  • All dragon images in this vid are from the Wings of Fire books or graphic novels, except for the first one at 00:09, which is the Allmother from Golden Treasure (by far the greatest dragon game ever made). The game in the background is Scales of Stardust (nice, short, free platformer). Background music is from Knytt Underground, in order: Can of Worms, The Swamp Engineer, and Drama Dora.
Originally I was working on a video all about silkwings, which I recorded over 30 minutes of audio for. But I didn't like how that was turning out, so I scrapped it and went with something shorter. My lungs didn't appreciate that much recording anyway, so it was a good idea to stop. I did learn a lot more about silkwings in the process.
When I was looking at the store pages, I could've sworn there was a review that was just titled: "Homosexual Dragons", which would've been too funny to not include here, but I couldn't find it when I went back. Oh well.

WoF is an amazing series. What strikes me as one of the most important things it brought with the books, is the community behind it. It’s extremely impressive how so many people gathered over a kids series, and did some pretty awesome stuff.
In all, it’s nice to see the series get the appreciation it deserves and more.

Nice video! One of the book series which had a major impact on my life was the Rangers Apprentice series, and I’m glad that Wings of Fire had a positive impact on yours!

This makes me sad I never got into it. The perspective change each book made me quite hard to settle on it. It also didn't help that my opportunities to get a book from the series were extremely difficult when I would've been far more motivated to go past that. Still, I did end up getting ebooks of all of them that I have yet to read. I almost feel like now I'd have too much criticism to enjoy it, even if logically that wouldn't track with my personality and original opinion of what of the series I did manage to read. (Context is while I've more or less followed its story development in broad strokes, I only fully read three books, two of the very first series which was the very first one and then Tsunami's focused one, and then the first of the second series with Moonwatcher, who came across to me as a very fun and interesting character and had reignited my interest in reading it at the time. I was even already enjoying the party that was forming then as well.)
So, I'm at a sorta mental impasse where I don't want to ruin something I genuinely think I'd like by my views today, and this could probably be summed up as having been caused by the passive sorta osmosis of details of the story and the communities' thoughts on it making me inadvertently filter it through one of my bias lenses that I somehow developed in relation to things that have swept up a huge following.
For the moment, because I can't decide if watching your appreciation of Wings Of Fire would help or hinder me in actually exploring the series myself, properly, finally, I'm going to put it off, I only really wanted to find a place to vent my own personal frustrations with this mental roadblock I've been battling with the series. Heres hoping that maybe over the next few years I'll finally get over myself and read what I've come to understand is a really fun and charming series of books.

Wait there is going to be a 4th arc?
Everything I saw (from the lack of a "Wings of Fire will continue" page at the end of the third arc, to the fact that only a drawing book and some graphic novels have come out since the third arc concluded, to the fact that there are only 2 potential future threats left who's risk is small scale at most) pointed towards the third arc being the last, but I would be quite happy to be proven wrong.

There was an event where Tui talked about it: ruclips.net/video/UeTw8Tx0_CM/видео.html at 4:52
Course it could always get delayed/cancelled later, but we've got that confirmation for now
