You can put the bottom of the wig on the eyes mechanism. It will help the wig to stay in place, and you will still be able to use the mechanism even if it's a bit harder! The wigs are beautiful, Luts always have great quality wigs!

My favorite is sylvy(?)'s wig. For the purple one, I would put it in a battle braid. Lol I love these! I'm exited to see the rooms you've made.

I think you should keep the wigs as it is. Just in case you cut it short and do not like how it looks, you cannot make it long again unless you want to buy more wigs.
