The last vestiges of Paul's classic voice. Eric Singer does an inspirational job on this tune, yet the song leaves me longing for a modern Peter Criss version.
This was the last tour I saw them live, in Boston. You could tell he was having just a tiny amount of trouble with the scream toward the end of Modern Day Delilah. The rest of the show went without issues, despite the sound system crackling and popping here and there. Eric sounds great in this clip.
Eric sounds awesome, well Peter’s singing voice sounded quite raspy when he screamed a lot on stage in the 70’s. Peter was the first Kiss drummer, then Eric Carr took his place in 1980, and then Eric Singer first join Kiss in 1992 when they still had no makeup until 1996. Peter came back in 96 along with Ace, then Eric join the band again along with Tommy Thayer and they even used Peter and Ace’s makeup designs from the mid-2000’s to this period. Eric Carr died in 1991, he suffered from heart cancer. Peter and Eric Singer shared the cat makeup design and Eric Carr had the fox makeup design. Three Kiss drummers, totally awesome! 🥁🐱🦊
Aside from Psycho Circus the original lineup hasn't performed since 1979, the Unmasked tour had 3 original members but after that they all only had Paul and Gene.
