@@robertdallakyan2234 that super was coming no matter what it looked like. Paladin had to capitalize on the momentum from the previous two matches. he turned down while punk turned up
That donkey kick at the end was too telegraphed.
Ryu has no love.. Even his Level 1 Super looks so simple like a slightly bigger Haduken that's it. No wonder why people preffer Akuma his moves everything is cooler.
He is playing against the champ!
Also Akuma is not ment to be the best match up for Ryu from the state of Mechanics and Lore is designed from

Ryu has always been basic though this is easily the coolest ryu

Ryu needs more buffs
They buffed him wrong last time. They just upped his damage but his tools set does have the shenanigans to open people up effectively. He needs damage reduced and offensive options increased.
@oboroshogun then he's just Ken 2.0. Ryu is the "honest" Shoto. If you don't want to play a more straightforward character, then you don't want to play Ryu. That's been his design philosophy since at least SF IV.
@lazzygnome4060 I don't play him. I play Akuma. I'm just saying the kind of buffs he needs to win in this game are ones that help him open up characters easier.
It’s his moves they act clueless about it. No creativity with Ryu. If you play him now you just doing it out of loyalty
Def needs buffs. Unfortunately he would need a whole redesign because his weakness is his normals. They have no range hard to whiff punish with ryu where as keen and akuma can whiff punish without thinking
Why do people always go with crouch heavy , light fired ball heavy tatsu after od adamant flame in the corner, when back st hk, charge fireball, hk tatsu does more damage? Is there something im missing?
maybe you should test and compare both of those combos :)
Cr. Hp x L.fb x H.Tatsu is opti
In longer combos, the CHP starter scales better, making it do more damage than if you had used the BHK starter. It's also just more consistent than trying to properly time the release of the charged Gohadoken.
Cr.HP into L.Hadouken leaves you able to do any super afterwards
Akuma and ken nerf now
Is it me or Paladin just sucks now
