+Agelos Ntaflos You're talking about Platinum Games, some of the best and most respectable software house of our time. Wash your mouth before saying shit like that.
I bought this on the day it came out. I've been wanting to see something like this since I was a kid. I'm for supporting this game. Please make a sequel with a Decepticon campaign and more playable characters. I would love to play as Megatron and Soundwave.
This is my fucking childhood right here and what's even better is it comes out on my freaking birthday lol. I'm going into mid 30's now and looking back, I wished I kept all those transformers I've collected when I was a kid in Japan. Nevertheless, the game is catered to my age group perfectly.
The transformers game I wanted 30 years ago, the transformers game I've wanted for the last 30 years.Tbh I don't care for the cretic of any comparison to modern games and their mechanics. It has that soul, stupidity and simplicity of everything a transformers game based on a cartoon should be.Just total love to all the 30/40 somethings out there, you're review was very telling.
+Thomas Brandon Thanks Thomas I think they are just as important as the other catagories. Especially when fans buy OST's or have multi hundred dollar sound systems
What i love about you is the black and white outro, "If you like it, thumbs up and if you didnt, thumbs down!! No other RUclipsr has the balls to ever mention the thumbs down button, they are just so focused on begging for thier like goals!! awsome review!!
I'd rather pay full price for a 5 hour game I'll play for 5 hours, than a 30 hour game I'll be bored of after 30 minutes. Super pumped to get this, thanks for the video ACG!
This had the G1 accuracy, but TF: Fall of Cybertron is still the best TF game ever and needed a sequel (or 3rd game since it was already the sequel to War for Cybertron)
When they get it right it is great. When they get it wrong the product always makes me ask "My god, how rushed were they?" They are spreading themselves so thin that we get little tiny kernels of what Platinum is good at spread out over Devastation and peppered in TMNT. I hope the games do well, I guess, but I also don't want to reward this kind of rush job. I hope they learned a lot from working with Nintendo on SF 0 and that they are out of the licensed-games bushes for a while. They could create something amazing that I feel like they have been literally flailing at for years. I also worry that TMNT might tank them. It's bad.
I lost it at 12:18 lmao. Laughing so hard i lost focus on what you were saying after that. Had to rewind. Slippin those slick similes in so smooth. I love it. Btw excellent review as always bruh. At this point I'm convinced you give the best and most informative reviews I've seen. You leave no stone unturned.
Great review Karak, im gonna wait for a low price because even tho im a huge transformer fan and platinum fan 50$ for a 5 hour long campaign is too much for me, also I hope platinum makes a dlc expansion for Decepticons in the future. One of the things that made Transformers games great was the fact that you can choose either team with their own story and playable characters and I think Decepticon fans need some love too in this game.
I have never been a fan of Transformers (I know, sacrilege), but man, I can absolutely respect how faithful the team at PlatinumGames was with this title. The graphics and overall visual aesthetic are spot-on; it really is reminiscent to that of the classic animated series and film. And the fact that they went and hired a competent writer as well as many of the original cast members also illustrates their desire to make a game that fans of the franchise would appreciate. It would have been easy to market this game on its visuals and gameplay alone, but it's good to hear that they went that extra mile in making an authentic Transformers title. I won't be purchasing it for $50, but the gameplay does look solid, so once it goes on sale, I'll pick it up. Thanks for the review, Karak.
If I'm using the keyboard and mouse controls how do I shoot I know how to aim with ctrl but I can't figure out how to fire. everything I left/right click is just does melee attacks
Also Karak I've gotta say this review reminds me of why I subbed awhile ago to your channel and still am here. You show games in a detailed way that others (ign, gamespot) simply don't do. Like the customizable weapons, upgrades and moves. Great review man.
Just played through the game last night and I was a bit disappointed in the lack of narrative content, especially with how they were building up some elements. You are dead right about the lack of levels and locations. All together I think we had maybe five unique areas, not including boss arenas, and boy did they get old fast. Also, I felt like the camera was my enemy through most of the platforming. Only time I ever died during the game was hopping across those sideways pillars on Cybertron. I suck at driving games so the car chase levels were a bit of a slog, but that's just me. Best part of the game were the boss battles and every one of them was a fantastic experience. I was really amazed at just how balls out awesome they were, my favorite being the fight against Menasor. I'll definitely be replaying on the tougher difficulties and making liberal use of the challenge rooms, though ultimately I can't help but feel I maybe should have waited for the price to come down a bit. Ah well, I saw a beautiful rendering of nostalgia and I went for it. Hope they take more time with the sequel.
