In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

The team of Frankie and Ivo already has a weird father/son energy before this episode, but this task really brought it out.
I was gonna comment that they make a surprisingly good duo !
The fact that two grown men sat down and decided "yea if you could just be on a lead and lay in bed in front of me" is just so funny to me 😂
At least they didn't role play one of them being put down.

I think they had to put in a minor key because music boxes that you can put the tune into are all whole notes. They do make ones that have sharps and flats but they're crazy expensive, $150 where a regular one is $20-25
@@OGBennyGoathaving to put it in a minor key makes no sense, the scale of c is all major notes.
Also it shouldn't be hard to make sharps since they can clearly do half steps or b and c wouldn't be in the same box.
Frankie b and Ivo g should have won this task, so much more rhythmic. Loved it.

Baby artist was beautifully composed, had creative rhymes (tired and expired), and I honestly think Jenny going nuts at the end was funnier than the faux darkness the boys try to imbue theirs wirh

Shoutout to the people who decide on the team combos. They always manage to get such perfect combinations, but they really struck gold with Frankie and Ivo's odd "father who doesn't hang out with his youngest son being forced by his wife to spend the day together to bond" dynamic.
I think the teams are mainly based on whose schedules line up the best, but some combos really are meant to be

I think Baby Artist is genuinely really beautiful, I cried when it was broadcast, it's like a scene from a loving and supportive hippy commune. The other song is like walking in on something sinister happening at the back of a pet shop.

Definitely, they were robbed! Greg judged the other to be more soporific. It was but nowhere nears funny and well performed.

I would have done 4 points each to Frankie and Ivo and 2 points split between the other three.
The artist lullaby was a genuinely cute lullaby until Jenny started randomly and non-melodically listing colors. Frankie and Ivo wrote a better comedy song, though. I"m always very impressed when they do music-based tasks. I don't think I'd be able to come up with a song even a fraction as good even if given twice the time.
I've been humming Frankie and Ivo's lullaby since Friday. They should of won 💯

I'm so happy you guys posted this! I'm a dogwalker and am obsessed with Ivo and Frankies song. My legs do be tired and my knees do be hurting sometimes. Sing me to sleep boys.
It was nice to see the team of 3 make something genuinely nice after having all that tension (mostly originating from Kiell) all season.
I cannot be the only person who, when hearing that lullaby version of the theme tune, immediately started going "Taskmaster's on... It is on now..."
Finding out Mae can play guitar was a pleasant surprise since I think they're the first contestant since Nish Kumar to do so on the show that actually can play it, but yeah overall I agree the team of two should have won, would have been a nice little moment of redemption after losing nearly every other team task.

This was my favourite task of the series.
I choose to try watching this before actuality going to sleep. It was almost working until the list of colours, and i had to start occurring what colours they actual are, and it wore me up as they don't go together!
I was suggesting unmentioned colours and singing at the end, wouldn't Prussian or Wallis Blue, be better?
I thought that Frankie and Ivo may have gone with a Bee-Gees inspired song as a callback to their high pitched voices in the spoon task
This turned my day around and gave me a reason to smile :)

I don’t know why Alex is snarky about dog walker being a profession. That literally is some people’s full-time job.
And they do quite well! Alex throws out a lot of little comments to get the contestants talking to generate humorous responses for the edit.

@@DW-indeed LOL, no. People hiring dog-walkers don’t just want any old cretin like you. They want someone with significant experience and expertise. Many dogs are over-anxious, especially if they’ve been rescued, and certain triggers can cause reactive behaviour in them. (I’m not a dog-walker, by the way - just apparently not as ignorant of aspects of life as you are.)

Some idiots think it is easy, but it is often 8 dogs, at a time, to get a good income. Who take a while to tolerate each other, and every new dog may be days or weeks, watching for a potential fight. I have known of idiots to lose a dog on a walk, getting side tracked looking at women, etc.
Plus a quality dog walker can tell you if your dog is acting differently, walking differently, possibly has a back or hip problem. Often knows dog CPR.
A top walker is often a retired vet nurse or as knowledgeable. Often ends up running hands over, for new lumps, checks pads for problems, or grass seeds...
You hire a sullen teen and you can have a dog lost, hit by car, in a bad dog fight or even dead.
You don't sound like you know or care much about dogs. Your attitude is found in the teens that think it is easy money. And are normally a disaster.

As someone who spent several years as a professional dogwalker while in university, that's just the lullaby I needed!
Also, my number one fear as a dogwalker was that the extremely elderly but still mobile dachshund mix in my care would die while his owners were out of town. In case anyone wants to write another verse!

Why have you started censoring and editing? We want the full task, uncut, uncensored.
That was brilliant. The art song was more soporific, and I liked it, but the dog walker lullaby was wondrous.
Sadly, it would cause too much laughing to bring on sleep.
They should have won...the other group has silly lyrics and weren't that creative with the prompt- listing colors and using too many items to show it.
They however had a catchy tune and surprisingly interesting lyrics about a dog walkers job.
Honestly prefer the dog walker song, but that's because it's more entertaining - with the criteria being 'soporific' you kind of need a boring song to win.

This task was O.K. but nowhere near as good as the song for a stranger (series 5 finale) or the House Queens (series 13 finale). It shouldn’t have been broadcast as the last house task of the series.
Completely agree. Musical team tasks in general have a lot to live up for after the Rosalind songs, especially as the final team task of the series (and in all cases but one, the overall final pre-taped task). The multi-track songs achieved that, but Taskmaster The Musical and this task did not.
The artist lullaby was clearly superior.

Why? I had a hysterectomy and I’m fine. But, what does that have to do with anything?
What is so bad with a hysterectomy?
Plus you then not only have no surprises, but you can't get uterine cancer, can't find you are unexpectedly preggers...
I know hundreds of female dogs and cats - and ferrets, who appear to love every moment of hysterectomy life, running an animal rescue.
Surely, you are far more likely to die in pain if you DON'T have a hysterectomy, if you are suffering enough, to have it recommended?
