Is the price cheaper yet or still very expensive? I am hoping that the price will be more reduced soon as this technology is already licensed for a long time, and competing mixed technologies are already appearing in many mass produced products now. $1,000-$2,000 USD cost for a product like this would be revolutionary for my industry and many other industries. The cost is too hight for to long due to most of the early using being from mining, engineering, and military.
Floor penetration is not a feature of any lidar product. This application requires the use of other methods such as ultrasound, seismography, xray, radar ect. LiDAR is mainly for reality capture, eg accurately digitising of real world environments, structures, buildings, geology/terrain for modelling, visualisation and data analysis, building information modelling, mining engineering and heavy industry, and for forensic examination. Basically anything you can see and touch (the surface of)

Can it be used for surveying work with good accuracy , or is it only for tracing the object(area) to create 3d model.

Hi, does it require loop closure?
In narrow areas like tunnel, mine, no need for loop closure. But in open area, we suggest loop closure.