Honestly don't think I've played a Platinum game before but as a G1 fan alone this was well worth my 50 for me. The fewling like I'm literally playing an episode of the cartoon is just so amazing, I do really wish they got the right music though to complete the experience. Overall for me 7/10
As a Gen 1 Transformers fan (Michael Bay Bleah), this was just so awesome! Hearing the voices, seeing the original looks, the awesome fighting... so totally worth the cost and if you pre-ordered it, then seeing the new skins like Nemesis Prime and GoldBug(Bumblebee for a while) was totally worth every dollar! Megatron as a tank was a pleasant surprise but still something you'd see from a comic involving G.I. Joe in the day. lol! :) I just wish if I knew you could unlock even MORE skins or transformers somehow. Getting SS rank in Commander mode is insanely hard unless you're a badass at this. l can see people replaying this game for getting that high SS rank and cool gear that comes with it! I give this game a 4.5 out of 5 because to be honest, I didn't really care for the normal background music. I would have preferred something from the series like "the touch" by Stan Bush (which I looped on my pc while playing this game for that badass feeling) but I don't blame them for trying to put something original in this. If they make a sequel based on this one with improvements, like longer gameplay... then it will become THE best Transformers game in existence! As it sits right now, it is so very awesome!
Thanks for the review on this game! I too grew up watching this show!! And I love the way it looks. From your take and video, I see lots of promise from this and the shortness is the really tough part... I can also see how they can grow and improve from this one with the next! Assuming that they do keep the voice actors and add more bots/characters and maybe a villain's side of the story to this!! But thanks to you, you have confirmed that I should pick this up. In todays gaming world where there isn't enough time to play everything (if you're working and/or a parent) and WAY TOO many games to play, try and check this looks worth a shot!!
Great review! I love this game and I will say once you've beaten the main story you will find better graded versions of starter weapons. An A grade version of Prime's rifle does some serious damage!
Nice review. Short campaigns don't bother me as a busy daddy. I don't get that much time to play anyway. Besides, if it's fun and short, I get to play it over again more often. I don't even know how many times I've replayed Vanquish. I'm buying.
I wish the shines were real time, instead of being painted on textures. That last addition would have taken the look so much further towards looking authentic.
Do the weapon customizations change the way the actual transformers look? This is a question asked more in the PS2 days, when upgrading from a pistol to a bazooka, still showed your character running around with a pisotl that just ended up being more powerful. But I like when the weapons change the look of the bot as well. Thanks!
+Cant Mew it like me only the way the weapons look, the animations will also be affected by what type of weapon you use. The character designs don't change at all over the course of the entire game.
One question I have before I decide to purchase: does this have the difficulty mode unlocks like Bayo, Wonderful 101, and Revengence? This is the real bulk, if you will, of gametime in Platinum's games. Beat the game normally to unlock hard, then unlock very hard, then unlock the impossible mode. And while it's padding, sure, what makes Platinum's version of difficulty modes so engaging is that they don't just give the enemy meat-points for you to spend twice as long trying to punch through, or make you take 10000000x more damage from every hit, they change up enemy spawns, enemy locations, enemy numbers, and even give enemies new attacks in harder difficulties. Level 1 in the "Impossible" mode starts with enemies that would appear in the final level of the "Normal" mode, and it only gets more challenging from there. It has always been a blast to go through those scenarios. (Thanks for the great review, love your style. I'll definitely come back for more. :P )
+PaperFlare I'm sure you've found out by now, but it does. By default, you have Scout, Warrior and Commander (easy, normal, hard basically) and you can unlock Magnus and Prime on top of that.
