to me a couple of days ago there's another thing about Trump that totally confounds the Kremlin's way of doing things and probably has them quite alarmed at this point. I should probably state first for clarity (just so you know where I'm coming from) that I'm not a Trump fan when it comes to his overall political views. Having said that, here's the thing: this whole ideological project that Putin is engaged in, resurrecting the Russian empire both by violence and by stealth - all of it relies on the West and NATO being unwilling to violate the international norms we've set for ourselves. That means, for example, not getting involved directly because Ukraine isn't in NATO. Because after all, NATO's military power, combined, is formidable. If we were to use it by unleashing open war on Russia, it would be a catastrophe for Putin. But not unreasonably, he assumes we'll all just keep talking, talking, talking, and try to do the absolute minimum required to help Ukraine. So, he presents NATO as a bogeyman to his domestic audience to drum up support for his war, telling the Russian people that NATO is a direct threat to them, and selling the propaganda narrative to gullible foreigners that he's only acting out of "legitimate security concerns" provoked by NATO - but it's all nonsense, of course. He knows very well that NATO is a defensive alliance and the NATO powers have never had any intention of attacking Russia. And - importantly - that unless he attacks a NATO country openly and directly rather than underhandedly, no-one is going to invoke article 5 and go to war with Russia - because none of us actually wants war with Russia. Now, here's Trump back in the White House, and what do we see? Certainly no indication yet that Trump plans to relax the sanctions. Instead, chaotic rhetoric about taking over Greenland, Canada, Panama - not ruling out the use of military force. Even just the possibility of this potential for American hard imperialism being discussed on American TV channels with some sympathetic treatment is the Kremlin's worst nightmare writ large. Trump is freely signposting that he does not respect well-established international norms. But Russia can't win unless the West sticks to all its international norms, because that's the only way Putin will be able to take everything sneakily slice by slice until he achieves his dream of restoring the empire. At this point, strategists in the Kremlin must be seriously worried about being squeezed between China and a potentially outwardly aggressive US the likes of which hasn't been seen before. So if this is poker, Putin must be increasingly aware he's holding a painfully weak hand. He can't stop the war or he'll lose his power and possibly his life; he can't continue the war indefinitely unless he can convince Trump to relax the sanctions; he has no leverage over Trump because he can neither blackmail him nor bribe him, because he has nothing Trump wants. What, then, can he do?
Your so right about Europe being the super power if it wakes up. Wars are never pretty. But defence has to be that a defence no longer a fence to be sat on. Just it takes a lot to unite Europe.
I know even one death in war is tragic. Mr. Browder said in a democracy, 10,000 troops lost would be enough to end it. So then if both countries were democratic, what would be a "normal" troop casualty total for one of the sides? And what would be a normal acceptable limit?
last year, i watched my cousin go from feeling completely stuck in life to absolutely thriving. they’d been talking about a book called Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane and how it wasn’t about “just think happy thoughts,” but more about getting real with yourself and your goals. at first, i didn’t pay much attention, but then they started landing dream opportunities, meeting new people, and just carrying themselves differently. it’s not some miracle story-they worked for it-but they said the book helped them focus in a way that made everything feel possible.
Geez, why do you even consider that Trump might be thinking even slightly deeply? Most often he just reacts on his feelings of the moment. And he's vastly ignorant of history and international politics.
Yep. The man can barely carry one thought in his head - which is basically "Aren't I great". He's reactful, which may not be a terrible thing, giving how many evil people surround him. But it also makes him dangerous.
I don't think he'll make any effort to do something because it's right. But he might do it by accident if Putin insults him and Zelensky praises him. Trump is spiteful, vindictive, and loves flattery. Zelensky knows this. With luck it will be Trump's ego that helps Ukraine - god knows it won't be a sense of decency or good judgment.
And yet for four years, Trump "did the right thing" by stopping Putin from expanding in Ukraine; unlike Obama-Biden before him and Biden-Harris after him.
@ Russia has warned nato since the early 2000’s not to expand because of security concerns but they never listened and now nato + Biden thought they could do it again with no repercussions

