Freaking excellent episode. About people shitting on Norn, it also bothers me. She was a literal child and her first core memory of Rudy was him ruthlessly beating her father, the man that raised her and protected her after the teleportation incident. She's literally afraid of Rudy, first and foremost, but she doesn't understand him more than anything. He's a brother in name only, separated when they were too young to make those familial bonds. If anything, their relationship as brother and sister is beginning right this very moment. I have nothing but sympathy for both of the little sisters.
I still don't understand, what changed? She still doesn't know why Rudy beat up her dad, she doesn't know why he is with another woman now, she still is being compared mercilessly to him. What changed?
@jaideepshekhar4621 Rudy did the opposite of his brother. Rather than tell him other people were worse off than him, he acknowledged that Norn was going through a hard time. He admitted he didn't know anything about Norn and she realized he was just like her in that sense. Lastly, despite all that, he asked if it was OK for him to be by her side despite all that. Just listen to what she thought and how she saw Rudy. I think it's obvious. She's not afraid of him anymore because she finally understood that he was just like Paul.
@@Amuro1X Sure, she realises he's not as bad as she thought, but she still has no explanation for any of his actions. And what about everyone else's comparisons? How did she change in dealing with that? How is she cheerful and happy now?
What i love about mushoku tensei, is how real the characters fell, they are not just a plane blank cliche characters just to give support to the main character or advance de the plot, they are they own persona, had flaws, and u can connect with them at some degree, i love them. Since the two sister were born and, rudy was separete from them i wanted to know how the relationship would be. And i love what the autor has done. Mushoku not only the best isekai, but one of the best fictional history ever
This episode touched me so much and reminds me that this is how Rudy make up with Paul too (and it's first season Ep.17 too) I completely understand and agree with your point. For a child who has been traumatized, it's so reasonable for her to hate Rudy. Those who blames Norn really needs to think about it. I guess that's why I love this series so much, the other Isekai just like "oh I'm a NEET who can do nothing, and then suddenly I can do everything after came to Isekai. But Mushoku Tensei is like you can totally see rudy's growth, such was so precious to me.
I really like your every reaction to all anime, as usual you always review it down to the roots, you always pay attention to every detail, I have never watched a channel like this before.❤❤
Rudy was in the Ranoa region (the very top left corner of the Central continent) when Paul decided to send Aisha and Norn to live with him. He was already attending the magical university.
@@bluestReacts You should take a look at the world map, maybe for a video or for discussion on the next episode. It's fascinating. You can feel the scale of Rudeus adventure and how far he teleported. There are Reddit post about it, which explain his adventures route in S1
If you read up on the interview with the author, he said he would have done the story of Mushoku Tensei in Norn's POV when asked if he had to choose to write from another character's perspective.
31:00 I'm a whole grown-ass man and I'm usually very stoic and don't show emotion, but this scene (really this entire episode) makes me cry harder and harder every time I watch it. So masterfully written and executed.
Turning Point 3 was Rudeus deciding to go completely against Hitogami's "advice." Sure, Sylphy being pregnant was part of it, since it was a huge factor in him agonizing over the decision whether to go to Begaritt or not, but deciding to go to Begaritt is the trigger. TP1 completely altered the flow of fate (the teleportation incident changed Hitogami's vision of his future to where Orsted and Rudeus' descendants sealing him), TP2 was Orsted meeting Rudeus, and TP3 was Rudeus unintentionally putting things back on track and keeping Roxy from dying in that labyrinth (you know that motherfucker Hitogami was lying when he said Roxy would have been alright even if Rudeus didn't go) and ensuring that Lara would be born. TP4 was about preventing the bad ending, and again making sure Roxy doesn't die and Lara is born. Then TP5 was removing all of Hitogami's current strong pieces off of the board. IIRC Rifujin himself said that Turning Points are points where the balance of power between Orsted and Hitogami shifts, but they can also be interpreted as Rudeus' story also taking a drastic turn as he has also been caught up in their battle.
I think a lot of people love the episode as I've heard a lot of light novel readers say that they liked how it was interpreted. Also, yes, anybody that knows what's coming, don't say a damn word, lol.
Awesome reaction man, as a fellow light novel reader I agree with all your points, in particular to how Norn is a relatable great character. Btw, did you stop reading at which volume?
This is easily my favorite episode in season 2 and maybe the entire anime While i have not read the LN but i have read the manga and yeah i think experience this part again make me realise norn is my 2nd favorite character in the series behind rudeus
Tp3 will not only in one episode, it will be a long ass event. That all i can say😂. And still it not musoku peak, tp4 will broke internet, i hope studio bind give it justice 😅
Easily my favorite episode of the entirety of season 2

I've seen too many people saying Norm is acting too immaturely like she isn't a fkn 10 Yr old

Did you know that in an interview, they asked Rifujin what character he would wrote other than Rudeus. He said it would be Norn.
I did not know that! But that honestly sounds about right

My favorite episode this season. ❤️
Awesome episode, though i wouldve liked more dialogue between them, but I'll take the monologue and getting to see Norns perspective
Honestly, this was probably the best episode of the entire series so far imo.
Fun fact, ss2 ep 17 is Rudy making up with Norn and ss1 ep 17 was Rudy making up with Paul
Really cool connection there!
Rudeus is on the City of Sharia in Ranoa.
Might be my favorite episode of the whole series
It’s definitely up there for sure, they hit every note perfectly

I stopped reading at around volume 18, though I didn't actually ever finish volume 18