Really impressed with your review. I was born in 1980 and loved the Show growing up. I have only just heard about this game today so i am pretty excited to get this. Sideswipe was always my favorite so its cool to see i can play as him in the game! : P
A very well done review! I was hopeful this game would turn out good as soon as I saw the first screenshot. I love the classic Transformers and Platinum's work. I'm still gonna wait for a price drop, though :)
Great review! question though: Can you give a brief recap on the difference between the current and last gen versions? mainly I'm concerned about the frame rate, since i have a PS3 and 360, but not a PS4 or Xbone
I like how this was summed up. I'm both a Platinum fan and a Transformers fan but I was kind of expecting this to be more Korra than Bayo 2. I'm glad to hear it's better than Korra, but I'm glad I didn't have my hopes up as high as some.
+RosesAreBlack To be fair... its not a $60 game. Its a $49.99 game. And its far better than Korra... and imo better than the reviewer gave credit for. thats not to say its a great game... but it is very fun.
Thank you so much for bringing me this game. I self am 27 now and my kid loves the game Childhood being played by my own child enjoying his childhood Now that makes me happy!
Love the review. Definitely followed and look forwards to your reviews for 2016. You seem like a fan of transformers so would you recommend Transformer WFC and FOC?
Are there autobots that turn into jets and helicopters and tanks or just cars because not all autobots are cars and it would be fun to transform and use other craft ?
Great review!! Any restrictions with using the in game music on RUclips? Might do some live streaming of this tomorrow and don't want to get hit with copyright bs
so is the game as good as the previous Platinium games? Like Metal Gear Revengeace? Or like Korra? Is it as good? Cant wait for it tommorow to play on my pc.
So it's about the same length as Korra but double the price. Story is more than likely much better than Korra but what keeps me going back to Korra every once in a while is the Pro Bending. I really wish it would have had 3 v 3 online. That would have been a lot of fun. Even if they had to do away with the slow motion counters when you were returning an attack.
+NEOMERCER I wish Korra had a challenge mode. The core gameplay for Korra is excellent and some type of challenge/survival mode outside of Pro Bending would have been nice. But Pro Bending is surprisingly fun. The very last Pro Bending match is ridiculously hard though.
Think I'm gonna have to pass until at least a -75%. Love Platinum games but I could never care for Transformers, not for the cartoon as a kid, even less for the Michael bay movies as an adult. Plus it's published by Activision.
+DarthQball Yea theres a good chance it'll be $20 or $25 on black friday. Every year, Assassins creed comes out at the end of October, and EVERY year on black friday its $25.... Thats a huge title and look at that. Even COD usually goes for $40 or $45. You gotta remember, these are like 1-2 day sales, not a permanent price drop.
Holy sh#t Karak! Definitely a must buy for me. I got goosebumps when I heard Cullen's voice, never gets old lol! I never got to play Vanquish or Bayonetta, even though I got hyped as sh#t when for some reason I thought Vanquish was going to be ported to PC. But Transformers Devastation also reminds me of Darksiders 2, I loved that game. Thanks for the review man!!!
Love the look, feel, vibe that screams 80s G1 Transformers, but I really enjoyed playing War For Cybertron when it came out back in 2010; Devastion might come in at very close second for best Transformers based videogame made thus far.
Another solid review, sir! Disappointed to hear about the short gameplay length but I do freaking love me some Transformers so hopefully I'll get more out of it.
Good review, the limitations I knew were coming and I know why: making this on last gen is the limitation. If this game was on the PS4 and Xbone you would have seen a game with much bigger areas, MORE areas and the ability to do more on the screen. The old 360 and ps3 can still do alot, but we all know cell shading pushed those consoles some and memory on them is a fraction of the new consoles. I do think maybe they had a short time to make this game, but still even if it came out next year it would be bigger but not as good as just on current consoles. Again just my opinion, but I was glad Arkahm Knight was PS4 and Xbone only as if they were on the last gen to, would been a smaller and shorter game. I will buy this around the $30 mark, nice breakdown. I hope a sequel is coming ONLY for current gen (though I doubt it) but say split campaign and much more content. Thanks.
+jmatt781 Not sure if you were playing games back then but there was a great looking mod that was for Battlefield 1942 or maybe Battlefield 2 that actually had working vehicle models in it's testing but then the team who was making it abandoned the project. Not sure if corporate powers came down on them or what but playing the early levels of that was the closest I ever came to realizing my dream of a GI Joe Battlefield game. Granted Battlefront would be an even better fit because of the inclusion of playable heroes.
