Thank you Bo. Any help you can give its using the wave editor will be deeply appreciated. After a correction how do you get the sound i.e. Back in the Tracks window?
Jerry G Edits in the wave editor are destructive - they permanently change the original file. The tracks window and sequence editor merely hold reference containers that point to the original file. So, as soon as you edit the file in the wave editor, all of the references that point to it point to the new version. In other words, you don’t have to do any extra steps to get your edits into the tracks window.

Hi Bo .... nice video and tuition / introduction, is there anyway in DP9 that you can record multiple midi tracks simultaneously. I have a Korg i5M and would like to record the modules midi output all in "one hit" rather than having to record each instrument individually - Thanks Ray.
Yes - turn on Multi Record [almost at the bottom] in the Studio Menu - then you can select the midi input you want to record in the individual midi tracks
YES .... You Beauty!!! ..... I've just tried it and hey presto .... Thank you very much, my prayers have been answered. PS. Thanks also for a speedy reply, Cheers RAY
Hi Bo, I'm back again. Sorry to bother you but I cant find this infromation in the manual and I was perhaps wondering if you might know the answer ... Anyway here goes, it's a simple thing that I find very helpful in knowing where you are within a song and when working within the "Song Editor Window" (with the various chunks etc.) is there a way to turn on a cursor (or bouncing ball & line) that when you hit play runs in parallel with the counter and visually gives a reconing over the top of the chunks thus indicating where you are at that moment in the song. Thanks again ... Ray.
Hi, actually I never used the Song Editor, but it's a very cool feature of DP, that is overlooked - I guess especially for EDM producers. It's actually really awesome you can have chunks with different time signatures playing at the same time. BUT no wiper I am afraid - would be a cool feature.
Have you enabled Audible Mode? Click the little speaker icon to the right of the metronome icon if not. Then you will hear the midi note being played back at the velocity level assigned to that specific note.
Hello Bo Astrup, I downloaded UVI Workstation for my MOTU Instruments and how do I use my virtual instrument in UVI to DP10. I am expecting to have sound waves and creating symphonies or what for film scoring but i don't know exactly how to record.
Not many videos on Motu! I use FL Studio to control Motu the separate midi is great. Use sustain on only c1 f1 a#•2 in one sequence. Using multiple midi outs in fl studio for more octave rang. Is the a way to x y connect velocity to controller. What are the ADSR midi cc in dp
Not sure I understand using FL Studio to control MOTU but I am intrigued by your question. Please tell more about your situation. MOTU Digital Performer fully supports MIDI. It will use any midi CC you send to it.
Hi, I am not sure what you mean. You can always trash the project folder if that's what you mean. YOu can also use the Soundbites window to select all soundbites in your project and delete all files, keeping your project "intact" - not if that is what you want.
No real direct way. I'd simply make sure to select all audio tracks at the same range and do merge audio, then you will have to convert the sd2 files to wav and import into a new PT session. As so many plug ins are different from DP to PT, you would not gain much from opening a session file even if you could.
Hi There, That is a very broad question. Which keyboard exactly? Is it USB? Does the keyboard have the original 5 pin DIN connector? or..? Do you know if your keyboard is class compliant or does it need a driver installed? Mac or Windows?
Its USB keyboard, its easy to Set it up, in Reason,Sonar, Logic, Protools, but i cant find option here on DP, i have to use mouse to draw notes on my piano roll, iwant i want is to be able to play note from my external midi keyboard

Brilliant lesson, that was 40 mins well spent. Thank you.
Some of that classic gear still sounds fantastic. Nice layering. Would you ever want to use a stereo buss to send to the reverb. Why mono?

Simple question.....how do you hear a single MIDI note when editing? Clicking on it does nothing
Have you enabled Audible Mode? Click the little speaker icon to the right of the metronome icon if not. Then you will hear the midi note being played back at the velocity level assigned to that specific note.
Yes! Thank you! It was the Speaker Icon - it doesn't mention anything in the MIDI section of the User Guide - going NUTS! Thanks again! Cheers!
