😢 sad and excited at the same time worked on the steelwork for 9 years as a young lad loved every minute of it. On to big and better things hopefully. RIP steelworks ❤️

Yes, time to move on now and hope that the new industries fill the very big shoes of the steelworks. I never worked for British Steel but have done work on the site in the past.

Cheers mate 🙏🏻👍🏻🙂 Yes it’s sad, the end to over 170 years of iron & steel making on Teesside. The site is going to have clean energy industry built on it. Wind turbine facility and hydrogen power to name two. It was certainly impressive to see, though I don’t think the seagulls felt the same 😂

Not what you need to understand here though is that there was no warning that this was going on, it wasnt until the next day when they said that it was this being blown up, we know because at work our roof and walls started shaking because we didnt know