I also think that being a third person shooter, a G.I. Joe Battlefront title would allow you to see and enjoy all of those great, classic characters that you would play as much better. Playing as Cobra or Joe, using all of those kick ass characters and vehicles would be so fucking amazing. They already have the new Battlefront engine, they could build it off of that... if only Hasbro could team up with disney to make that happen. I think my brain would explode if I saw something like that.
I never was a huge fan of Transformers (never watched the original originals, just the other animated ones) but Im solely interest in this game because at times Platinum Games does some pretty legendary work... Aside from Bayonetta fame, arent they the ex-clover studio?
+bob jones Thanks Bob. Just remember we may not always agree but as long as we all like games...hell its gonna be a good time. Hope you continue to like the videos brother
I love Platinum and Transformers, so I've been very excited for this. I hope Platinum can do some more licensed games based off other series in the future.
could you imagine platinum doing dragonball? just making it 10x more stupid and overlyhype than it needs to be, making people naturally liking it, like im no transformer fan but im getting this
Yep, I love transformers and I love Platinum so I'll be so enjoying this. I do agree this game does look like it was made in a hurry. I hope it sells well enough activision comes back, asks for another, and the team will have enough experience and/or time to put in more. I'd like a decepticon campaign, open world levels that you can drive/fly through, destructable environments, and more variety in the characters like fliers and triple changers. Platinum makes awesome games, but they are so niche these days in the fact they don't give a hoot about multiplayer, that so few of their games get sequels. Bayonetta 2 was a minor Miracle in that Nintendo funded it themselves, and then said don't worry about the F-bombs and risque humor, just make the game you guys want. I'm hoping that with the IP and obvious love they've shown, they get enough sales for round 2.
+Chad Hutchings your asking too much lol i highly doubt this game would sell enough for them to make an open world transformers, this game is a mission base beat em up after all....... but lately Platinum has been announcing open world rpg such as Neir 2 and Scalebound so they are some what expanding
+AngryCentaurGaming thanks for the quick reply. I still haven't bought a next gen console and was just debating to either get it for the 360, or wait and get it when I get a next gen console, which prob wont' be anytime soon. Decisions, decisions.
So your saying megatron don't turn into his gun form like the original show? And just saying I love classic Gen 1 I grew up with but why dissing the new ones? They actually are more realistic then old gen 1
I honestly don't think the cel shading is very reminiscent of the original cartoon and think they should have left out the shading because there is an element of incongruence / incompatibility that only the eye can subtly see at first glance. In other words it's hard to describe that something is off, and I think that something is that there are too many black smudges on the characters because of the cel shading making it look like it can't be taken too seriously. Trying to turn a 3D CGI video game into a 2D Cartoon doesn't make sense and is kind of a hindrance to the animation. Now if we ever get a Transformers show with these characters, then I DEFINITELY would like for it to be cartoon Cel animation! Another thing is that like another commenter said, I also wish there was a Decepticon campaign. We are getting very close to the Transformers game we've all dreamed of when we were kids. This one is very close but those are a couple minor things I would've done differently. That, and I also hope they put forward a better campaign to advertise this game so it actually sells and gets a sequel.
+PrimeProductionsULTD It seemed pretty close to me. I just finished up rewatching the cartoons a week ago. But I mean its as close as a current gen set of systems and cards can hit without some extra work on shaders and possibly a redoubling of effort on locations
I think the color schemes and all that are excellent to the originals characters, but it's the melting between cel and CGI where I think something looks off. Particularly in this video you can see it a lot with Wheeljack in his car robot when he's changing direction quickly and all the ink shading and lines aren't perfect in line with the CGI model. It just looks like the 2 formats do not mix well, even though it's a good effort.
Bay's films have so many problems but I don't think the designs of the robots is one of them. I love how they look, especially Age of Extinction's more humanoid streamlined style.
I don't like wrestling with the camera in this game. Why no "camera follow" option, where the camera always faces in the direction you're moving? I'm tried of always having to adjust the camera then when adjusted it messes with the direction i'm driving. Not to mention I only have 1 thumb I can't attack and adjust the camera at the same time. Not to mention the camera options directional X, Y only change while aiming not while walking/driving. This game desperately needed a user experience director. There are many games that have solved this issue, shame this got past QA without an option to fix.