You speak as if a Europe with a credible military would hurt America's interests. The opposite is true, as Europe has benefited economically by cheap-riding on US protection, while the US pays the bill without even being loved by Europeans.
Exactly. Its the dismissive arrogance of Europeans have for the US that caused this desire for us to stop paying for their defense. No matter what happens, Europe’s free ride is over. I don't think the US will leave NATO but we aren't going to fund it anymore
Without World War II, the United States may not have become extraordinarily wealthy, as it was the war's minimal domestic destruction, wartime economic expansion, global demand for goods, technological and industrial advancements, establishment of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, infrastructure investments, and its emergence as a global leader that propelled its economic dominance. Now times are changing...
Why would we love USA? Late to two world wars and made us pay everything we had to save them.USA is only for USA and no sympathy for others. They talk about the bible but never impliment "good Samaritan"
In reality, Trump has signed EO to freeze all US foreign aid for the next 75 days in order to “evaluate” foreign aid assistance. That includes Ukraine..times radio for weeks have been misrepresenting what’s happening here in the U.S. trump has also said he has delegated the conflict in Ukraine to China..yes, China. China In return announced a deeper relationship with Russia..hope this helps.
@ he can’t. The next budget will be in. September. That includes Israel military aid..he & his ilk have already said the aide to Ukraine will stop. So, again, it seems even at times radio ppl continue to dismiss what this man is saying over & over again.
The US has 2,800 Bradley IFV's sitting in storage, that's out of 3,700 of them in total, along with hundreds more A4 variants currently on the way, just sending Ukraine unlimited amount of those with the ammunition they need and some strong anti-drone EW systems attached to them, they could easily push the Russians back if they where used in a spearhead operation in a part of the frontline.
I see every comment you post is about Trump and how much you hate him. And you're not even an American? Move on ... Worry about your own problems your opinion isn't needed or wanted❤
Look at the Russian culture, no, they DON'T care about the numbers of deaths, they never have in the centuries (yes, centuries in that region) where one strongman after another has ruled.
Last month a member of 1420 Daniil Orain interviewed Russian citizens: Interviewer: "How many Russians have been killed or wounded since the beginning of the Special Military Operation?" Citizens: "100s, perhaps 1000s".
From a Canadian point of view, I wouldn't support buying US made equipment if they are likely to turn on us at any time. I'd prefer Korean tanks and European aircraft. We know where we stand with them. Not so anymore with the US.
Trump is not going to invade Canada. He's just trying to scare you into boosting your defense spending to at least 2%, which honestly, you should already be doing.
Don't assume from Trump's trolling Trudeau by joking around, that the US would EVER "turn" on Canada, ever. The North American brotherhood of freedom, which has endured for more than 165 years since the "Pig War,' is much stronger than that.

Putin himself created this monster.
Putin got Trump elected. Trump owes Putin big time.
last year, i watched my cousin go from feeling completely stuck in life to absolutely thriving. they’d been talking about a book called Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane and how it wasn’t about “just think happy thoughts,” but more about getting real with yourself and your goals. at first, i didn’t pay much attention, but then they started landing dream opportunities, meeting new people, and just carrying themselves differently. it’s not some miracle story-they worked for it-but they said the book helped them focus in a way that made everything feel possible.
I fear that too.

I wouldn’t put any faith in Trump. The carrot is incapable of doing the right thing.
100%
I don't think he'll make any effort to do something because it's right. But he might do it by accident if Putin insults him and Zelensky praises him. Trump is spiteful, vindictive, and loves flattery. Zelensky knows this. With luck it will be Trump's ego that helps Ukraine - god knows it won't be a sense of decency or good judgment.
And yet for four years, Trump "did the right thing" by stopping Putin from expanding in Ukraine; unlike Obama-Biden before him and Biden-Harris after him.

Can you blame us for hating you?

Without World War II, the United States may not have become extraordinarily wealthy, as it was the war's minimal domestic destruction, wartime economic expansion, global demand for goods, technological and industrial advancements, establishment of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, infrastructure investments, and its emergence as a global leader that propelled its economic dominance. Now times are changing...

Ukraine is literally exempt from the aid freeze.
Trump making the Putin cry lol.
It doesn’t include Ukraine….
@ he can’t. The next budget will be in. September. That includes Israel military aid..he & his ilk have already said the aide to Ukraine will stop.
So, again, it seems even at times radio ppl continue to dismiss what this man is saying over & over again.
@ refresh your information..as I said before. This is about to be the greatest betrayal in a long, long time.
You are both giving Trump too much credit for "thinking" about anything. He's not capable of it. Seriously.