Good review. Alas this game does not seem like my cup of tea. I was quite fond of the War/Fall of Cybertron games from High Moon. While this game feels like it learned a few things from how Xenoverse handled Dragonball Z, and while some aspects seem to be done well, it feels like a step in the wrong direction. Doesn't seem as fun as one of the Bayonetta games, but that is just my impression.
You give some of the best reviews. Thank you for all your hard work and thank you for saving me from buying this game. Gonna rent instead. Way too short
I'm lovin this rating system. Thanks for the unconventionally thorough review! Wasn't so sure about this buy, but honestly you've convinced me! Btw, is there a Boss rush challenge level of any sort?
i really do wish this had a decepticon campaign
+christian baluyot sounds like DLC to me.
+christian baluyot yep another transformers that fails for fans that love the decepticon chars rather than the autobot chars
+Skriva Kanga No man, just creators that know that people are willing to pay another 20$ for a DLC Deception campain.
+Agelos Ntaflos You're talking about Platinum Games, some of the best and most respectable software house of our time. Wash your mouth before saying shit like that.
+christian baluyot This is from a time when we actually rooted for the good guys. We were not confused like kids today.
I bought this on the day it came out. I've been wanting to see something like this since I was a kid. I'm for supporting this game. Please make a sequel with a Decepticon campaign and more playable characters. I would love to play as Megatron and Soundwave.

Yet another excellent, well written, well versed, and satisfying review. I love it.

I really love how you analyse the music and sound far more than any other reviewer
+Thomas Brandon Thanks Thomas I think they are just as important as the other catagories. Especially when fans buy OST's or have multi hundred dollar sound systems
+AngryCentaurGaming god i wish platinum had sound mixing like dice. GOOD LORD I PRAY FOR BEAUTIFUL SOUND MIXING FOR BAYO 3 ! pls! DX
Finally a proper Transfomers game.
+Sewedir Agreed
What i love about you is the black and white outro, "If you like it, thumbs up and if you didnt, thumbs down!! No other RUclipsr has the balls to ever mention the thumbs down button, they are just so focused on begging for thier like goals!! awsome review!!

This had the G1 accuracy, but TF: Fall of Cybertron is still the best TF game ever and needed a sequel (or 3rd game since it was already the sequel to War for Cybertron)
I have three words to describe the awesomeness of Def Leppard. : ONE ARMED DRUMMER! (?)
"money" and "time"
Two things that Platinum just never seems to have enough of with their licensed stuff.
agreed.
When they get it right it is great. When they get it wrong the product always makes me ask "My god, how rushed were they?" OH BOY! A review of Transformers Devastation with my favorite reviewer!!!
Lol thanks brother

At 10 bucs I think ill be picking up this one today.

If I'm using the keyboard and mouse controls how do I shoot I know how to aim with ctrl but I can't figure out how to fire. everything I left/right click is just does melee attacks
I'd say it's worth 50$. I'm not worried about length or anything like that. I'll be too busy kicking ass as Grim Lock to even care. LOL!
Justin Ivan Williams He said 50, so I don't know.
+Justin Ivan Williams nope. It's 50 in the US
+Cold Gin Drinker its 49.99
Boogie is right
+Brian Steiger Yep
Also Karak I've gotta say this review reminds me of why I subbed awhile ago to your channel and still am here. You show games in a detailed way that others (ign, gamespot) simply don't do. Like the customizable weapons, upgrades and moves. Great review man.
+Joey Mercado Glad you liked it Joey
I can picture someone's uncle walking pass someone playing this game then abruptly turning around like "Hey, those riffs kick ass. Who is that?"
+Beats, Games, Life -ZimM804 LOl indeed. And that uncle would be me actually. That joke is a thin reference to my love of hair bands
I was hoping for Transformers to explore more deeper depth rather than just just hack and slash and explosions after reading the IDW comics.
Agreed jacey.That would have rocked.

Great review! Subbed, keep em coming! too bad you cant play decepticons ;( I want to play as G1 soundwave

+Startyde Thanks and agreed brother
It's already on bluray :S I've owned it for years now

Stocked u like the content man
Good review, did the bundle pack improve the game much? Or was that really just 3 extra skins?
Great review! I love this game and I will say once you've beaten the main story you will find better graded versions of starter weapons. An A grade version of Prime's rifle does some serious damage!
I'm getting it for free #PSPLUS

+deanknight333 Thanks man I totally appreciate that
this is a great game. hope it gets a sequel with a longer story and playable deceptacons
A very well done review! I was hopeful this game would turn out good as soon as I saw the first screenshot. I love the classic Transformers and Platinum's work. I'm still gonna wait for a price drop, though :)
+Gray Fox (TMladjo) Thanks so much Gray. Glad it helps
+SuperSonicSoundwave you're comparing a $15 game to a $60 game? lol
you werent far off, its got bayo combos, but it feels somewhere between korra and revengence
+RosesAreBlack To be fair... its not a $60 game. Its a $49.99 game. And its far better than Korra... and imo better than the reviewer gave credit for. thats not to say its a great game... but it is very fun.
You had me at ELECTRIC STAR SWORD!
+DevilZ s204 Oh just you wait. Much more after that!
What difficulty did you play on?
Thank you so much for bringing me this game.
I self am 27 now and my kid loves the game
Childhood being played by my own child enjoying his childhood
Now that makes me happy!
+bas248331 you bet
+bas248331 spread the word if you can!
Love the review. Definitely followed and look forwards to your reviews for 2016. You seem like a fan of transformers so would you recommend Transformer WFC and FOC?
+Chooby TV Thanks man. I was not a fan of the transformers games to be honest. But that doesn't mean they were bad
+Couch Gaming Ya its got hit once for copyright
+AngryCentaurGaming ok thanks for the heads up
so is the game as good as the previous Platinium games? Like Metal Gear Revengeace? Or like Korra? Is it as good? Cant wait for it tommorow to play on my pc.
So it's about the same length as Korra but double the price. Story is more than likely much better than Korra but what keeps me going back to Korra every once in a while is the Pro Bending. I really wish it would have had 3 v 3 online. That would have been a lot of fun. Even if they had to do away with the slow motion counters when you were returning an attack.
But not as much recognizability as transformers.
Dude, i hated the Korra game and this has nothing to do with it quality-wise. It's a great action game, seriously.
+NEOMERCER I wish Korra had a challenge mode. The core gameplay for Korra is excellent and some type of challenge/survival mode outside of Pro Bending would have been nice. But Pro Bending is surprisingly fun. The very last Pro Bending match is ridiculously hard though.
Man this game had like no advertisement. Forgot about it.
Think I'm gonna have to pass until at least a -75%.
Love Platinum games but I could never care for Transformers, not for the cartoon as a kid, even less for the Michael bay movies as an adult.
Plus it's published by Activision.
Nice one, reckon I'll wait for a price drop.
+cardiacade This has been my thinking so far, with all the talk around of how short the campaign is.
psplus October 2016:):)
First time ever watching one of your reviews and I have to say that I was entertained as much as informed....good job sir...you gained a subscriber!
+MrMdub34 Awesome thanks for subbing and glad you liked it MrMdub
I had no idea this game even existed until about a week ago, they really undercut themselves on advertising. Great review as always though, thanks.
+Shaun Lacey Ya agreed I think there should be way way more advertising
Good review. I'll pick this up when it's cheaper.
+DarthQball Black Friday
+thehouseofhoops I was thinking $20. I doubt it will be $20 by then.
+DarthQball It might. Last year I picked up Shadows of Mordar for 20 bucks from Target on Black Friday.
+DarthQball It´s $25 for ps3 and around $40 for ps4. I think those are reasonable prices.
1 issue, how does Devastator get so big if the individual bots are a normal size???!?!
i grew up with beast wars transformers, not the original but still liked this game
Great super detailed review! This is a must buy for me I just wish the original cartoon Jetfire was in it.
+Terry Yates Jetfire is the best transformer by a long stretch to me
Holy sh#t Karak!
+metvincent Enjoy it man and thanks
Love the look, feel, vibe that screams 80s G1 Transformers, but I really enjoyed playing War For Cybertron when it came out back in 2010; Devastion might come in at very close second for best Transformers based videogame made thus far.
Agreed
Another solid review, sir! Disappointed to hear about the short gameplay length but I do freaking love me some Transformers so hopefully I'll get more out of it.
I love them as well
Good review, the limitations I knew were coming and I know why: making this on last gen is the limitation. Thanks.
Sweet. Now we need a G.I. Joe: Battlefront.
+jmatt781 Boom! Brother that is exactly what we need.
Is the Lion song in this game??
I never was a huge fan of Transformers (never watched the original originals, just the other animated ones) but Im solely interest in this game because at times Platinum Games does some pretty legendary work...
Aside from Bayonetta fame, arent they the ex-clover studio?
+shotgunmasterQL I think so ya
Karak what platform was this game reviewed on? Xbone or PC?
+Walter Valerie in the description
First time watching your channel. Best and most thorough review I've seen. You've earned yourself a subscriber.
+bob jones Thanks Bob. Just remember we may not always agree but as long as we all like games...hell its gonna be a good time. Hope you continue to like the videos brother
Feeling the nostalgic love. Excellent review pal, top notch work as always.
it sounds like this game should of been a $20 xbox live arcade / psn / steam downloadable game
I love Platinum and Transformers, so I've been very excited for this. I hope Platinum can do some more licensed games based off other series in the future.
could you imagine platinum doing dragonball? just making it 10x more stupid and overlyhype than it needs to be, making people naturally liking it, like im no transformer fan but im getting this
That would be amazing. I would also like to see them make a JoJo game.
+RosesAreBlack yah but neir 2 is exclusive to ps4 and scalebound is exclusive to xbox
Christoper Bacani
what does that have anything to do with what i said lol
Your analogy on Optimus Prime being a walkie talkie has killed me hahaha that was so funny😂 great review thank you
thanks
Hey! I am that older uncle who won't stop talking about Def Leppard...... =(
me too
How does the last gen version compare to the next gen version? Ex. Xbox 360 vs Xbox 1? Thanks!!
+Brant Lisk VERY close. Resolution differences and a couple differences in special effects, geometry.
They actually are more realistic then old gen 1
really cool review. I'm a huge G1 fan.
+GavatronX9 thanks
Just got it on Steam sale for $12.49 on Steam summer sale. It totally looked worth the deal. 😄
1. Enter a battle
2. Mute game music
3. Queue up soundtrack from 1986 Movie
4. Let the awesomeness begin.
You're crazy, the OST of this game is a pure gold masterpiece.
Great review,,Thanks,;)
5 hours is really short,,
Will wait for a price drop..
+Visser1978 you bet man
Is it worth to consider the 360 version over the PS4 version if you can get it for 18 bucks less?
+noobtubephails ya the difference is a slightly lower resolution only
Thanks for your reply. I'm considering the 360 version then.
It just looks like the 2 formats do not mix well, even though it's a good effort.
does it have multiplayer? that would be a great addition with more playable characters.
Bay's films have so many problems but I don't think the designs of the robots is one of them. I love how they look, especially Age of Extinction's more humanoid streamlined style.
Hey Karak, how long did it take to complete the game? Gotta ask as it's not cheap.
+humToNoise Story around 4.5. Challenge rooms unlocked from playing story. Another 4-6
+AngryCentaurGaming Cool, that sounds reasonable given the replay value in these games.
So glad this came to PS Plus, I wouldn't have bought it myself but so glad I get to experience it. Now just keep up the good game choices Sony.
You are right. The environments were getting repetitive just watching your video.
Sorry if this question was asked. Can we play the Decepticons?
Awesome review, Another reason why this channel is the best subscription decision I ever made.
+thugg4lif True enough man true enough
I just bought this for $10. I'm having a blast. Awesome game.
Great reviews. now it will be fantastic if your reviews had an overall score.
Here is hoping future reviews will have them.
Did you not hear myrating at the end?its abuy
Ah, my bad. I guess I was looking out for a score on a scale of 10.
+Alluvian Est-Endrati Thanks spread the word if you can!
You give some of the best reviews. Thank you for all your hard work and thank you for saving me from buying this game. Gonna rent instead. Way too short
+Josh Foster You bet Josh
I'm lovin this rating system. Thanks for the unconventionally thorough review! Wasn't so sure about this buy, but honestly you've convinced me!
Btw, is there a Boss rush challenge level of any sort?
+FolstrimHori Thank you. UHm sort of ya
+FolstrimHori I believe the game has special things you can unlock while playing. Great game
Which version is this? Great review btw
+Para Soul Review makeup is in the description
